Chapter Text
During war (separated at first):
Metallight [R-2043] Neutral
A stubborn, but convenient bot to have around, being the best sniper of the trio especially on high grounds. Loves to take the skies to her advantage. Can be hot-headed when her aim gets criticised. Its a habit of hers to gatekeep things she find.
Her hologram technology that she acquired from one of her scavenges is rarely used by her since it costed quite the amount of energy when used for a long period, as it was an early version and it did not work similarly like Mirage's, which relied on his own energon instead of a recharging one. It can only produce simple holograms, animated ones, and to scavange stealthyly.
Skydrop [C-863] Decepticon
A fast-paced and impatient bot of all time. With her having the element of surprise on her side, she could be behind a bot to pull off her annoying tricks at any time.. or ruthlessly end their lives on the spot. She prefers to make her opponents go mad before actually fighting them.
Ferrum [M-1511] Autobot
A competent rule following bot, usually rational with his choices. He tends to be more sympathetic than his fellow split-sparks, always trying to talk things out before resorting into violence. He relies on his servos more than his weapons. Even when he couldn't graduate in time, he still has enough medical expertise to qualify as an airborne medic.
Now.. to step on the game.. how were they like before the war?
To prepare for an if to happen war against the Quintessons, the government concluded to forge quite the number of waves of seekerframes, with every single one of them having the same design. Pretty much like Starscream [IDW].
The newly brought online seekers were sended to training camp, by the government's orders. Some of the seekers found that being one isn't suiting for them which led to a few of them attempting to escape, giving them a chance to become something else rather than what they are destined to be. They met each other when Skydrop had a fight with Metallight during camp, whilst Ferrum became the breaker, or in other words, fate.
Ferrum is still the same pacifist bot as always, chasing his dreams to become a doctor, a medic atleast, to help injured Cybertronians especially energon miners and also having the idea that 'why haven't they thought about airborne medics?' good, but it is mainly due to his split-sparks getting themselves injured for their reckless shenanigans. During his studies at medical academies, he finds it quite stressful at times especially during interacting with other future doctors. He was not a sociable bot, but thankfully, he has Skydrop and Metallight to assist him in socialising. He always tries his best to find a break from his studies to spend some time with his split-sparks. In the edge of the war almost beginning, he dropped himself out seeing that he could not achieve his goals in time, atleast, he has some medical expertise in his servos, especially in a war where medics are on high demand and energon spilled everywhere. He also finds Optimus Prime convincing, in doing so, he tries to convince his fellow split-sparks to join the Autobots, which did not go well, especially on Skydrop.
Skydrop didn't really plan things out much in her processor, but she did have once thought to be part of the wreckers just for fun, which her split-sparks comrades didn't agree for her to be one. Hearing the word 'wrecker' was already the word equivalent of wanting to commit suicide for who knows what, the corrupted government? Fellow wreckers? She was also an airborne bot, making her not suitable to be a wrecker as they mainly focused on ground type alt-forms. Skydrop was also quite a wild card, she tends to join protests against the corruption, much to Ferrum's dismay, she could've got hurt in the process, which she did at some times, major and minor ones. Skydrop was also infamous in small parts of Iacon for her disruptions and sabotages within the government's facilities, tinkering with their security and more heinous acts. One time, she attempted to make a blackout occur in one of the meetings the council always hold, her attempt was disrupted by one of the securities, she was lucky enough to be able to flee in time thanks to her alt form and speed, in doing so, she avoided into getting a big number on her head. As the war began, she was tempted to join Megatron's side, as he was known as a gladiator during the early war, this made the trio get into a big fight as they argued either to join the Autobots or the Decepticons faction.
Metallight was surprisingly quite hardworking before the war, getting on part-time jobs and side hustles to acquire enough shanix to continue on Ferrum's dream to become a medic, and to also contribute something to the community. She rarely joins in Skydrop's protests but helps her in getting away from the authorities when she gets herself in trouble, again. During her free-time, she wanders around Cybertron especially flat terrains in search of a good place to practice her aim, this increased her accuracy in using her blaster, just in case if anything happens to them. She likes to socialise with everybot, meeting with them and talk about their current life and sometimes the government, she has once met Prowl during one of her side hustles, due to flying above the acceptable perimeter in Iacon, it went well, excluding his constant lashing out. She cares for her split-sparks as much as they care for each other, even if she is quite stubborn at some point by overworking herself, leading her to get low on energon most of the time. During the fight the trio were having, Metallight chose to become a rogue Cybertronian, not wanting to join on any faction as she can't make up on a decision for the argument.
Alas, the trio was separated.
A popular saying that we always hear for any war topic:
"War impacts everyone differently."
Energon was spilled everywhere, the loss of countless sparks had become a consecutive thing to hear. Resources begin to scarce throughout the war, especially energon supplies and high demands for medics. The Decepticons were more progressive and advanced than the Autobots, letting them have the best out of a situation for the most part. Even so, the Decepticons were also known for their lack of emphaty and unimaginable war crimes towards their opponents and even to their own kind.
For the first few cycles of war, Ferrum and Skydrop tries their best to be convenient to their faction. Skydrop became a Decepticon Seeker, just like what she was destined to be, while Ferrum became something he has always dreamed of, a medic, an airborne one. Metallight on the other hand continued on to survive and thrive throughout all the crossfire, scavenging what's left of everything, she acquired a hologram tech in one of her scavenges too, which helped her a lot, literally. She wasn't as stealthy as Skydrop,
Trivia
- The trio has yellow colored optics, no further explanation needed.
- Their amica enduras with each other.
- They do not care which faction they are on much as long as they stay online, inseparated. They weren't like this much during the separation.
- Ferrum was easily mistaken as a Decepticon Seeker in the early war.
- If one of them were to be fond on one of the acquaintances they've met, they would still be friendly with them even in different factions, forcing the other two of the trio to do the same.
- They also have similar alternative forms, taking the form of an F-22 or F-15.
- The three of them have different perceptives and ways to handle every single situations they go through, making them quite unpredictable unless one of their sparks are on the line.
Specialties:
Metallight: Holograms, good sniper.
Skydrop: speed, having the element of surprise most of the time.
