Bio
I craft stories where characters are loved through fear, exhaustion, shame, uncertainty, and the parts of themselves they don’t know how to hold alone.
My work balances life’s harder questions with tenderness and care. I have always been drawn to sickfic and hurt/comfort, so those are frequent in my work. I love building unease and suspense and crafting hidden meaning that is only later revealed.
I am especially drawn to Adora because I relate to the way she works so hard to figure out the right things to do. I explore how her childhood in the Fright Zone has impacted her thinking patterns and how she can try to learn to release some of them over time. I recognize many of those patterns in myself and often write as a way of working through them.
I love writing as craft and art, especially the unique challenge of serial storytelling. I am inspired to create each one-shot and chapter with clear themes and motifs and to try and really bring out the artistic elements of writing in new ways in each work.
I am a flexible plotter who always has a detailed outline that I am constantly reworking as I go.
I am always happy to discuss more. Leave me a comment on any of my works with questions!
