Chapter Text
It was that usual time after finished some classes in college. Some students were hanging around the corridor of the building where they would spend their years struggling with assignment and more assignments. Seokjin had finished the language class and now was standing with his back glued to the wall and facing the other people who enjoying their chit chat time with each other. Jin hoped he could feel it too. Bad for him because he was have no one around and Hoseok was taking too much time in the toilet. He wasn’t back since half an hour already. He could be murdered or kidnapped or whatever things might happen and Jin was too bored to find him or even moved the toes inside his shoes.
Then, there was the change of the atmosphere when Jin decided to look at his left side and caught the sight of black haired man walked along with Namjoon, his roommate. Of course that was the handsome Min Yoongi. The two of those men always have a good time to talk. They were looked close and cool even when they were talking like that.
The two of them looked to be in a real deep conversation before Yoongi very soon stopped and looked to Jin. Everything was happened too sudden and Jin forgot to pretend to not looking back. He had no choice left so Jin held his gaze and Yoongi seemed like taken aback before turned around to fully face Namjoon who kept talking more. If one questioned Jin, he might think Namjoon was such a cool person to be able to hold a long conversation with Yoongi, when no one ever could, like Jin ever wanted to try it. He stopped before he ruined it with his bad bluff. Of course Yoongi would not want to talk to him again later.
But no one knew it if Jin actually was dying to talk to him unless about project or a class Yoongi missed before. When Yoongi came to talk first to him, it would be because he was in need of help. Not like Jin was care about that, anything, at least that guy talked to him. It was simply the look on his eyes and the way his lips forming words, or even the gummy smile he offered sometimes when he didn’t realize it. Hell, even they had been talking Jin didn’t want it to be like, just like… that.
Jin wanted it to be like a long conversation Yoongi had until early morning when he was doing sleepover in the flat Jin shared with Namjoon. They were talking about every little details of life and dreams and they were exactly stopped talking when the door of Jin’s bedroom cracked open, like Jin was that kind of kid who didn’t deserve to hear it. Jin never wanted to be anybody, but he would kill to be Namjoon, sometimes, when it came to talk to Yoongi.
What Jin didn’t know was all their conversation these whole times was about him. And he had no idea if Namjoon exactly wished to swap a life with anybody because damn, he didn’t understand love and hell, how could he know how Jin’s sleep was last night.
“Are you sure Jin hyung was fine? Look, he is there, on 4 a.m. position of you, and he is alone. Where is the funny guy!” Yoongi cursed under his breath and tried to hold down his frown and gaze because Jin kept looking at his direction and he didn’t want to look like he was care about him.
“Hyung, Jin hyung is alright. He had breakfast and good sleep… and who the hell is funny guy do you mean?” Namjoon was nearly screamed. He was far crossing his limit of calmness. These kinds of topics actually could kill him anytime, anywhere, and it might be right now he was fainted.
Accidently the two of them were looking at Jin and that made Jin looked surprised and worried there, for they looked at him more than a minute full like they were planning something cruel at him. Namjoon took a fast action and waved at him. Yoongi on his side was frowned.
“Sorry hyung,” Namjoon scratched the back of his head as the glare continued forming a hole to his soul, “anyway hyung, sorry but… why do you want to know Jin hyung like that?”
Soon the change of color on Yoongi’s face was appeared as he lowered his head like he tried to figure something written on his shoes. The tense on his shoulders reminded Namjoon something. His mouth formed an O before said under his breath, “no way, you love hyung, don’t you?”
Yoongi snapped his head up and trying to give out glare but they looked too much surprised and scared than angry.
“What… I didn’t say… I mean, it doesn’t mean love,” Yoongi was silent himself to stop him from saying more stupid things and Namjoon was wrong too, Yoongi was just curious, at his hyung with that red lips, his favorite.
But seeing them talking like that, made Jin irritated than waiting for Hoseok coming back. He started to curse inside his head, stomping the front of his shoes, too busy until he forgot that Namjoon and Yoongi were stopping next to him.
Jin jumped a little when Namjoon cleared his throat, “hyung, you okay? Where’s Hoseok hyung?”
Looked startled but Jin still tried to answer, “bathroom, not yet, coming, back.”
“I see.” Namjoon nodded. Yoongi was standing a little behind him, checking something on his phone and looked busy. Jin used this moment to take a deep breath and try to look good.
The longer time came and Jin started to worry about Hoseok. Namjoon could sense it and he excused himself to find him. They both were standing there and Yoongi was still there busy with his phone.
“I think we should try this, rice cake and they combine— oh, hyung… w-where is Namjoon?” Yoongi sudden moved was surprising the two of them.
“Just checking where Hoseok is. He won’t be long.” Jin looked far on the door where Namjoon walked before and back to him, “sorry.”
“No… I’m sorry.” Yoongi gave out his throaty laugh, even it sounded awkward.
“What was that?”
“What?” Yoongi looked up again.
“The one you said before, rice cake and stuff.”
“Oh, it’s a,” Yoongi licked his lips and scrolled down on his phone, “new restaurant, a cake shop exactly. Not too far from you guys’ dorm.”
“We should check it up then,”
“We… yeah, great, great really…” Yoongi mumbled his answer. It made Jin raised his brows and turned a side to face him.
“You sure about that?”
“Of course hyung, I know you have this food channel on YouTube, probably good to put one video there.”
Damn, Yoongi.
Yoongi freeze as he watched Jin’s eyes gleamed and he smiled wide at him.
“Oh, you knew it?” Jin felt the hot on his cheeks were rising.
“I— yeah, a lot of students here checking it up.” Yoongi nodded at him.
“That’s a good idea, only if you want to be my guest for the video.”
Yoongi stopped a moment, like a word was pulled from his tongue and both of them were looking at each other, then Yoongi said,
“Really? I mean, yeah sure, anything you want, hyung.” The last words were out as soft as the feeling that burst out from his chest.
Jin nodded and if it wasn’t the best pick up line he ever made, and it’s worked.
