Owen is a threat to Scott. If he was willing to go behind Scott’s back and kill Avid, he and Pyro could easily turn on Scott next. Scott doesn’t like to get his hands dirty. He’s not a fighter like Owen, but he does understand power, and he plans to protect himself and get his revenge, drawing on hundreds upon hundreds of years of experience in vampire politics and manipulation.
Step 1: Identify the Threat, Step 2: Secure Allegiances, Step 3: Learn From History, Step 4: Separate and Surround, Step 5: Eliminate.

Summary
Maruki’s dream world proves difficult to wake from, leaving Akira to face the doctor without the aid of The Phantom Thieves. At least he has Akechi, as strange as it is to take comfort from his would-be murderer. In a perfect dream, his friends don’t need him. It’s him and Akechi against the world. Maybe Akira is being selfish, as it seems this soft reality has nothing for him, but he can’t let Maruki lie to them, even if it’s a beautiful lie.
Isolated from his friends, Akira begins to grapple with his humanity.

It's easy to block out the noise; it's his friends, who are acting stupid, or other runners’ chats, who are stupid. If Feinberg has an ego it's because he's fucking earned it. No one else in the world has the competitive record he does. No one else has the consistency. No one else is the face of the sport like he is.
No one else has more to lose if it all falls apart.

Summary
Upcoming entrepreneur Sam Nerdi, with the help of the world-renowned Dr. Winston, has devised a new game show that is sure to electrify the masses.
The premise? Ten people enter an arena with a new task to complete every day, but one of them is hiding a massive advantage: a prototyped ‘god-mode,’ which allows them to do nearly anything they put their mind to. This impostor’s mission is to eliminate one player each round without arousing suspicion, and for their efforts, they will be rewarded with the privilege of keeping these new superpowers.
For the innocents’ part, they must work together to find the impostor and vote them out—which will make them suffer a painful death—but when there’s money involved, it doesn’t really matter.

"Well, what do we have here," Owen's voice pierced the silence, deceptively light with that ever-present undercurrent of menace, and sent a jolt of fear down Avid's spine. "A little bat, stuck in a cage."
He lowered himself with leonine grace onto his haunches, bringing himself down to Avid's eye level, and gazed at him through the bars. The white hair was still a shock, every time; so different from the nondescript dark-headed lumberjack who had teased him on his first day in Oakhurst. Red eyes narrowed at the corners, studying him like a particularly vexing puzzle. "Hello, Avid."
