Chapter Text

Jimin was better now… at least he could actually stomach his food, he was looking healthier too, his skin wasn’t as pale and his eyes were brighter too.

Yoongi felt relieved… Jimin was a nice boy with bad luck. That was it, he didn’t deserve the pain he had gone through and somehow he didn’t want Jimin to suffer ever again. He had never considered himself a good man, but here he was thinking of ways to make Jimin’s life a bit more normal.

It had happened before… even more in the last few days, now that Jimin was more aware of his surroundings and the drugs finally left his body… the sense of reality was too strong for him and the nightmares were terrible, but Yoongi knew that in time he’d be better. Still, from time to time Jimin would do things like undress himself in front of Yoongi and stay still… waiting.

It was hard for Yoongi to see him and not do anything, because even if that was not his life anymore, Yoongi truly liked Jimin’s body. Yoongi had to explain to him that it wasn’t necessary for him to do that anymore… that Yoongi was doing things because he felt like it and not because he expected something in return.

Maybe with time Jimin would come to him and not feel obligated… Yoongi sincerely hoped so.

Yoongi noticed that Jimin didn’t like the idea of leaving the apartment, he probably felt safe inside, but Yoongi had work to do and sometimes he was out all day and it worried him to leave Jimin alone for so long. It got to the point were he placed cameras on every corner, he locked the windows and the drawers with knives in the kitchen.

One day he had had to end a meeting sooner than anticipated because while the presentation was going he vaguely decided to check on the cameras and he saw Jimin submerging himself in the tub and not coming up to breathe…

Time would heal the wounds… but Yoongi knew that those would get better if Jimin started to experience changes and so the first change was when Yoongi proposed him to have a job in one of his bars, as a waiter, nothing more, nothing less.

Jimin had freaked out at first, but a few days later he had asked Yoongi about it again; it was a nice place, a sports bar… men were more interested in the games on the television to even look at the person handing them their drinks.

Yoongi tried not to, but his worry had him monitoring Jimin’s progress in his job along with his schedule, make sure he was home safe and sound by the right time and if Jimin took a bit longer to get home he usually freaked out and had to go out and look for him.

It happened… one time Jimin was supposed to be home by midnight, but it was almost four in the morning and he was nowhere to be seen, he wasn’t answering his phone either and Yoongi had almost called the cops to look for him.

He went back to his apartment to drown in misery when he heard the door opening and closing. Jimin stood there blinking in surprise at him for being awake so late.

“Where the fuck were you?!” Yoongi had snapped angrily as he scanned his body for any injuries, but Jimin only flinched in surprise; Yoongi never yelled at him. “Have you seen the time?! I was fucking worried!” He yelled again and Jimin lowered his gaze.

“I am sorry, hyeong.” Jimin said softly and Yoongi felt horrible for yelling at him, but in the end he couldn’t be different.

Jimin had suddenly approached him and placed his small hands on Yoongi’s shoulders and when Yoongi met his eyes he was smiling widely at him… a smile he hadn’t seen in too long.

“Hyeong… I did something today.” Jimin said excitedly and then proceeded to discard his backpack and Yoongi frowned when he pulled of his shirt.

“Jimin, what are y-”

“Look…” Jimin turned around and Yoongi was surprised to see the covered tattoo… it was hard to appreciate it when it was recently done, but Yoongi picked out the butterfly.

“You came home late because… you got a tattoo?” Yoongi asked and Jimin giggled; the sound made him swallow thickly. If a simple thing like a tattoo made him happy, then Yoongi would be okay with Jimin filling his body with them.

“Yeah! It is the first time I do something like this…” Jimin said and Yoongi stared at his young face… he wished his hair was long enough to cut the red strands too, but everything in due time.

That night Jimin had allowed him to touch him and kiss him, Yoongi had fucked him slowly, kissing his nape and being careful with his tattoo, but in any case Yoongi had always fucked Jimin from behind…

“College… how about it?” Yoongi asked and Jimin scratched his cheek as he pondered about it; was there anything a person like him could do at college?

“I am not sure, hyeong… there’s nothing I am actually good at…” Jimin said and Yoongi snorted loudly, Jimin gave him a shy look.

“We are visiting the Art school tomorrow. You’ll pick something and… Min Corporation will gladly invest in your education, Park Jimin-ssi.” He said seriously and his stoic face had actually pulled a loud laugh from Jimin’s lips.

“Thank you, Min Yoongi-ssi… I will gladly visit said school with you tomorrow.” Jimin said and bowed a bit. Yoongi smiled, but Jimin missed the gesture.

The next day Jimin felt his chest constricted as he stared at the tall buildings, the amount of students moving around and how everyone seemed so busily happy. Jimin swallowed hard as he moved after Yoongi, his eyes taking everything in.

