Chapter Text
Pixal's hair whipped around in the wind, silver strands somewhat blocking her vision. The other ninja and the kids stood facing a large earth dragon. But large didn't feel like it properly conveyed its size. It was as large as the mountain their home sat on.
Before she could finish processing, the scene turned to a dark gateway. She could see Lloyd and the kids walking in. She wanted to go after them or yell out them. She could sense something wrong in thier environment. But she was rooted in place. That is until a cold hand took hers.
“Zane?” She whispered under she breath.
Yet again, the dark and eerie scene shifted to the light, snowy forest of Northern Ninjago. Zane stood next to her, staring ahead as ice and snow swirled. He wasn't doing this.
The last thing she saw was a bright blue light.
Pixal jolted awake. She had a near perfect memory, she thought, but her dream was already slipping through the cracks of her mind. The dream wasn't, from what she could sense, particularly distressing. But her core felt like it overheating and her breathing was quick. After laying there for another few minutes, she got out of her bed to prepare for the day.
In the kitchen, Arin and Sora sat eating toast, Kai was eating a slice of bread, and Jay and Nya were each eating a bowl of cereal. Zane was just sitting there, a cup of tea in front of him. Sora was talking about one of her invention ideas. Arin looked up from the blueprints.
“Hi Pixal!” Arin waved at Pixal.
“Good morning, Arin.” Pixal sat down next to Zane.
“How did you sleep?” Zane asked, turning to Pixal.
“I had a rather interesting dream, though I don't remember most of it.” Pixal said. “May I.” She gestured to the mug in front of Zane. After receiving a nod, she took a sip.
“We should get to training, right Sora?” Arin jabbed Sora in the ribs with his elbow.
“Yeah.” Sora got up and put their plates in the sink. Kai opened his mouth to speak but Sora answered before he could ask. “Don't worry, we'll get Wyldfyre and Frak up.” She said before she and Arin disappeared around the corner.
“That reminds me, I should check to see if Lloyd actually listened and slept or spent all night reading, again.” She sighed before walking down the hall to Lloyd's room.
