Summary
Mike Wheeler rappling with unacknowledged romantic obsession toward Will Byers, five years after the traumatic events of their adolescence. Mike's in internal experience of isolation, his fetishistic attachment to a painting created by Will, and the gradual unraveling of his emotional composure. The climax occurs during a telephone call in which Mike attempts to reconnect with Will, only to confront the reality of Will's new relationship… whith another person. Mike can’t handle repressed desire, loneliness, and the disjuncture between fantasy and reality anymore.
