“Okay, okay so-” Kyoujuro tries to contain his laughter, the letter in his hand wrinkling for his grip on it. “Let me read this again-”
“Nooooo…” Giyuu says in a pathetic whisper, covering his face with both hands.
They’re sitting down at the water estate, letters scattered around them. It’s already been six months after Kyoujuro and Giyuu started dating, so Giyuu thought, like a fool, that he should let his boyfriend read his letters. It would be nice to share my deep intimate thoughts with someone, he thought, it can’t be that bad.
Well, the embarrassment he is feeling right now is pretty, pretty bad.
Kyoujuro adjusts his glasses. “ Shinazugawa, you eyebrowless dumb fuck- ” He snorts. “ you’re so annoying, stupid, and damn ugly- “A wheeze.” Have you ever seen your own reflection? If I’m a sore sight then you’re the ugliest view someone had the disgrace to look at.”
Giyuu grumbles. He lays down on the floor, putting his head on top of Kyoujuro’s lap.
“ I hope you choke on your food. Sincerely, Tomioka Giyuu.” He chuckles one more time, he pats Giyuu’s hair softly before taking off his glasses. “You were really mad that day, huh?”
Giyuu grumbles again.
“You really think Shinazugawa is ugly?” There is a genuine curiosity in his voice. Giyuu parts his fingers away to look at Kyoujuro.
"That's what you're asking after reading that?"
"Yup!"
Giyuu thinks about his answer for a moment. "... I don't think he's that ugly."
"So you think he's at least a little ugly!" He laughs.
Giyuu goes back to cover his face.
"Okay, let's move on to the next one! If that's okay with you, of course."
Giyuu grumbles, Kyoujuro takes it as a sign to move on. He grabs another letter randomly and starts reading it out loud. " To my beloved, Rengoku Kyo- ah!"
Kyoujuro goes crashing down on the floor with Giyuu on top of him trying to snatch the letter from his hands.
"Okay, enough reading-"
"Wait noooo." He stops Giyuu by putting his hands on his boyfriend's face. "It has my name on it! Can I read it, please?
He looks at Kyoujuro's pleading eyes, it was a low trick, his boyfriend knew he couldn't say no to that face. Giyuu sighs, he pretty much lost most of his dignity at this point so a little more won't hurt.
"I'll read it for you." He mutters, but thanks to their distance Kyoujuro manages to listen.
He hands the letter back to Giyuu, none of them actually making an effort to move to a better position. Actually, Giyuu positions himself more comfortably on his boyfriend's chest. It's another love confession, the first one Giyuu ever wrote, it pretty much said the same thing the one Kyoujuro read six months ago (yes there's also the mention of his butt at some point).
When he's done reading, he puts the letter down. He gets caught off guard when Kyoujuro gently cups Giyuu's face with one hand, but he doesn't move away.
"Have I ever told you how sweet you are?" His voice came out soft, almost dreamy. Giyuu feels like melting.
"Sweet is not a word a lot of people would use to describe me," He mutters, not able to look directly at the other due to embarrassment.
"Well, they're missing out then! You're really sweet!" Kyoujuro says with a sincere smile, it makes Giyuu smile too.
"Thanks." Is the only thing he says before changing his position to give Kyoujuro a little peck on his lips.
"No prob," His smiles widens. "Hey, I got a question."
"What is it?"
"Do you really like my butt that much?"
Giyuu's face turns deep red immediately, he's ready to escape when Kyoujuro wraps his arms around him.
"Nooooo, don't gooooo," He pleads. "I'm sorryyyyy."
Giyuu grumbles, finally accepting his fate and hugging Kyoujuro as well.
After a couple of minutes of silence, the flame pillar hears his boyfriend mutter something.
"Can you repeat that?"
Giyuu glares at him.
"I swear I didn't hear it the first time!"
He sighs and gets close to Kyoujuro's face. "I said yes. "
"Yes what? "
"Kyoujuro-"
"I sincerely don't know what you're talking about!" He says, like a little shit.
Giyuu huffs. " Yes, I pretty much like your butt , happy?"
"Pretty happy!" He says before he starts smooching Giyuu's face.
Maybe making him read the letters wasn't such a bad idea , he thinks as he kisses Kyoujuro back.