Yoongi pushed open the glass door to the main building and he slipped by right next to the person coming out, because Jimin was so distracted he didn’t notice the person and ended up colliding with them and sending books and papers everywhere.

“I am sorry!” Jimin rushed to apologize and knelt to start picking up things.

“No, it’s okay… I was in a hurry.” A deep voice said and Jimin stopped his movements to look up at the person crouched in front of him…

“Taetae?” He asked and the person in front of him raised his face with a frown, his eyes scanned Jimin’s face for a moment before it downed on him. “You… y-you…” Jimin swallowed thickly, but word got stuck in his throat and before he could do anything Taehyung was pulling him into his arms.

Yoongi had turned around when he heard the disturbance, but he was thoroughly surprised to see Jimin in another boy’s arms… somehow he didn’t seem disgusted by the proximity and Yoongi relaxed and simply waited.

That day Jimin had met Taehyung after a year and a half of not seeing each other, of not hearing of each other… it had been really emotional and Yoongi remained quiet and calm even though Taehyung’s voice was too demanding and Jimin simply smiled.

Still… he had sit still through Jimin’s lie. The lie about what had happened in the past year; Jimin lied and said he had been living with Yoongi all along and had decided to work in a bar, he said he had needed time to know what he really wanted and understand his life without his parents, had said he had needed to know he could live by himself without Taehyung’s help and Yoongi had nodded all along.

To his surprise, Taehyung had noticed the lie right from the start. To his surprise, Taehyung had let the lie slip by.

Yoongi felt Jimin slip through his fingers little by little as it turned out he knew Jin and Jin worked for Yoongi in another bar. It turned out Jimin had enough friends to care about him. Shortly after reuniting with Taehyung Jimin decided to dye his hair a bright shade of orange and Yoongi would lie if he said he hated it.

And so it came the moment that Yoongi had dreaded most.

“What are we doing here, hyeong?” Jimin wondered as he looked around the empty apartment; it was nice and close to campus.

“Since you’re starting college in a ten months I thought a closer place would work better.” He wondered, as he too looked around the place, perfect for a college student.

“Are we moving?” Jimin asked in confusion, Yoongi didn’t live that far from campus, it seemed like a rushed decision.

“No… I think it’d be best if you moved by yourself…” Yoongi said and watched as Jimin’s eyes filled with tears. Yoongi frowned not able to understand, but when Jimin’s lower lip started to tremble he realized he made a mistake. “What it is?” He asked and Jimin closed his eyes tightly, tears trailing down his cheeks.

“Why?” His voice was weak and it cracked under the tremor. “I thought…” He swallowed the words and approached the elder. “Why are you leaving me?” Jimin approached him and clasped his small hands in Yoongi’s jacket.

“I am not.” Yoongi said and then sighed; placing both his hands on the younger’s shoulders. “Jimin, you need to do this by yourself. We are not lovers… we don’t share that kind of bond…” Yoongi said honestly, staring straight into Jimin’s eyes. “You will still have me… forever. We will keep seeing each other every time you want to, but… I don’t do relationships.” He said because that was the truth.

Jimin let go of him and he saw the harsh feelings in his eyes; he was belittling himself and Yoongi only knew a way to stop him from doing that… he had no qualms with fucking Jimin in the empty apartment, against a hard wall and was relieved when Jimin agreed to living alone…

“There’s a spare room, anyway… you can come live with me when you want to, hyeong…” Jimin said with his cheek pressed to the wall, Yoongi panting behind him. “How much is the rent… you think I earn lots of money.” He said softly.

“No. It is yours.” Yoongi whispered against his shoulder and Jimin tensed. “Consider it payment for all those dances… everything you did… you deserve your own place, Jimin.” He said confidently and Jimin cried.

It was a long night and in which Yoongi spent his time making Jimin understand he was not wrong by accepting the apartment.

Yoongi never moved in.

Jungkook did.

Jimin groaned and stretched after placing his pencil down, the final arrangements to his song’s lyrics were finished and now he was satisfied with the results. He’d give them later to Namjoon so he could help him fix the music, but everything was done.

“Done? Can I read it now?” Jungkook came out of nowhere and Jimin rushed to hide the sheets inside his binder; the younger sitting on the couch right behind him, keeping the elder between his legs on the floor. “Hyeong! That is mean!” He complained and Jimin giggled softly.

“But you will hear it soon… in a month more or less.” Jimin said eyeing the calendar on the wall to make sure he was right.

Jungkook placed a hot cup of chocolate on the coffee table and Jimin smiled as he reached for it. Winter had been colder than usual, but it was fine because it was also sweet and so, so comfy too… Jungkook became cuddlier and Jimin simply loved that even though at first had been weird. He was not used to such contact, but with Jungkook it came out easily.

