Chapter Text

Kaiser sighed slowly. “Alright,” he said, already bracing himself. “What now?”

Rin stared at the plate like it had personally offended him.

Kaiser stared back at Rin.

For a long second, neither of them moved.

“…You said you were hungry,” Kaiser said slowly, voice tight, like he was counting every word. “Five minutes ago.”

Rin shook his head, pacifier bobbing. “No.”

Kaiser pinched the bridge of his nose. I am going to lose my mind.

“You asked for food,” he repeated. “I cooked. Sit. Eat.”

“No,” Rin said again, louder.

Kaiser’s eye twitched. “Rin.”

Rin’s hand slid to the edge of the plate.

Kaiser’s stomach dropped. “Don’t.”

Rin looked up at him, eyes sharp and challenging. His fingers curled under the plate, testing.

Oh.

This is a tantrum.

Before Rin could push it off the table, Kaiser reacted on instinct. He caught Rin’s wrist firmly and delivered three sharp swats to his padded backside—quick, controlled, not drawn out.

“Ah—!” Rin screamed, shocked more than anything, jerking away immediately. Tears sprang to his eyes as he backed up, breathing fast. “I hate you!”

Kaiser stood up straight, anger flaring hot in his chest. “Sit. Down. And eat.”

Rin shook his head wildly. “I hate you! You’re mean!”

Kaiser crossed his arms. “I don’t care. You throw that plate, you get a real spanking and a corner. Now choose.”

Rin froze.

His lip trembled. His eyes filled. He looked furious, betrayed, overwhelmed—all at once. Then, slowly, he climbed back onto the chair and pulled the plate toward himself.

Sniffling, he started eating.

Each bite looked forced. His shoulders were tight, tears dripping silently down his cheeks as he chewed, trying hard to calm himself down. The pacifier had been set aside; he kept wiping his face with his sleeve instead.

Kaiser sat back down too, eating his own food mechanically, eyes flicking to Rin every few seconds.

The silence was thick and uncomfortable.

_____

Rin finished first, pushing the plate away with a shaky sigh, still sniffing but calmer now. He didn’t look at Kaiser.

Kaiser finished a moment later and leaned back in his chair, rubbing his face with both hands.

“…What is wrong with you,” he muttered, not really angry now—just exhausted and confused.

Rin didn’t answer.

Kaiser glanced at him again. Just minutes ago, Rin had been curled against him, sweet and clingy, making soft noises with his owl plush. Now he’d been screaming, threatening, defiant.

“One minute you’re the easiest kid in the world,” Kaiser said quietly, more to himself than to Rin, “and the next you’re… this.”

Rin shifted in his chair, shoulders slumping, anger draining away into something smaller. He picked at the edge of the table, eyes wet but calmer.

Kaiser shook his head slowly. What kind of switch is that?

How does someone flip that fast?

He didn’t have an answer.

All he knew was that nothing about Rin was simple—not the regression, not the clinging, not the sudden tantrums, not even his big self is....

Kaiser exhaled deeply, staring at the table, his thoughts tangled.

I really don’t understand you, he thought.

But for some reason—despite the headache, the shouting, the confusion—he didn’t push Rin away.

_____

Kaiser had barely sat back down, when Rin got up again, wobbling slightly as he came toward him. His little hands clutched his clothes, as he looked up at Kaiser with wide, watery eyes. The weight of desperation radiated off him, and before Kaiser could stop him, Rin launched himself into Kaiser’s chest, sobbing into his shoulder.

“I… I’m sorry! I… I didn’t mean it!” Rin cried, his words were broken. Tears streamed freely down his cheeks. His little frame shook, desperate for some sort of comfort.

Kaiser froze for a second, taken aback. Normally, he would’ve held back, told Rin to compose himself, but seeing him like this, seeing how fragile he was… something inside twisted. He hugged him back, careful but firm, one arm wrapping around Rin’s back while the other settled on his shoulder. “Alright,” Kaiser murmured, trying to keep his voice calm and steady. “I know, I know… but this is the last time, Rin. No more tantrums, understand?”

Rin’s sobs hitched as he nodded rapidly, pressing himself closer into Kaiser’s chest. “Yes… yes, I… I won’t… I won’t do it again,” he sniffled.

_____

Kaiser held him for a while, rocking him gently, letting the tension in both of them slowly ebb. It was quiet after a while, only the faint hum of the football match on the TV filling the room. Two hours passed like that—Kaiser half watching the screen, half keeping a protective arm around Rin.

