Chapter Text
Akito was someone who randomly came into my life, but someone I wouldn't let go of at all. In middle school, she showed up in Vivid Street one day and continued to show up pretty consistently since. She always noticed Akito watching her quietly from the sidelines, admiring her from afar. Akito had no clue that An had recognised her; and as much as she would love to tease her about it, the memories of the sweet and envious gazes she received when they were young.
When her and Kohane's first performance as Vivid's was sabotaged, she was absolutely pissed at Akito. But later, when she found out Akito had taken the blame even though she wasn't even part of it, it really warmed her heart. Akito was willing to sabotage her relationship with them just because she wanted to protect her friend, even though she was pissed at them.
Which is why it shocked her so much when Akito left. Akito, the girl who was insanely passionate about singing and music, was just ok the leave just like that? She wanted to be angry but the overwhelming sense of something being wrong overweighed any form of anger she might have. They had been singing all together for a bit over a year now, and since they started, it's been clear Akito had serious mental health issues. She knew Akito's had at least 2 suicide attempts that she's aware of, and one was during the group existing.
Akito was having a rough week, and she was just insanely depressed. She didn't want to leave her room at all and ignored every text message she got. At some point, the thoughts that swarmed her head got too much and she overdosed on her brother's medication. She remembered the panicked phone call she got from her older brother and the way she rushed to her parent's bedroom in tears, the lectures both herself and Toya gave her when she was ok and the temporary hiatus they had to take while Akito was in the mental hospital. She never wants that day to happen ever again.
After about a week of constant stress, she received a phone call from Akito's older brother, Ena. She quickly picked up and responded before he could say a word.
"Is Akito ok?!" The words came out rushed and nervous.
"Uhm... Well she ran away from home after a fight with dad. Usually she goes to the park when she's upset like this and I thought it'd be better for you to go find her instead. I don't think she'll listen to me-"
"Thank you! I'll go find her!!" An said quickly and hung up before throwing on a jacket and shoes before rushing out of the house. She made sure she got an extra jacket in case Akito needed it.

Once she finally found Akito, she was lying on the bench, looking miserable.
"Akito!!!" She yelled out and started running again. She had started looking around, confused on what the voice was, before finally seeing An. When An had finally got to the bench, she threw her arms around Akito. She had started rambling before she realised Akito was crying. "Oh Akito... Sweetheart..." She hugged her tightly. She always used pet names like that with her friends, especially when they were upset. She wrapped the extra jacket around her.
"Ena told me what happened... So if you don't wanna talk about it, that's ok..." Which only was responded with a sniffle.
When An was walking home with Akito in tow, they didn't speak a single word. It wasn't appropriate either. The only sounds exchanged between them was a quiet hiccups from Akito. She gently rubbed Akito's hand every now and then. She was always the friend to comfort others, and Akito had always checked on her every time she was struggling and looked out for her. It made An want to make sure she was there for Akito too. This was the least she could do for her. This girl was so perfect, well, she was far from perfect, but she loved her. It was something neither of them had ever mentioned, more like a mutual understanding. An was never shy about her feelings, but Akito definitely was. But An was ok with that, and she was there for Akito.
When they arrived at An's house, she took Akito upstairs to her room. She offered her a bath and was shocked that Akito was actually ok with getting in the bath together. It was something An never expected. It almost made her excited too, that Akito was actually comfortable with something so intimate. Most people would have their minds flooded with perverted thoughts, but An was just happy Akito was open to something like that. She wanted to take care of her, and there was absolutely no way she would ever try and even make any sexual advances on someone who was crying not even 10 minutes ago.
She went off to get pyjamas for herself and Akito as the bath was running. She made sure they were comfortable and warm, considering how cold it was outside. Before she forgot, she quickly grabbed her phone and sent a message to Ena.
An!! - Today at 11:17pm
Heyyy, Akito's ok
She's just gonna stay with me tonight because I thought it'd be better than making her go back home
Ena - Today at 11:18pm
All good, thanks for taking care of her
An smiled and put her phone down and quickly went to the bathroom. She decided to get in first to make Akito more comfortable. She covered her eyes while Akito got undressed and hopped in, to make sure she was comfortable. Once she noticed the water shift, she uncovered her eyes and looked at her, noting the shy look on her face. For a girl who acts so tough, she's incredibly shy. She thought it was the cutest thing ever. She just wanted to smother this girl in kisses and hugs, but she didn't want to push her. She noticed the angry red lines across her arms, and she felt horrible. She didn't want to overwhelm her though, so she held back.
An reached out and gently grabbed her hand, moved it to her lips and pressed a soft kiss to it, gently caressing it soothingly. After a few words back and forth, they were leaning into each other, basically making out. It shocked her that Akito initiated it too. The two were almost trying to combine into one. They eventually pulled away for air, which left Akito pouting slightly. (An wondered if Akito realised she was pouting in the first place.) She gently caressed her hair.
"C'mon.. We should probably get out and get dressed." An smiled warmly.
"Hmph... Fine." Akito hummed, following along.
An gently lead her to her bedroom once they were dressed, and flopped onto her bed, patting the space next to her. Once Akito was settled, An threw her arms around her tightly.
"You comfy?" An grinned.
"...Yeah." Akito said quietly, a small smile on her face. "Uh... Thank you..."
"Well you'd do this for me if I was upset, wouldn't you? Besides, you're always doing things for me so I gotta return the favour!" An winked, which was returned with a blush from Akito.
"...Shuddup... Let's just go to sleep..." Akito mumbled while burrowing further in the blankets and resting her head on An's chest. She giggled and pet Akito's hair.
"Whatever you say~"