“Jongin can’t stop talking about your dance either; I feel like everyone else knows what you’re up to, but me!” He complained again and Jimin turned halfway, letting his back fall against Jungkook’s leg.

“Because he is helping me with it. I was thinking on dancing alone, but I feel like I am not ready so he said he’d help me along with Hoseok-hyeong.” Jimin explained and Jungkook sighed leaning back with a huff and a pout.

“Namjoon helps you with lyrics, Hoseok and Jongin with dances, Taehyung and Jin with your voice and I am left out like the most useless boyfriend of all times.” He said and Jimin giggled and placed the cup on the coffee table with a smile.

He turned again towards Jungkook and placed both hands on his thighs before pushing himself up to fall over Jungkook’s torso with his wide, bright smile… the one Jungkook had probably fallen for. It sometimes hypnotized him to stare at Jimin like that and it made him fall deeper.

“I promise you’re not useless at all, Jungkookie…” Jimin said and Jungkook rearranged them so that they were both lying on the couch, facing each other. “See? You keep me warm in the cold winter.” Jimin said softly as Jungkook pulled the comforter they kept at the back of the couch and dropped it over their bodies.

“In few words you only need me for my body.” He said and Jimin giggled, as he pressed closer to Jungkook’s chest. “That’s okay, I’ll take it.” He feigned hurt and Jimin craned his neck to look at his face, his eyes smiling and Jungkook remembered those times he had said he hated that eye-smile.

“Fuck.” He commented and Jimin frowned slightly. “I love you.” Jungkook said tightening his arms around Jimin’s body making him sigh.

“I know… I love you too.”

Jimin was nervous… December had gone too quick and suddenly it was the night of the concert; tomorrow was Christmas’ eve and then winter break. He shook his body a few times and started to stretch a bit when suddenly Jongin was by his side on his own movements.

“You need to chill, you’re first presenting with the choir so… calm down.” Jongin said and Jimin smiled and nodded, but he was still too nervous.

He was wearing a nice black suit for the choir’s presentation, but for his own performance he’d be wearing something else, he’d be barefooted and his clothes would be different. He pulled a bit on his collar.

“Hyeong!” Jungkook called as he entered the backstage followed by Taehyung, all of them were wearing the same black suit and Jimin had to admit Jungkook looked downright perfect in it with his hair styled back, his perfect eyebrows on display. “My family is here and my mom is nagging about you.” He said and Jimin nodded as he waved to Jongin in goodbye.

Taehyung smiled as they made their way out of the backstage and walked towards the entrance and sure enough he could easily distinguish Jungkook’s parents talking to Taehyung’s, they all looked really fancy, but he then noticed someone else…

“Oh, fuck…” Jungkook groaned as they walked closer, Jimin frowned. “My uncle.” He mumbled and then Jimin nodded, the man turned and Jimin was surprised by how much he looked like Jungkook.

“Kookie! What’s cooking?!” The man said loudly and his speech held so much accent that it had Jimin smiling. There was a pretty woman by his side.

“Hello, uncle.” He said and shook the man’s hand with a small smile. Jimin saw that Jungkook actually liked him; it was just something in his eyes. “Hello, Haneul-ssi.” He nodded towards the woman and she nodded back.

“Jimin-ah!” Jangmi greeted and Jimin took his time to greet Jungkook’s parents and then move swiftly to greet the Kims as well, then he was back next to Jungkook as the younger sighed heavily.

“Uncle this is Jimin… my boyfriend.” He introduced and Jimin blushed heavily, he was not used to the title yet, but he was relieved when the man nodded and extended a hand.

“I’ve heard so much about you! You’re like… so short!” The man said and that actually had Jungkook bursting out laughing. Jimin glared at his boyfriend and forced a smile as he greeted the woman. “This is my wife! Isn’t she gorgeous?” The man wondered and then laughed. “Of course not. You don’t like women.” He said and winked. “Aren’t I handsome then?” He said and that actually made Jimin giggle a bit.

“Oh, my god… Cut it out Jungmin.” Haneul said as if she was done with her husband, but Jimin actually liked the uncle.

“Anyway… you should all get to your seats. We will start soon. After the choir’s presentation is done I’ll come over, so keep my seat.” Jungkook said and his parents nodded. “Let’s go, hyeong.” He said and grabbed Jimin’s hand to walk to the backstage. “They are all losers.” Jungkook said and Jimin giggled at his despair.

“You look so much like your uncle, though.” Jimin commented and Jungkook glared down at him.

“Why are you even my boyfriend?”

The choir presentation was perfect. Only Christmas’s carols, but Jungkook had to admit that it was good, he had been worried about this because only a week ago he had been able to hear a few problems here and there, but it really got good.

