Summary
Hello my name is Marinette Dupain-cheng, I’m just a normal girl, with a normal life. That is I was just an ordinary girl like anyone else until that one fateful day. Apparently my parents had signed me up for some sort’ve lottery for students with good grades who upon winning would be selected to be a new student at the prestigious Hope’s Peak Academy for the Ultimate talents. The sorts of people who typically attend the school are those with a lot of money, or those with a lot of talent, I’m not really either of those things. Sure I craft but that’s just a hobby, I’m certainly no “Ultimate”. Well as luck would have it my name was drawn and I, normal high-schooler Marinette, was chosen as this year's “Ultimate Lucky Student”. I didn’t feel lucky, actually truthfully I was about as unlucky as they come. Constantly being bullied, ridiculed, and ostracized by pretty much everyone around me. My parents mean well but they hardly ever take the time to really get to know the real me, if they had for example, they never would have signed me up for this in the first place. In fact it was almost laughable to call me lucky anything, let alone, “Ultimate Luck”

All characters are still themselves but the Killing game and events of DR3 are not cannon. The story is a deep dive into a possible scenario of Kokichis love hotel event. I wanted to take the prompt seriously so I kinda just built a whole other reality for these people. They're all adults between ages 26-30, Shuichi and Kokichi are partners at the detective agency and they've been working together to track the elusive phantom thief know as D.I.C.E.There will be more explicit stuff later in the story but I want to keep it as tasteful as possible.

Summary
The day after the awful events of the fourth trial, Shuichi wakes up somewhere new, handcuffed to the one and only Kokichi "Problem Classmate" Ouma, who is seemingly just as lost as he is. Turns out, this odd change of pace is the result of a brand new and unnecessarily extreme motive: the "Death Puzzles" motive.
Everyone's lives rest in the palms of Shuichi and Kokichi's hands, and it's up to them to work together to defeat each "death puzzle" that is thrown their way, no matter how difficult it becomes.
Meanwhile, two of their classmates on the outside team up to dig further into the truth of not only the academy, but the killing game itself. As the only way to stop the death puzzles is either for someone to die... or to finally end the killing game.Either way, it's a fight against time.

I could only manage to nod my head “yes” out of nervousness, but as I looked down to his small, curled lips, I was immediately drawn back in and had to hold myself back from inching any closer. I watched Ouma’s smile grow and my eyes reactively shot back up to his. I swallowed the air that I nervously held in as he studied the movement in my eyes, and whispered, “You’re a bad liar, Saihara.”

It started as a dare: visit the kid with no friends who has been stuck in the hospital for longer than anyone cares to cite, give him a card, and have friends buy you pizza as a reward.
