Chapter Text
"Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyou!"
Adam was hugging the sword nearly the same way you had when you'd brought it home earlier. His brows were drawn up like he was trying not to cry and his knees gave out under him so he plopped down heavily on the edge of your bed.
You couldn't even imagine what it had been like for him, stuck in a boring gray world for years, looking for his way home with nothing to go on and no one believing him. Suddenly he was believed and here was the sword and he could go home—all in the span of maybe twenty minutes. It had to be overwhelming. Adam looked up at you now, the person that had given him everything he'd been asking for.
The two of you had been getting along so well over the past two weeks. It had been the easiest thing in the world to let the conversation become flirtatious. You had talked quite a bit about what you'd do if he ever ended in your bed. Now here he was, on your bed, but instead of doing any of the things you'd talked about he was going to disappear.
He sat there, looking at you and he still hadn't raised the sword. He swallowed hard. "You could come visit some time. You—might even want to stay." He looked unsure of himself like he had said something wrong. "I know that we've only just—but—You talk to me and I'm understood for the first time in fifteen years. I know it's way too soon. I just—"
You stepped forward and held his face gently before kissing him. "I would love to visit." You didn't want to say goodbye, not to someone you've wanted your whole life. "Not just yet though." You knew how his stories worked. "I trip over my own feet and when you get back Skeletor will probably be up to some shady shit." You're still holding his face and he's not pulling away, if anything he's leaning into your touch. "But! He Man always wins." You tap the tip of his nose as you say it.
"He Man?" Adam looked wide eyed and incredibly bashful about that name being spoken. He pulls back slightly, one of his hands goes up to cover yours so that he won't be pulling away from your hold as he leans back to look at you more fully. You realize then that he doesn't know yet. He has no idea who he is going to become when he raises that sword and says the words.
"The-" you stammer a moment at being the one to tell him in this world, at being part of the story. You can't help but grin at getting to explain this to him. "The show was called He Man and the Masters of The Universe and in it Prince Adam—" your thumb strokes the corner of Adam's mouth as he smiles, "raises his magic sword and says "By the power of Grayskull, I have the power!" You whisper-shouted it and he was beaming at you like it was the most wonderful thing he had ever heard. You've just noticed he has dimples. You wish you could spend hours and hours memorizing every detail of him. "And you become 'He Man, The Most Powerful Man In The Universe.'" The way you said the last words made it obvious you were quoting something word for word.
He stood up, one hand gripping the sword to himself the other covering your hand on his face. He leaned down kissing you like it was going to be all he would get for a long time. Still he beamed at you like everything was finally going to turn out right. "I will come back." He promised.
He stepped away, adjusting his hold on the sword. Half afraid of the thing, half marveling at it, like he was looking for signs of confirmation from it that he was the defender Eternia had been waiting for. He looked at you—one last time—before he raised the sword, "By the power of grayskull, I have the power!"
You had half expected nothing to happen, for it to have only been a very convincing fake, or for him to disappear entirely, but neither of those things occurred. Instead, after a flash of light where you were sure you saw the image of Castle Grayskull, He Man was standing before you looking down at himself "oh...wow."
"YUP." You could feel your face redden but Adam hadn't noticed yet because he was looking at himself and at the sword, slightly confused.
"I was supposed to be sent home?" His voice was still that gentle quiet Adam. The vulnerable voice that made you want to hear him beg and now he was wearing so very little. You couldn't help picturing getting on your knees for him, teasing him until he whined, but now was not the time.
Adam noticed then how red your face was and how you couldn't help but ogle him a little bit even when he was looking right at you. He tried to suppress the smirk that told you he was trying to not let this go to his head.
You forced yourself to get a grip on the situation and nothing else. "I have no idea if it'll work in this…version of reality—but in the show sometimes you would communicate with the Sorceress telepathically. Maybe try focusing on that power you definitely have," you glanced at his abs you couldn't help it, "and see if that works?"
His shoulders rolled in a little worth-a-shot gesture and he closed his eyes, breathing deeply. Adam's brows were furrowed in concentration for a minute until they shot upward with an expression that was much more happy-go-lucky prince than muscle-bound hero.
