Summary
November 6th 1983 is the night that changed the small town of Hawkins forever. The night of Will Byers' disappearance. A complete mystery. No sign of him for3 years. A stuffed body found in the quarry. No trace except from a hastily abandoned bike. It made no sense. And so he was forgotten by all but a few loved ones, desperately trying to move on. He remained lost to the world.
Until November 13th 1986. 3 years and 1 week later. Late into the evening. He is discovered by the chief of police Jim Hopper, whilst out on a crawl. No one recognises him. That is before he's reintroduced to Mike.

Summary
Will had climbed up to Mike’s window with a practiced ease, and while he always felt bad about waking Mike up from his much needed sleep, Will needed him, needed his soft and gentle touches, needed to know that Mike was alive and that he could keep Will safe from himself.
And now, Will feels more than just safe – he feels content. He’s sitting on the sloped roof of a house he’s known like the back of his hand since he was six with his legs curled up to his stomach, head resting on his knees, as he watches the love of his life blow smoke from his lips.
will has a nightmare the fall after the world goes back to normal. mike is there for him, always.

Mike thinks his life is perfect — a quiet house, a garden, and Will.
Until Will gets sick.
Not all at once, not in a way that’s easy to understand. Just small things, at first.
So Mike makes a promise.
One wish. Every week. No matter what.“Hey, Will?”
“Yeah, Mike.”
“What do you want to do this week?”
“Stay with you and go to the beach.”
“Okay.”As long as they still have time.
Or: Wills gets sick and only has a couple of months to live and Mike will make his last months as perfect as he can.

He looked away as Mike looked at him.
If his eyes had lingered a moment longer, they would have met, and Will would have seen the same gaze as shown on his own face. Words neither of them were ready to admit would have been evident in that shared look, and perhaps for once, they would have understood, would have read each other like open books, as they displayed their pages for the other to see willingly.
But Will’s eyes didn’t linger, the look was never shared, and the feeling of what could have faded into the hum of chatter from the group around them.OR: Mike doesn't remember what happened that night, but Will does. And as summer gets ever-closer, and the days start to blur together between busy shifts and lazy summer-soaking afternoons, it becomes harder and harder to ignore that something is about to surface through the tension, whether they like it or not; especially when the party plans a mini-holiday to celebrate. Definitely no messy love confessions to see here.