He was right in front of Jimin, the elder was on the next step, standing taller than him and that mere fact had him smiling from time to time. He was even more aware of his voice that way and it really filled him. Jimin was just so talented and his voice was… it was amazing.

He was glad that he’d be having his own stage tonight even if he were performing with Taehyung, Hoseok and Jongin. Jimin deserved to be heard and seen like this, in his best disposition, doing what he loved the most and having people clapping for his talent and nothing else.

When the lights went out Jungkook grabbed Jimin’s hand and helped him into the backstage to get ready. Jimin was trembling and looking pale, but Jungkook couldn’t stop smiling and it made Jimin frown.

“I am really nervous and you are smiling at my misery!” He complained as Jungkook helped him out of his jacket and then his tie.

“You have to get ready to smash the stage, hyeong. You’ll be great.” Jungkook said and Jimin actually stopped his hands when he was about to unbutton his shirt.

“Yeah, yeah, but you need to go back with your family. This is also a surprise for you.” He said softly and Jungkook nodded seriously and then leaned over a bit, Jimin met him halfway standing on tiptoes to meet his lips with his in a simple peck.

“Good luck, hyeong.” He said after that and then jogged out of the changing room, he saw Taehyung and then noticed Hoseok and Jongin, both of them with black clothes, loose, their hairs messy and with heavy makeup.

“Is he ready?” Taehyung asked; he was going to keep his clothes; since he was not going to dance he’d be singing from the back with the orchestra.

“Not yet… please… I mean… if something happens…” Jungkook wasn’t sure what he was asking for, but Hoseok stopped him and clapped his shoulder a few times.

“Don’t worry. We’ve got him; just make sure to enjoy this. He’s worked really hard on this.” Hoseok said Jungkook nodded and then walked away and towards his seat. His whole family was in the same row with the Kims and Seokjin would be next to him, Namjoon next to his boyfriend, they smiled his way when he arrived and Namjoon winked as if he knew something Jungkook didn’t… but of course it was like that, Namjoon had helped Jimin with the writing process.

“Holy shit, I am nervous.” Jungkook muttered and Jin chuckled patting his knee and then the lights were out.

The orchestra started and the sound made Jungkook’s skin crawl, he felt cold and his mouth dried when the lights came on in a red hue and then they were out… Jungkook gasped as he saw Jimin was blindfolded, his shirt was white and too big for his body, his pants black and ripped, he was barefooted and looked simply careless in some mysterious way even if his movements were well practiced. Then suddenly he started singing, Taehyung singing in a lower voice in the background.

Tell me… with your sweet smile.
Tell me.
Like a whisper, say it in my ear
Don’t be like a prey,
be smooth like a, like a snake
Although I want to escape…

Get away from me, go away.
Go away please.
Whatever it takes, save me… me
Save me.

I keeps happening even though I run away…
I’ve fallen into a lie.

Jungkook could only stare and let his brain be filled not only with the visual of such a passionate dance, but also the lyrics… so meaningful… so right so perfect and when Jimin discarded the blindfold and let his face be hit by the changing light it felt like hope, like a renewal.

The orchestra drew a high and then it dropped and Jimin closed his eyes when he sung the next words, his voice strong and so, so powerful it could fill every single space in the auditorium.

Caught in a lie.
Please find the me that was innocent.
I can’t free myself from this lie
Give me back my laughter

Caught in a lie
Take me out of this hell,
I can’t free myself from this pain
Save the me who’s being punished.

A break and Jungkook noticed the tears falling down his cheeks; it was like everyone there was just a bystander and he was the one being addressed with this song… it must’ve been freeing for Jimin to sing it like this in front of so many people because he could see the tears on his cheeks as well.

He heard Jin sniffling next to him, but he couldn’t take his eyes off Jimin as they continued to dance… the orchestra was simply amazing for this occasion.

Want me.
The me who has lost the way.
Want me,
It was like that every day…

I feel so far away
You always come my way
It repeats again…

Jimin danced until it hurt… not only his body, but also his chest was feeling like it could expand for miles and it tired him, but he continued. He didn’t care much for precision, not as much as he cared for it to work out… He didn’t care for technique, but for passion and he knew it might not be his best performance, but he just needed to let it out.

His voice hadn’t cracked yet and he hoped it wouldn’t like it had happened during practice before, it was difficult to dance and sing at the same time, but he had insisted on it because he needed to be real and had the hardship even at this point.

The climax of his song was about to drop and he could only hope… pray that his voice would actually hold it.

I am still the same me I always was,
the me from before is still here, but
the lie that’s gotten too big
is trying to swallow me up.

Silence engulfed the auditorium for a long moment, but no one moved… Hoseok and Jongin fell to their knees and remained with their heads down while Jimin stood tall between them. His chest was heaving and suddenly he was staring at the crowd… the orchestra waiting for the cue… and then his voice sounded again… so soft and delicate and Jungkook sighed in relief as if he too had been waiting for it.