"O-okay..." He answered aloud to a voice that only he could hear before opening his eyes again. He sat back down on the foot of your bed looking like he didn't know what to do with himself.
"Teela and Beastman are already racing to see who can get to me first. We have until morning at the earliest." There was a clipped sort of energy that was rolling off of him, like he felt like he could go a million miles a minute but had been asked to just sit tight.
There were other ways he could expend that energy. "So what you're saying," you pressed back into him again, between his legs, "is we have all night." Your hands travel along the edge of his harness as you look at him with intent.
He grinned up at you in mock scandal, "On the first date?"
-
Adam left trails of kisses down your body. Heavy lidded eyes looked up at you from between your legs before his tongue ran the length of your cunt. Your hands went to his hair as he kissed between your legs like he'd found the sweetest taste in the world. He sucked on your clit as his fingers pressed into you.
"You're so good!" You groaned as he worked his tongue and fingers. "Oh God, Adam!" Your hips began to roll upward into his mouth. He moaned against you and you gasped at the vibration. "You're so perfect—Always thought you were—even—oh god yes—before you were real." Your body tipped easily over the edge as he moaned again against your clit.
He dragged himself up your body, looking desperate for pleasure of his own now. He had left the outfit on, partly because he enjoyed how flustered it was making you and partly because there didn't seem to be a way to actually remove it. It had formed and fitted around him through magic and would only come off that way. He could adjust it enough to free his cock and that was all he really wanted at the moment.
He pressed himself into you with a sigh of relief. Your breath mingled as his hips began to roll in gentle indulgent circles."I dreamed of you too." He confessed it like it was the most important secret in the world. "I kept wishing for someone who'd believe me, who'd want me around, who I felt right with." You wanted to say that that wasn't you, that was just what he deserved from anyone, but the motion of his hips had become proper thrusts and you could hardly think. "I'd close my eyes and I'd see this face." His fingers trailed along your cheek. "You. Only ever you." He kissed you fiercely and your hands gripped the back of his harness as his hands traveled everywhere.
You were unsure how long you'd been at it. You'd already come again and you could feel a third peak fast approaching. It felt like the entire world was Adam. His hands roaming your thighs, his legs tangled with your own, his mouth kissing everything he could reach, his cock slamming home over and over again at a frantic pace. This reality was where you belonged. With him.
Adam was getting close. He hadn't broken a sweat at all but he was gasping, "yes" over and over, along with your name, said like a plea.
"You gonna come for me?" You groaned out the words.
"Yes." It sounded desperate.
"Come for me, Adam. Come on." He must have been waiting for permission because as soon as you said it he was crying out against your skin and you could feel him filling you as his hips twitched roughly. You felt another wave of pleasure take over as he finished in you.
He clung to you, kissing your temple or the top of your head, until you fell asleep in his arms. It was early morning when he stirred you awake with an apology.
"I have to go. I don't want Beastman going after you."
You pouted, half asleep and already missing him. "Beastman is a bitch. You can take him."
He laughed and there were those dimples again. You ran your fingers along his cheek and he did the same to you. "I promise I will come back for you." He kissed you fondly, like someone who has loved you for years.
-
You would have doubted yourself again had it not been for the news reports and the hundreds of pictures and videos online of a redheaded woman and the man you had spent the night with fighting that flea-bitten fuck before taking off in a space ship.
Even as days turned into weeks, you couldn't help but believe he would come back for you. You didn't doubt his promise to you or that he would win. If he hadn't shown up yet then he had a reason. Prince Adam would always keep his word. You knew him better than he knew himself.
Even if he never came back for you, you had had a night with your dream man. He had wanted you like you wanted him. You still really wanted him to come back.
It was months before you heard a knock at your door. It was Adam, looking apologetic and terrified. He's wearing the pink vest and white shirt that Prince Adam was known for. "I'm so sorry I took so long." He was already pleading. "Skeletor had taken over and that only took a few days to fix but Eternos had been destroyed and I couldn't just leave everybody to clean up the mess and I wanted everything to be perfect when I brought you home. I really am sorry."
You pulled him into a kiss before rolling out the luggage you had kept packed and ready by the door since the day he left. He blinked down at the case then at you smirking up at him. "Let's go home." you tell him.
