Chapter Text
Katsuki awoke as the sun filtered through sheer white curtains, illuminating the room in a soft golden glow.
He peered down to the woman wrapped peacefully in his arms, the scar a constant reminder of what they had been through. She was lucky to make it out with her sight almost fully intact, but the long, jagged scar that stretched from her eyebrow to her cheekbone would never fade.
Not that he minded of course.
He thought it made her look even more badass.
“’Tsuki why are you up.” The gravity user grumbled, burying herself deeper into his chest.
It was hard to believe it had already been three years since then…
“Everyone’s coming over at noon, remember? And I don’t think we want you doing the cooking.” He laughed as she pinched his side, giving him one final squeeze before rolling off of him.
“Why are we doing the party here again? It’s not our kids’ birthday.” She grumbled into the pillow, brunette strands sticking every which way.
“Yeah I fucking know, why didn’t we do joint birthday’s? Emi’s birthday’s in a month anyways.” He stood, pulling on sweats as his wife grumbled out her response.
“’Cause Mina said something about Emi’s first birthday being ‘special’ and she should have the day to herself. If you ask me, I think she wants the twins to have the spotlight.”
Katsuki laughed, walking over to place a kiss on Ochako’s forehead before heading over to the nursery. Hard to believe it’s almost been a year since that little blessing (read: little shit) had come barreling into their lives.
Katsuki had proposed to Ochako not even a year after the events with the Daten-Shi and the two were more than surprised when they learned that she was pregnant shortly after the wedding a year later.
He peeked his head into the room, careful not to wake their rowdy child. Poor thing had been stuck with his unruly blonde mop, but he was happy to report she was almost one hundred percent Ochako.
Well, besides her energy. She was a demon child, and that was all Katsuki.
His mother had said it was ‘payback’ for how he acted as a child.
He silently shut the door before padding down the hall to begin preparations for the day.
Katsuki loved their home.
Sure it had taken time to find the right one.
The one that matched.
But they had.
And he loved the kitchen most of all.
Katsuki put on a pot of coffee before walking over to the large glass wall. He unlocked the hinges and pushed each accordion door fully open, relishing in the salty breeze accompanied by the sounds of waves hitting the shoreline.
Ochako joined him soon after he had begun breakfast, placing a half-awake Emi into her highchair before grabbing a cup of coffee.
“I’ll get started on decorations.” She announced, giving him a peck on the cheek and stealing a piece of bacon before skipping into the living room.
As the party wound down, their guests began filing out.
The Kaminari’s had just left, and all that remained were Ei and Mina, and Shouto and Izuku.
The adults were gathered around the fire pit in the back, all content on watching their children play in the sand.
“Awww Katsuki look! Emi and Haru are so cute!” Ochako cooed from her position on his lap. He wrapped his arm around her waist, bringing her in tighter.
“Yeah man, you might wanna look out for that one. Baby-Roki is gonna be a lady killer and he’s already got his eyes set on Emi.” Ei laughed, taking another swig of his beer.
“Oi! Emi’s way too good for Icy Hot and Deku’s kid!” He rolled his eyes, moving to focus on the two one-year-olds playing together in the sand while the Kirishima twins were running circles around them.
He would never admit it out loud, but the kid was kind of cute.
“I think they’d be cute together Kacchan.” Izuku gave him a sly smirk as he sipped from his beer. “Besides, that way we could keep the agency in the family. It’d make the future easier for sure.”
The group shared a laugh, although he was nowhere near ready to think about his little girl dating for gods sakes, Izuku had a point.
“Whatever fucker, I’m gonna get another beer, anyone want one?” The group called for another round, Katsuki eying Mina as she declined once again. “Oi Pinky, you pregnant again or some shit? It’s not like you to turn down alcohol.”
The girl in question blushed, cheeks taking on a deep red hue.
“Oh my gods! Mina! Are you?” Chaks bolted up, sprinting over to smother the girl.
“Well, I was gonna tell you guys soon, we just found out a few days ago, but yeah! We’re adding baby number three to the Kirishima tribe!” She stood, using a metal arm to proudly display her currently flat stomach.
“Good fuckin’ luck.” Katsuki called, resuming his original task of grabbing another round.
As he settled back into his chair, Ochako resuming her place on his lap, Katsuki had never felt happier.
Katsuki had a family and friends he would never stop fighting for, had recently beat out Shouto for number two, and was co-owner of the number one agency in Tokyo.
The events from three years ago still haunted them all, but it had only brought them closer together in the end.
As the sun began to set over the horizon, Katsuki pressed a kiss into Ochako’s shoulder.
Their dream had turned out better than he could have ever imagined.
