Alex listened carefully to Kara’s song and watched as the agents final managed to surround her sister and Lena. She smiled up at J’onn at her victory. She was in shock when Kara grabbed Lena’s hand before passing out. J’onn lowered the both of them down, and he immediately picked up Kara, knowing no one else could carry her, Alex helped carry the CEO, what really surprised her is that they both clutched each other’s hands as if they let go, they would die. They decided to be kind and put the two in the same cell, leaving them holding each other. Even though it seemed like Kara was changing. They still need to take precautions and put kryptonite in the cell, making sure all of the pieces were secure.
Lena was the first to wake. Cracking her eyes open, she was surprised to see a passed out kryptonian next to her, clutching her hand, She ran her thumb over the kryptonian’s knuckles the drug flowing through her veins or not, she couldn’t help but look at the blonde softly. She saw the little hole where the dart went through her outfit. She looked towards the corner that often housed the camera, and she gave it a warm smile, knowing someone was watching.
Alex watched as Lena woke up and looked at Kara with a smile, and then was surprised when Lena looked at the Camera, it wasn’t the wicked one she had seen earlier.
Kara woke up with a loud gasp. She felt something on her hand and she turned her head to see Lena. She still felt sick. “Kryptonite?” her voice was rough from being unconscious.
Lena looked at her with a sparkle that had been taken away when she was under the influence of Nexus.
“I see that Nexus does wear off.”
Kara turned her head, noticing that Alex was approaching their cell. She nodded her head in recognition.
“Hello, you two took quite the long nap. Lena, I see you are back with us.” Alex smiled at them.
Lena shot Alex a friendly glare. “I never left, that stuff just drew out the darkest parts of me.”
Kara Spoke up. “You are quite the good shot with a dart gun. Interesting plan, though. I am surprised you took the risk of hitting Lena” Kara Was a bit upset about that. She started feeling drowsy, much like earlier. The last thing she heard was Both Lena and Alex calling her name in panic.
Alex watched as her recovering sister passed out. “Kara!”
Lena looked at her with a startling amount of what could be called a mix of disdain and determination. “Alex. You need to fix her. Clearly not all of the red kryptonite is gone! You need to reverse engineer it!” Lena basically shouted, still gripping Kara’s hand.
Alex just about face palmed. “of course! Lena, you are a genius!” She bolted upstairs to start her work. It took her a surprisingly short amount of time to finish the reverse engineered version of this apparently stable red kryptonite but apparently it had a time limit and weaknesses.
Kara startled awake again. She saw Lena who was clearly upset. “hey, it’s ok” she said as she hugged the brunette and rubbed soothing circles on her back.
“You seriously need to stop passing out.” Lena said as she let out a stressed laugh.
Kara stood up, finally releasing Lena’s hand. And she walked towards the glass, inspecting the outside.
“we aren’t breaking out again are we?” Lena asked cautiously
Kara laughed. “Not today. Why? Do you want to?”
Lena joined Kara at the glass wall. “no, I’m fine in my cozy room with you.”
Kara linked their pinkies. “It is pretty cozy when you don’t feel like becoming a god.”
“That was the endgame?” Lena asked.
Kara shrugged. “all I know is that I wanted people to submit to me and only me.”
“That’s a bit intense.” Lena commented.
“Yeah, it was quite the plan.” Kara added.
Kara smiled as Alex walked up with a blue crystal.
“That will fix her all the way?” Lena pointed at the Crystal.
“Yes, or possibly make it worse or maybe even kill her.”
Lena pushed Kara behind her. “there is no way in hell or Hogwarts that you are using that.”
“that’s a new one” Kara said between giggles.
Kara walked around her. “Let’s do this.”
Of course, she will do it. She’s Kara.Lena thought.
Alex cautiously opened the cell. Kara started to teeter on her feet, her eyelids drooping.
Kara opened her mouth after slowly turning to face Lena and started whispering.
We could live forever, and suffer
Or die as one, together as lovers
Love will be cruel to who it entices
Love will have it-
“Shit” Lena said, knowing how when Kara sang she meant something by it.
Kara passed out as she said the last words.
“You didn’t kill her, did you?!” She yelled at Alex.
Alex checked her pulse “She’s fine. She sang the last part of that song before she passed out last time.”
Lena glared at the eldest Danvers “That’s what you are thinking about right now? What she sang?”
Alex held up her hands. “no. no. no. no. Well, I mean yes, I just think the red kryptonite started wearing off before I showed up.”
“I noticed her changing as well, I’m not quite sure when exactly.” Lena couldn’t help being a little bit curious as well.
Alex pointed at Lena “You.”
The CEO was a bit startled. “What? What did I do?”
“You made the weakness in the kryptonite.”
“Sacrifices!” Kara bolted upright with a large gasp of air.
Lena inspected Kara. “So you’ve said.”
Alex looked at the two. “Damn straight it will.”
Lena looked over in confusion. “The red kryptonite stopped when Kara started to protect you rather than herself.” Alex paused, readjusting her latex glove. “So, essentially, Kara was singing about this Kryptonite’s weakness.”