Caught in a lie…
Find them me that was innocent
I can’t free myself from this lie,
give me back my laughter.

Caught in a lie,
take me out of this hell.
I can’t free myself from this pain,
save the me who’s being punished.

Everything stopped and then the light slowly faded out leaving everything to black.

Jungkook was the first to stand and clap and then he pushed his way out of the seats really needing to see Jimin… he felt like his feet were carrying him somewhere, in his brain he only needed to see his face and when he burst through the backdoor he saw Jimin was already on his way out probably needing to see him as well.

Jimin literally crashed against him and Jungkook hugged him tightly feeling the tremors of Jimin’s cries shaking his own body, but he had to admit that had felt rather freeing, he could only hope it was the same for Jimin, but for now he’d let him cry.

“Park Jimin-ssi?” A voice called and Jungkook turned in time to see the choir’s director, their teacher. Jimin looked up from Jungkook’s chest, his eyes red and brimmed with tears.

“Ah, p-professor.” Jimin said pushing from Jungkook and giving a bow to their teacher, Jungkook did the same. The man smiled.

“That was marvelous.” He said and Jimin blinked several times. “It is not the same to sing an assignment than sing your heart out. That was… really touching and… raw.” The man said and then extended his hand out to Jimin.

“T-thank you, professor.” Jimin rushed to shake the offered hand and the man shook his head.

“No, thank you for letting me teach you. Have more confidence in your own talents from now on. That was simply outstanding and I really want to see more from now on.” He said and then patted Jungkook’s shoulder. “Kim Taehyung did great too, don’t you think?” He asked and Jungkook gave a small smile.

“Yeah… it sounded better.” Jungkook admitted.

“Did I hear our beloved professor praising my singing?” Taehyung suddenly asked coming out of nowhere and the professor tensed and then closed his eyes.

“You probably imagined it.” He said before walking away. Taehyung pouted, but soon forgot about it when he saw Jimin; he jumped on him and hugged him tightly.

“You’re amazing!” He squealed.

“That was amazing, Jimin…” Hoseok said and Jongin smiled at the lot.

“Where’s he?!” Someone yelled from the door and they all saw Jin walking in followed by Namjoon that was holding a bouquet of colorful flowers. Jin rushed and pulled Jimin into his embrace. “I am so proud of you! You did so well!” Jin said and Namjoon patted Jimin’s back.

“Jimin-ah!” They turned again towards the door and Jangmi rushed and pulled him next for a hug. Jimin couldn’t stop giggling as everyone took turns to hug him until someone yanked him over and he found himself pressed to Jungkook’s front.

“That’d be enough for one year, see you all next Christmas. You all need to learn about personal space.” He chastised and then he was being teased.

“Cheers!”

Everyone in the large table clinked their glassed and bottles together and then took a long gulp of the liquid. Jimin sighed and then moved to eat some of the food. They had come to a BBQ bar because Jin had suggested it and they all felt in the mood for it. Even Bambam and Jinyoung had come along even if they hadn’t been able to attend the performance.

It was a really nice time right now and Jimin felt full and satisfied, like he was full of love and care and everything nice, with Jungkook’s hand enveloping his on his lap, as if they couldn’t stand to be apart and he loved the feeling of confidence, the trust and the bond.

“So… I was keeping this to myself, but it seems it doesn’t matter anymore.” Hoseok suddenly said and every eye on the table turned to him. “I am opening my own dance studio next year!” He said with his own blinding smile and Taehyung smothered him in a hug, placing a long kiss on his cheek while everyone else congratulated him.

“That’s amazing, hyeong!” Jimin said letting go of Jungkook’s hand to clap in excitement, in return Jungkook moved his arm around his waist… it was not on purpose… just a reflex, something involuntary.

“Yeah! It won’t be easy at first while we get clients, but…” Hoseok stopped and turned to look Jimin in the eyes. “I was hoping you’d say yes to teaching with me.” He said and Jimin’s eyes widened in surprise.

“Are you being serious, hyeong?” He wondered aloud and Hoseok nodded eagerly, waiting for an answer. “Of course I want to!” Jimin said happily and he stood along with Hoseok and they hugged over Taehyung, crushing him between their bodies.

“Yah… don’t touch Hobi-hyeong so much…” Taehyung said as he pushed them apart and the others laughed at his disgusted sneer, but Jimin only giggled and slapped his arm as he turned back to his drink. “Do something about your man, Jungkookie… tell him to keep his hands to himself.” He complained feigning annoyance and Jungkook snorted.

“You were the one that said Jimin loved skinship… deal with it.” Jungkook said and sipped at his drink.

