Chapter Text
Hange and Mike decided to check on the following afternoon. By then, all of the windows in the officer’s housing were open and Erwin was confined to Levi’s bed. Only Hange and Mike were allowed to enter Levi’s room as they still had the smell of their mates on their skin.
While Erwin sat in bed surrounded by not only Levi’s blankets but also what appeared to be smuggled blankets from storage. The alpha fussed around the room while the other two gave their report.
“After asking around the new recruits, we found out who’s father sent the mercenaries after you,” said Hange, taking lead, as prime alpha’s tended to do. Hange sat in a chair near the open window while Mike sat in the windowsill.
“Oh?” Erwin asked from his little makeshift nest. The blonde omega sipped the tea poured for him only moments before by his alpha.
“Another trainee with fake papers,” said Hange. “Her father is a merchant trying to increase his station by marrying off his omega daughter to a nobleman.”
“Typical,” said Erwin.
“What’s not so typical is that this particular merchant has lost 3 omega mates before due to mysterious circumstances.”
“I see,” Erwin said. “So she would rather die fighting for humanity. We can’t have our recruits scared to think that we will turn them over just because of something as silly as marriage contracts.” he set down his tea. “I’ll settle this once I’ve recovered.”
Mike snorted. “Recovered.”