By the time the match ended, Rin was sitting calmly on the couch, a sippy cup of water in his hands. His little fingers gripped it tightly as he sipped slowly, eyes heavy and drooping. Kaiser noticed how Rin’s body fought against sleep, blinking slowly and trying to stay upright. It was his bedtime, and Rin was resisting as much as he could.

Kaiser sighed quietly. Alright… time to start the routine.

, Or Sae will kill him...

He stood and motioned for Rin to follow. “Come on, Rin. Bedtime now.”

Rin whined softly but complied, shuffling behind Kaiser with the sippy cup still in his hands. “I… I don’t want to…” he mumbled, voice small.

Kaiser kept his tone steady but firm. “I know, but you need to go through your routine first. Remember? Do you want Sae to be mad at you for not doing your routine."

Oh using the Sae card!

"NO!"

Rin let out a tiny sigh and trudged along. Kaiser led him to the bedroom, bottle that have milk in hand. Rin took it reluctantly, sipping three or four small gulps before letting it fall from his hands. He was too sleepy to drink more, and Kaiser simply nodded, understanding.

“Alright,” Kaiser said softly, carrying him to the bathroom.

The next part was always a little hell. Rin was asleep on his feet, and getting him to use the potty was a challenge. Kaiser gently sat him on the bowl. Rin slumped immediately, barely conscious, eyes half-closed.

“Rin… hey, you need to pee,” Kaiser said, shaking him lightly. Rin stirred, groaning, pushing slightly against the bowl.

“I… I can’t… I’m too sleepy!” Rin murmured, voice thick with exhaustion.

“Come on, just a little,” Kaiser encouraged. “Try to pee for me.”

Rin grumbled and mumbled, finally forcing himself to comply. When he managed to pee, Kaiser smiled softly and said, “Good boy, Rin.” He guided him to the sink to wash his hands.

“I can do it myself,” Rin mumbled, trying to reach the faucet.

Kaiser shook his head gently. “You can, but tonight… I’ll help. Just a little bit.”

Rin pouted but allowed him to place him on the sink. Kaiser handed him the green dinosaur toothbrush. Rin attempted to brush his teeth himself. “I can do it!” he insisted.

“I know you can, but not tonight,” Kaiser replied patiently. “I’ll help you. Remember, just because you did one thing by yourself doesn’t mean you get to do everything.”

Rin grumbled, but he allowed Kaiser to guide the toothbrush, cleaning carefully while muttering softly under his breath, too sleepy to argue.

Once his teeth were done, Kaiser gently helped him into his night pajamas. Rin lay almost entirely on Kaiser’s arm, heavy and limp, clearly too tired to even stand upright. Kaiser adjusted the pajama, tucking him in carefully, thinking briefly that he might as well be a servant at this point. The weight of Rin against him was surprisingly grounding.

Finally, Kaiser stepped back to turn off the lights. Rin’s breathing was shallow and steady, small whimpers escaping as he curled further into himself. Kaiser froze as he heard a soft, broken whisper:

“Niichan…”

Kaiser rolled his eyes faintly to himself, quietly shaking his head. Even in his sleep… he’s still thinking of him.

He knelt beside the bed for a moment, pressing a gentle hand to Rin’s back. “Sleep well, Rin,” he murmured softly. “Everything’s okay.”

Rin mumbled something incoherent, his little face nuzzled against the pillow, giving him his pacifier. Kaiser stepped back quietly, leaving him to rest, finally feeling a sliver of calm after the chaos of the day. The weight of the little’s presence was heavy, exhausting—but somehow comforting too.

Kaiser knew tomorrow would bring more challenges. But for now… Rin was asleep, finally at peace.

____

About six hours had passed since Kaiser had finally left Rin to sleep peacefully, when a sharp ring at the door cut through the quiet apartment. Kaiser’s head immediately snapped up. He didn’t even need to check the peephole—he knew who it was. Bunny and Sae had finally returned.

Kaiser’s stomach twisted in anticipation and irritation. Finally… they came. And I’m about to lose it.

He moved toward the door, his mind racing. Once Sae gets in, I’m asking about Rin, I’m checking every routine, and if this kid has caused trouble because of their negligence… Kaiser’s hands curled into fists. I’m going to explode.