Jimin placed a tipsy kiss on Jungkook’s cheek and the rest of the night went on in the same happy stupor. They all talked loudly about funny anecdotes and they laughed at Seokjin’s jokes… it was very late when the owner of the place came and kindly asked them to leave.

Jimin waved with both arms flailing hard over his head and Taehyung waved drunkenly from his place over Hoseok’s back. They all went separate ways and Jungkook turned to look down at his drunk boyfriend; Jimin giggled up at him covering his face with his hands and Jungkook frowned.

“Yah… what are you doing?” He asked trying to pry the hands away from his blushed face; Jimin’s eyes were slits as he looked up at him.

“How can I be so lucky to have such an amazing Jungkookie?” He asked in a dreamy voice and Jungkook snorted loudly, but secretly he was amused.

“A Jungkookie? As if people could buy me at the store?” He joked and Jimin laughed hard, his body bending and Jungkook chuckled at him. “I am a limited edition, Jimin-hyeong.” He said and Jimin laughed some more.

“Ah… and he’s funny too…” Jimin said with endearment in his eyes when his laughter died down.

“Yeah… and I have a big dick, what more could you ask for?” He asked and Jimin snorted, but giggled nonetheless. “That was an indirect, hyeong. Can we go home already?” He asked and leaned down to lift Jimin over his shoulder before giving him a spank.

“Yah!” Jimin complained, but then he was in a fit of giggles as he reached down and pulled Jungkook’s shirt up and started to trace his fingers idly. “Put me down… people will see me!” Jimin said again as Jungkook started to walk.

“No one will… it is three in the morning and winter. Put my shirt down, hyeong I am freezing.” He said and Jimin did as told, his eyes then going to the younger’s butt, he bit his lower lip and smacked it once. Jungkook returned the gesture. “Control your urges, Park Jimin-ssi.” He said and Jimin giggled again. “Ah, really… I must’ve saved a country in my past life to deserve you in this one.”

“You think so?” Jimin blushed as he buried his face in his hands again.

“Yeah… a small one though… it’d explain why you’re so short, hyeong.”

“Yah! Jungkook-ah!”

“I am kidding, hyeong… I like you all small and cute.” He said and Jimin smiled. “Aish! I am so whipped it is almost embarrassing!” Jungkook complained loudly.

“I like you all whipped and embarrassed.”

“There’s one thing called subtleness.” Taehyung said, as he stood right next to Jungkook, both of them in front of a closed door, peeking through the small window on it into the studio.

“That’s not in my dictionary.” Jungkook said as his eyes moved with Jimin’s movements inside; his boyfriend was dancing rather passionately and the music was muffled, but he could hear the rushed beat and high notes that had Jimin pushing harder and faster, sweat dripping down his neck, making his white shirt almost see-through and stick to his body.

“No, I can tell…” Taehyung said as he too stared at his friend inside the room and he had to admit that it was impossible to simply look away.

Over the years Jimin had become more mature, his jaw got sharper and his cheeks diminished a bit, he became leaner even though he still got muscles everywhere. With his newly dyed silver hair, Jungkook had been simply whipped again… there was no way he could tear his eyes off him if he was in close vicinity.

They both shifted a bit when the music stopped and then Jimin moved to the computer on the desk. Jungkook cleared his throat and pushed Taehyung away.

“Go look for your own boyfriend.” Jungkook said and before Taehyung could argue about it, the younger slipped inside the studio. Jimin turned around with curious eyes until he saw it was Jungkook; a smile widened his lips.

“What are you doing here? I told you I’d see you at the restaurant.” Jimin said and when Jungkook leaned down he accepted the chaste kiss. “I am all sweaty and need a shower… it’s going to take some time before we leave.” He said softly and Jungkook sighed… he was so done.

“Yeah… don’t worry, hyeong. Take your time.” He said and tried not to scan Jimin’s body with his eyes, but failed.

“Okay… you can stay here or wait at the lobby.” Jimin said after a moment not really aware of Jungkook’s trip on his body.

Jimin grabbed his bag and moved towards the bathrooms and Jungkook decided to wait in the lobby because if he stayed in the studio he’d be simply awaiting his return and he wouldn’t be able to stop with no witnesses there.

“Jungkook-ah!” Hoseok called from the other side of the lobby and when Jungkook looked up he saw that Taehyung was already clinging to his hand. “I heard you’ve got a hot date tonight!” He said amusedly and Jungkook sighed.

“Yes, hopefully… this time I won’t be interrupted.” He said an glared at Taehyung, who last year had the great idea of taking a break with Hoseok on the same night Jungkook and Jimin were celebrating their third anniversary together and then he had had to hand Jimin over to the alien king so he could cry on his boyfriend’s shoulder all night.

“Ah… yeah… that’s a hard subject.” Hoseok scratched his cheek a bit awkward.

