There are two primary reasons for your existence on earth: (1) to appreciate life, (2) to enjoy life

Appreciating life means appreciating all forms of life, including your own life. How you show your appreciation for life, in actions and in personal morals, depends largely on what you have learned from your community (religion, country, family, philosophy, etc.) and personal experience. There is no "right" way to show appreciation for life, so long as you are cognizant of the fact, and act in such a way which demonstrates this understanding, that all lives are equal parts of a larger whole.

To enjoy life in the "right" way, one must appreciate life and demonstrate through action their appreciation for life and their understanding that all lives are equal parts of a greater whole. Beyond that, rules for enjoying life the "right" way are set by community standards (ethics) and an individuals' principles (morals).

Being an equal part of a greater whole means that no one is lesser than or greater than you in terms of prioritizing appreciation for and enjoyment of life. There is nothing that makes a single person more deserving of appreciating their life than anyone else. There is nothing that makes a single person more deserving of enjoyment of life than anyone else. This "nothing" includes actions, circumstances beyond or within one's control, personal morals, and any other exceptions you may imagine should make someone less deserving.

All people are personally responsible for their own appreciation for and enjoyment of life, but a lack of either or both those things does not make them lesser deserving.