He swung the door open, voice sharp as a whip. “About time! Where the hell have you—”

Sae stepped in cautiously, wide-eyed, taking in Kaiser’s scowl. “Uh… we—”

“Don’t you start!” Kaiser interrupted, cutting him off. “How the fuck do you leave him with me? All day, screaming, tantrums, crying—what the hell were you thinking?”

Sae took a small step back, panic obvious in his eyes. "kaiser clam down—”

Kaiser’s gaze snapped to Bunny, who stood calmly just behind Sae, hands in pockets, a faint, knowing smile on his face. Kaiser’s voice climbed higher. “And you! Don’t just stand there smiling! Do you know what you left me with? He can’t even handle being away from Sae for one day without losing it!”

"I even know you two have been fucking without me!!"

Bunny’s smile widened, subtle but deliberate, as if he had been expecting this. “I understand,” he said simply, voice calm. “we will take you next time.”

Kaiser’s jaw dropped. “…Excuse me?”

Bunny just smiled

Bunny knows what Kaiser have been through

he almost feel guilty for not taking him. But there was no one to babysit Rin in Spain. everyone is in different country.

unfortunately Sae doesn't know what Rin do  because, Rin only does this—slipping, crying, tantrums, confusion—with people who aren’t his niichan. Even Isagi can manage him somewhat, but not with the same professionalism. Not like

Kaiser’s hands shook. “You’re… smiling at me right now?”

Bunny shrugged lightly, still smiling knowingly. “I just… understand.”

Sae, still wide-eyed, backed further into the apartment. “Kaiser,… I didn’t realize… he doesn’t cause trouble like this with me. I thought—”

Kaiser cut him off, rage coiling in his chest. “Thought what? That I could handle a little devil with the patience of an angel?”

Before he could continue, a small, high-pitched voice broke through, panicked and excited: “Niichan!”

Kaiser turned just in time to see Rin bolting toward Sae, confused eyes now lighting up, tears already forgotten. Rin’s arms shot out as he collided with Sae, wrapping himself around his brother tightly, his little body shaking with relief.

Kaiser froze mid-rant. Seeing Rin cling so desperately to Sae, screaming his brother’s name, all of his fury paused. For a moment, Kaiser realized—he had just woken him up from a nap with his loud voice. Rin had been so deep in sleep that Kaiser had thought him fully calm.

Sae immediately melted into the hug, kissing Rin gently on his head, murmuring comfort. “Niichan is so sorry, Rin. I shouldn’t have left you alone. I promise I won’t do it again. You need more sleep… I should’ve stayed with you.”

Rin buried his face into Sae’s chest, his little hands clutching at his shirt. “Niichan…” he mumbled, already drifting back into a sleepy state, seeking the safety he had only with Sae.

Kaiser watched, tense and silent, as Bunny stepped into view. Rin’s eyes flicked toward him, glaring—anger and accusation clear. Bunny had been the one who took Rin’s niichan away earlier, after all. But Rin didn’t say anything, just allowed Bunny to gently scoop him up, adjusting his body to make him comfortable, muttering dramatically about whether he was wet or not. Rin’s glare softened into sleepy acceptance as Bunny soothed him back toward calm.

Kaiser’s mind raced. This was the kid who had been clinging to him, tantruming, and resisting everything for hours—now asleep in Bunny’s arms, muttering faintly, secure with his niichan nearby.

Sae turned to Kaiser, eyes wide and apologetic. “I'm sorry Kaiser... I own you.”

"We will invite you next time.."

Kaiser took a deep breath, slowly letting the tension drain from his shoulders. He glanced at Rin, now nestled in Bunny’s arms, and finally shook his head. “…Yeah. Whatever. Just… get the hell out. And grab his things while you’re at it.”

Bunny smirked faintly, still holding Rin securely. Well he didn't refuse...

Sae gave Kaiser a small, sheepish nod before gathering Rin’s little bag and other things.

Finally coming to Kaiser's cheeks. and give him a kiss on it....that startled him ,but before questioning anything. bunny also came to view and kissed Kaiser’s forehead and patting his hair .

"you did great kaiser."

Kaiser blushed a little, but he tried to contain himself from bringing a reaction. However the other two didn't tease him.

He watched the other two leaving the house with sleeping Rin, and not bothering to get an answer from him .

Kaiser stepped back, exhaling heavily, muttering under his breath. “Finally… some peace.”

Rin, half-asleep, whispered once more into Bunny’s shoulder, “Niichan…” before curling against his brother again, completely at ease now. Kaiser closed the door behind them, finally able to sink back against the wall and process the chaos of the day—he could breathe now.
