Chapter Text
You acted as a cat, letting your curiosity get in the way of your boredom. Hopefully it wouldn’t kill you yet. One peek couldn’t hurt right?
Victor's lab was a wide open space. The sunlight streamed through a giant beautiful window. It was round like it was the center of the earth.
It’s almost dreamlike until your eyes dart from entrails to limbs! Ice and brain matter. It was a massacre. A post war scene.
“What on earth are you doing in here? I told you never to enter my lab!”
Victor's voice boomed, catching you in the act.
You froze not even noticing the shallow pool blood under your shoes.
He frowned, strutting over to you in long strides.
“Answer me woman!”
You swallowed.
“So This is what you do? Play with body parts in your tower while I go mad in my solitude!?”
His eyes are furious.
“Play? You think of this as childish?
Your eyes become shiny with tears. He grabs your shoulders.
“Look at me!” He says almost shaking your form.
You let out a sob like a frightened child.
“God damn it, look at me!”
He eyes are frantic but also heavy with exhaustion. Their deep brown hue melted you down to a puddle.
You take a breath.
“I wish to see you in the daylight. Have conversations like any husband and wife. Why must you lock yourself away, Victor.”
He placed his hand on your neck. His thumb rubbed your throat gently.
“You must understand," he started in a hushed tone.
"Once I prove myself, conquer death, everything will change. I am so very close. I can feel it. You will be proud of your husband.”
Kissing your forehead, your eyes flutter closed. Savoring the contact.
“Darling, allow me to work. It will all be worth it. I swear to you. This is for us. Our future. ”
You smiled at his strange optimism.
“I am quite proud of you Victor. No matter what is it you conquer. ”
He came to bed that night. As you adjusted your night gown, an arm snaked around your form. His breath hit your ear.
“Are you still ticklish darling?”
He runs a finger along your stomach.
“Oh please don’t.”
You bark out a laugh. The shock of your flesh from his touch.
He tried to make you jump. You run to the other side of the bed him quickly behind. His hands reach out to touch you.
Your feet are fast, taking you back to the other side of the bed in no time.
“Stop you madman!”
You shriek with delight. Your smile big as the sky.
You climb upon the bed. He clings to your hips.
“Victor!”
Hes on top of you, grabbing your hands separating them to either side of your head.
He’s out of breath. He looks down at you. Huffing, hair in his face. His smile is devilish and so unfortunately handsome.
You swallow hard.
“Make love to me Victor. Just like the first night. After the wedding.”
His smile turned smug. You held him close to your heart as he kissed your neck.
After some much needed intercourse, you lie in eachothers arms. He confessed something to you.
“When I was just a boy. My mother and I would play outside. She’d chase me around the gardens. We’d both fall to the ground laughing until we couldn’t breathe.
That made you smile. Imagining a tiny Victor.
“Father would watch us from the window with cruel eyes. One night I heard them arguing. He told her we could no longer play outside for fear our complexions would grow darker. “
His entire face was a scowl.
“He’d be pleased to know how much I stay indoors.”
You began tracing the outline of his face. You paid great attention to his strong nose. Stroking it downwards slowly.
“I wish he could see how lovely your skin is Victor. How warm. As if you were kissed by the sun.“
You could have sworn she saw Victor blush, even in the dark room.
“You are all the sun I need, dearest.”
You ended with a peck to his nose and cheeks.
“Let’s go by the sea, Victor! We need to get out of the house. Let the sun kiss us both.”
He lets out a big yawn.
“After.” He mumbles.
“After I concur death.” He adds just before he drifts off to sleep.