“Yeah… do you know what else was hard that night?” Jungkook asked back not caring that the receptionist looked quite amused by their bickering. “My dick… and really… I’ll hate both of you for the rest of my life.” Jungkook said and grabbed a magazine from the low table.

“Yah! I was sad!” Taehyung defended coming to stand in front of Jungkook with his arms crossed over his chest.

“I was sad too!” Jungkook said back. “And hard! All night long!” He added as he stood and glared down at Taehyung who only pouted and then turned around to go back to his boyfriend. “Really… if you guys are planning on breaking up tonight you better go look for Jin or Namjoon!” He said pointing a finger at Taehyung. “If you knock on our door tonight I’ll kill you.” He said in a harsh whisper and Hoseok nodded as he waved his hands.

“We get it, we get it… calm down.” He said and then grabbed Taehyung’s hand. “Nobody is breaking up tonight, relax. Have a good date, Jungkook-ah.” Hoseok said all condescending and Taehyung huffed as he walked away from the lobby.

“Fucking idiots.” Jungkook muttered under his breath.

He didn’t have to wait too long when Jimin came out to the lobby dressed all in black; and Jungkook swallowed thickly trying not to look too stupid with his mouth open and eyes wide.

“Ready?” Jimin wondered running a hand through his damp hair to fix him a bit and Jungkook stood and nodded as they made their way towards Jimin’s car, the latest acquisition.

“Let me drive, hyeong.” Jungkook said, a hint of a pout on his lips and Jimin hummed in thought. “I look good when I drive.” He added as they interlaced their fingers and walked down the road towards the parking lot.

“I look good when I drive too.” Jimin said and Jungkook nodded.

“Yeah, but you’re already looking good. A bit more and I will have to call the police on you and really. What am I supposed to say? ‘Hello officer, please take my boyfriend and lock him up, he looks too good for it to be legal.’” Jungkook said and Jimin giggled as they entered the lot and approached the small blue car.

“Why are you like this? Honestly…” Jimin said, but his giggles couldn’t be stopped and in the end he pulled out the keys and handed them to Jungkook.

“Whoa… for a moment I feared I’d have to look like a potato all night.” Jungkook joked as he opened Jimin’s door and the elder doubled over laughing before getting in. The younger rounded the car and slid inside and made a few poses making his boyfriend laugh even more.

“Oh my God! Stop!” Jimin snapped trying not to giggle anymore as he leaned over Jungkook to reach for his seatbelt, his cheek grazing the other’s chest.

“Hyeong it is way too early to be having sex in the car and this is a public parking lot… people are watching.” He said and Jimin punched his shoulder when he finished his task.

“Seriously… stop, Jungkook!” Jimin said as he pulled his own seatbelt and noticed that there were some people around giving them the eye. He blushed and tried to suppress a giggle when he locked gazes with Jungkook.

The younger was smiling… it was a nice smile, full of teeth, it wrinkled his eyes in the most endearing way, but it lacked mirth it was just… endearment in his eyes. Jimin heaved a long sigh… it was his favorite smile. The one that conveyed a message…

“Hyeong… I love you.”

It was almost midnight when Jungkook and Jimin walked out of the restaurant, full and happy, comfortable in their company and ready to go home… warm fuzz rolling through their veins.

“So… my mother wants us to go to Busan for my next break… Do you think you can spare me a week?” Jungkook asked interlacing his fingers with Jimin’s again as they walked down the sidewalk to reach the car.

“I will have to check with Hoseok-hyeong, but I guess we will be short on people by that time so… I think I can go.” Jimin nodded and heaved a long sigh.

There was always something so comfy and domestic about having simple chats with Jungkook while holding his hand that always made his heart soar. A feeling that was so very much his that had him smiling at nothing in particular.

“Good! I’ll let her know later… She said that if I was going to visit without you she’d rather wait until you could take a break.” He said and Jimin giggled. “Something about you helping me getting along with my father so…” Jungkook said while he texted his mother with his other hand.

“I think you guys are getting along better these days…” Jimin muttered and Jungkook snorted as he lifted his gaze to the front.

“That’s only because he finally accepted that I am not becoming a doctor.” He said and Jimin shrugged.

“That’s got to be something…”

Jungkook shook his head as he looked away to the other side of the street and frowned slightly. He stopped walking with Jimin still clasping his hand and the elder seemed confused.

“Jungkook-ah?” He wondered and when he saw he was fixated on something on the other side he turned as well. His eyes moving around until they fell on what he knew Jungkook was staring at.

“Isn’t that…”

“Yoongi-hyeong…” Jimin mumbled softly as he locked eyes with the man across the street; his hair was black now and he looked sharper, more mature in a way, his comfy clothes were a contrast to what he used to wear back then, but it was a nice change… he looked relaxed.

