Summary
It’s the night before Katie’s wedding, and her little brother wants to talk.
Then its the hours after the wedding, and Ash has to find his sister, and finish the conversation.
When the morning finally comes, and the sun rises, Don will find himself picking up the pieces.
Katie frowned, looking away from Ash and staring unfocused across the room. “It’s gonna be— the wedding will be great.” She leaned back a little more, pulling her arms away from Ash. “You’re still my brother, even if we don’t agree.” Ash shifted a little, almost as if he were chasing her receding touch, before he stopped himself, inching over slightly on the couch.
“Besides,” she finally turned to look at him again, “Things here always seem to work out eventually don't they?"
A hurt/comfort fic exploring Ash, Don, and Katie's sibling dynamics and the aftermath of the wedding.

Summary
“You’re a little too happy not being on my team.” A deep, resonant voice speaks from in front of them.
Curious, she peers over Don’s broad shoulder. Her gaze meets a pair of sharp violet eyes.
“NOOO! I didn’t know you were a captain— I thought you were on our team!”
Ash lowers his head with a resigned sigh. “I lost the toss,” he says, defeated, before looking back at her. “You would’ve been my first pick, by the way—“
“AW, C’MON!” she exclaims.
Or, my version of what transpired between Katie and her protective brothers after that chaotic football match.

Summary
It’s not just the feeling of her--the curve of her body as she straddles him, her hips grinding against his own--but the sight of her. The sight of Katie, framed in the soft light filtering through the stained glass, her eyes half-lidded, lips parted in that way that drives him to madness, all breathless and whiny. Her hair, loose and wild, spills around her like a halo.
If there was ever a moment of divinity, he thinks, it is this.
He wants to fall to his knees before her, to give her everything--his body, his mind, his soul. All of it. She could take it, if she wanted to. She could burn him alive with just a glance, with just the way she looked at him. And he would let her. He would beg her to.

Summary
“Who was it?” Katie asks, shifting her body to face him. Schlatt stares at her for a second, feeling like it’d been forever since he heard her speak. “Nobody you need to worry about,” he responds as he settles back onto the couch.
“What if I wanted to talk to them?” Katie volleys back.
“Did you?” Schlatt asks, doubt written all over his face.
Katie pauses for a second to think. “No,” she says, the words leaving her as if she only just made the realization. “No, I don’t think I did.”
