Chapter Text
“Is this why you did it then?” Dabi finally asks the question he’s been pondering since they first arrived.
“Hm?”
“You wanted to be able to propose on Christmas right?” Dabi already knows but asks anyway.
“What?!” Shiggy’s red eyes quickly turn glare at the hero. “You didn’t…”
Hawks averts his gaze and whistles his confession. Unfortunately for him, his mates understand. “You mean to tell me, the reason you publicly announced you were romantically involved with us,” he pinches his nose, “you started riots and literally changed the entire structure of hero society! Just because you wanted to propose on Christmas?!”
“Are you mad?” His golden gaze is earnest as he searches Shiggy’s face, his voice uncertain.
“Well… it is pretty romantic when you say it out loud,” Shiggy mumbles, blushing and fidgeting with his spinner.
Dabi grins widely. “So cute,” he presses a few kisses to Shiggy’s temple and inspects his neck while he’s there, gently tilting his chin this way and that. “It’s looking better, that’s good.”
“Touya~” Keigo purrs suggestively. “Can we we go to the LOV tonight?”
Dabi raises a brow. “Why?”
“Toga said she did laundry recently and I love you but you guys need a change of clothes,” Hawks tells them, waving his phone. “Plus it’ll be fun to tell everyone!”
“That's the real reason isn’t it?” Dabi doesn’t miss a beat but his grumbles are ignored as Hawks darts away, presumably already letting her know they’re on their way. He sighs. “Sure, Shiggy that fine with you?”
Shiggy looks exhausted. “That’s fine but can we go soon? I’m tired of the crowds.” Dabi chuckles, scooping him up and following Hawks through the clusters of screaming fans.
“Maybe we can play some games when we get back,” Dabi keeps talking, ignoring the crowd and distracting Shiggy. “I’m sure Toga will have more products she’ll want to try with you too.” The pale leader merely nods and nuzzles into the warm chest, over the social scene. Dabi yanks his black hoodie up, barring the crowds from gawking too much.
Meanwhile Hawks answers questions and basically continues to add fuel to the fire, egging his fans on. “Heyo~ hm? Yup, got engaged today! Of course we’ve have a wedding! Who popped the question? It’s a secret!~” He’s saying. “Thanks for your support! I’ll be back on duty after the holidays!”
It’s news to his boyfriends. Dabi sighs and decides to reprimand him later. Probably during sex. And with that lovely announcement, they grab hold of the too-chatty hero and take off. The cool night is fraught with snow and they huddle closer to each other, shivering.
Doesn’t he just fly everywhere year round? He gets cold so easily, even during the early fall months, shivering in his sleep. Yet another thing the commission must have forced on him. Dabi shakes his head to clear it and lifts his hand, leaving only one arm wrapped around the broad shoulders.
“Dabi!” Hawks protests, tightening his grip around his crazy mate who apparently harbors a death wish.
“It’s okay,” Dabi assures him, lighting up the sky with a brilliant tendril of flame. It follows them in a blue streak just under them; Hawks is going fast enough that the wind pushes them completely horizontal in the air pressed flat against him so there’s no chance the flame will burn them.
Even though the fire is a few feet under them, it emits a searing heat, pushing back the sharp chill of the night air. Snow melts into rain around them.
Hawks giggles, a gleam in his eye. “We’re a dragon.”
“Pff…” Shiggy bursts into cackles at the ridiculous observation. Hawks waggles his brows at the fire-user and Shiggy’s body quakes with silent laughter. Dabi huffs.

When they arrive back at the LOV, they nearly crash into none other than Izuku Midoriya. He jumps when he sees them before shaking his head and laughing. “Where have you been? You’ve been gone for days and then the news! Oh man!”
They just blink at him, shocked and confused until Dabi steps forward. “Toga. You’re confusing them. Why are you that broccoli kid from UA?”
Toga-Midoriya grins hugely. “I had the most Christmas with the love of my life! Dressed as the love of my life!” She twirls, sighing happily.
“You spent Christmas with Midoriya… as Midoriya?” Hawks is confused.
“No with Uraraka-the-love-of-my-life! Dressed as Izuku-the-love-of-my-life!” she clarifies with a huff.
Aww, she’s poly too. Little creepy, but sweet. Hawks smiles at her, affectionately patting her head. “Aw, I wish you the best.”
She beams. “You guys inspired me. If you can be a hero and date a villain then… I’ll just work even harder knowing that it can happen!”
Ah… so we’re gonna be responsible for the therapist bill later on then too…. Hawks smiles nervously before Dabi guides her inside. “Let’s go before anyone notices. Apparently we have more news.”

