Tuffnut pressed himself against snotlout’s neck, gently kissing it. running a hand through his hair.
“Stop-“
Tuffnut froze “what?”
Snotlout let out a little breath “stop- i-“ he paused “i cant do this”
Tuffnut pulled away slightly “is- are you ok?” His eyes searched snotlout’s face for any sign of emotion
Snotlout held tuffnut tighter. “Gods- i don’t deserve you….you’re amazing….im sorry”
“Dont say that-” tuffnut frowned
“I just….i don’t get what you see in me” snotlout muttered. “What do I see in you? tuffnut moved his hand up to snotlout’s cheek, gently holding his face. “You’re amazing- you’re funny and charming- and you’re brave….and you’re so kind to me….and you’re so beautiful-”
Snotlout frowned “I don’t wanna be beautiful”
“What?? Why not?”
“I wanna be…i dunno- handsome or rugged or something…i dont wanna be beautiful”
“I dont see the problem with being both” tuff rubbed snotlout’s cheek gently. “You’re a bit of a jerk sometimes but i know you dont mean it…you’re good under all that, deep down”
Snotlout felt like crying, but at the same time he was craving more validation, he felt stupid asking for it though.
Tuffnut grabbed snotlouts hand, gently holding it in his own, rubbing his thumb against snotlout’s palm
After about a minute snotlout spoke up. “Can you… do me a favour?”
“Hm?”
“This is stupid but…could you say more nice things about me?” Snotlout looked away, embarrassed
“Sure-“ tuffnut thought for a second
“You’re great, you know that?”
“Really?”
“Mhm- and you’re a great boyfriend…and you’re so handsome-“
“You don’t have to flatter me”
“I mean it- you’re gorgeous…and I know you want me to say something more ‘masculine’, but I don’t think any of those words are like…intense enough-“
Snotlout squeezed tuffnut’s hand as he spoke
“I love the way you hold me when we kiss…and i love your hair, and your weird little moustache, and your chest hair…and your body-” snotlout was blushing like crazy, Tuff took the other man’s hand in both of his own, pressing gentle kisses to each knuckle and digit
“You’re so good to me-“ snotlout muttered
“And you’re so hard on yourself” tuffnut frowned.
“I can’t help it” he felt another kiss on his hand. “I know” tuffnut muttered
