Summary
Book II of When the Rad Storms Hit, Keep Dansing. Peacetime does not mean troubles are over. There are some who detest Z, the Sole Survivor, for her relationship with a synth and some who can never forgive her for the destruction of the Institute underground complex. Her worst enemy, Zimmer, escaped and is rebuilding his espionage network. He knows knowledge is power. He is determined to find Z's weaknesses. Some of Z's upcoming battles are not to be fought with sword or gun, but with wits and with the pen and politics. But then again, Z is awfully good at those particular things. The Minutemen are splitting into two factions and the settlers are calling for a provisional government. With survival maintained, the Commonwealth people want some law and order.

Summary

Sara is tired of people looking to her for advice. Of people relying on her. Of just about everything. Of the entire Southwest, really. It's time for her to move on, but even that plan stutters as the war between the Sorrows and the White Legs roars up and she is forced to either help Joshua and the Dead Horses eliminate their enemies or find her own way East out of the canyon.