It doesn’t take long before the entire LOV is present and seated in the common area. Shiggy leans against a barstool, half sitting-half standing. “The hero commission is gone. Hawks has proved instrumental and now we’ve achieved much of what we set out to do. Though of course, that’s also the reason no one is even sure if we’re villains anymore,” he crosses his arms and sighs. “I assume most of you have been following the news so you’re already aware of everything going on. If Dabi and I are granted pardons, we’ll work with the police.”
Murmurs and gasps follow his words as the league processes his words. After allowing a short pause, Shigaraki continues. “This is to protect the remaining members of the league either through a pardon or negotiation for our assistance and intel. And this is to help reshape the world and what hero society will be in the future. Now this may be an adjustment for some. If you wish to leave, you can. If you choose to stay, you can’t continue criminal activity - if you aren’t sure or have a valid reason, you can discuss it with me. I’ll expect your answers by the end of the day tomorrow at the latest.”
Hawks goes up the young leader in the middle of the semicircle and whispers something in his ear. Shiggy nods. “And Hawks has an announcement he’d like to make.”
“We’re officially engaged!” He grins, finally blurting the news and showing off their rings. “And you’re all invited to the wedding!”
The league gasps and there’s a wide range of reactions; Toga gasps and cheers anxiety, ready to discuss wedding details; Spinner rubs his neck, already knowing his decision will inevitably be to follow Shigaraki; Kurogiri moves to craft celebratory cocktails for everyone; Twice shouts his answer (both siding with and against them); Mr. Compress snags Hawks, inquiring to take him through the entire ordeal step by step with the hopes of marveling at how such an impressive trick was so effectively accomplished.

After a cheery night of partying with the league (which really just meant video games, drinks, and general hanging out), Shiggy hums, a spring in his step as the promise of bedtime and cuddles draws nearer. He changes into his new matching pajamas and brushes his teeth, slathering on the latest skincare treatment Toga had shoved into his hands.
When he clambers into his bed, happily swaddling himself the soft blankets, he nearly squashes the overgrown pigeon who’s already burrowed in his bedding.
“Oops,” Shiggy chuckles, moving off the crumpled wing. “Are you okay?”
Hawks grumbles pouty warbles at him even as he climbs into Shiggy’s lap and cuddles against him. “Aw, I love you too, pretty bird,” he coos and is rewarded with kisses and lovely trills.
“There you are,” Dabi closes the door behind him. “I wondered why my bed was empty.”
Keigo chirps loudly, crying for his mate.
“You needy thing,” Dabi tsks gently, smiling down at him. “Miss me already?”
Shameless bitter nods are the replies from both men. “You’re corrupting Shiggy now?” A giggly explosion answers before two pairs of arms reach up and tackle the fire-user, tugging him into the cuddle pile.
“Yes, never leave me again,” Shiggy whines dramatically before giggling with Hawks.
“Brats,” Dabi counters, covering them with his lips anyway. “Scoot over already, quit hogging the bed.”
Right when Dabi gets Shiggy settled against him, just as he glances around for Hawks, gold orbs peek up at him. “Touya?” the tone is shy and quiet, like a small child.
“What is it, Lovebird?”
“Could you help me with my wings? They got tangled earlier…”
“I kind of sat on one,” Shiggy admits, grimacing.
“Sure, come here, baby,” the ever-patient, perfect Dabi replies. He sits up and gently settles the hero in-between his legs, adjusting so that the massive wings can fully stretch without smacking into the wall. Shiggy lies back, combing through the messy feathers on the wing Dabi doesn’t have. They shiver against his touch, quite responsive. It’s so soothing. Shiggy kisses the wing, feeling particularly affectionate and knowing Hawks can feel it. A feather flies loose and brushes against his cheek.
“I love you,” Hawks dips his head until he can see Dabi’s striking face. He chirps happily as Dabi lazily strokes and straightens his feathers.
“I love you too,” Dabi tells him, pressing a kiss to his forehead and nuzzling into the blonde waves. “I’m gonna keep you forever.”
“Me too,” Shiggy agrees. “I want to keep both Touya and Keigo forever.”
And so the night is filled with sweet words, a new chaotic world, and a promise shaped in three identical silver bands.