Jimin wasn’t sure what he should do… it was plenty obvious they had seen each other, but no one was making a move and he became nervous for reasons he really understood… Yoongi was not a stranger so…

“Should we… like… go?” Jungkook asked not taking his eyes off the elder male on the other side.

It had been too long since the last time he had seen him and after many sleepless hours in the night Jungkook had come to a striking truth… something he had known all along but had been too young and scared to admit.

They were here today because of him. Jimin was here because of him… they were together because of him and no one would change that. Yoongi had been rather confusing, but in the end the right choices were made and now they were all good… right? Was Yoongi okay?

“I am not sure…” Jimin said and then ever so tentatively he raised his free hand and waved a few times, softly… shyly.

Yoongi tensed and he lowered his gaze before lifting it again and then he waved back the same… softly… scared. Jimin’s lips broke into a smile and his eyes almost disappeared as he waved harder.

“Yoongi-hyeong!” He yelled over the noise of the cars and stores that were still open, people and whatnot.

Jungkook snorted when he saw the surprised look on Yoongi’s face and then as if prompted by his boyfriend he waved back just as enthusiastically, a bunny grin on his lips.

“Old man!” Jungkook yelled instead and Jimin giggled when Yoongi frowned and flipped a middle finger in their general direction.

“Yoongi-hyeong! I am happy! Are you?” Jimin yelled and Yoongi remained unmoving for a moment. Jimin felt nervousness prickle his skin as he waited for a much needed answer and then a woman came around Yoongi and interlaced her fingers with his… it was Jiyoon.

“Holy shit, I thought she was kidding back then.” Jungkook muttered and Jimin sighed in relief.

Yoongi stared down at his joined hand and then looked back up at Jimin and smiled while showing him the hands and nodded.

“That’s good then…” Jimin said softly, knowing he wouldn’t be heard. But it was okay… after a long look Yoongi and Jiyoon walked away and got lost in the middle of the night. “That’s good.” Jimin added and his trance was broken when Jungkook pulled his chin and kissed his lips; Jimin blinked several times and when the younger pulled away he frowned a bit. “What was that for?” Jimin asked in a small voice.

“I felt like it.” Jungkook shrugged and then pulled Jimin towards the car; silence enveloped them as they got inside, and Jimin heaved a long sigh of relief.

“It is good that they are still dating.” Jimin said and Jungkook turned to look at him with something akin to worry. “It means that they are stable and I was worried Yoongi-hyeong would… you know… get lost.” He said as he pulled his seatbelt on and sighed once again, this time with a smile.

“Yeah… good.” Jungkook said and started the car; Jimin noticed the lack of emotion in his words and stopped him from starting the car. “What?” Jungkook wondered looking over at his boyfriend.

“Aren’t you happy for him?” Jimin asked and Jungkook frowned and looked ahead as he tried to think about it.

“Yeah… I mean… Of course. I am just… I feel I owe him more than I’d like to admit.” He sighed and Jimin smiled finally understanding. He unhooked his seatbelt and Jungkook watched as his boyfriend moved to straddle him in the small cabin of the car. “Hyeong… are you serious?” Jungkook panicked as he tried to check for anyone around that could see them.

“What? It is not that early anymore…” Jimin said in the same soft and whispery tone that had Jungkook submitting to any kind of desire Jimin had in store for him. “With the lights out I don’t think anyone is going to be able to see inside…” He said and shifted closer to Jungkook finally their crotches touching.

“Fuck…” Jungkook muttered, his hands coming immediately to Jimin’s hipbones and stopping him, but the elder just continued to move lazily over him. “As horny as I am I really want to fuck in our bed, hyeong… The last time we did this I had to hear you complaining for a week about the bump on your head.” He said through gritted teeth.

“I’ll be careful this time.” Jimin said and leaned down to kiss his jaw, somehow his shin made the manual brake fall down and Jungkook vaguely felt the car moving backwards.

“Hyeong?” He wondered and when he opened his eyes to stare over Jimin’s shoulder he realized that it really had moved. “Shit!” He leaned over so fast that Jimin’s tailbone bumped on the wheel, but he managed to stop the car. “Hyeong! No more car sex for you! You’ll get us killed one day!” He said angrily, but then he realized Jimin was curled in pain.

“Ah! My back… Oh my God! I swear I broke something!” He whined his face contorting in pain and Jungkook sighed as he opened his door and helped the other out to check him.

“Can you feel your legs?” He asked and Jimin gasped and moved his legs a bit. “Good, nothing’s broken. Don’t worry…” He said as he helped him stand and Jimin leaned onto him almost crying.

“It hurts!” He said and Jungkook nodded running his fingers through his boyfriend’s hair.

“At least this time it won’t be about your head again…” Jimin glared and punched his chest.

“Why are you even my boyfriend?”

“I love you, hyeong.”
