“N-no,” you stammered, feeling the weight of your own fluttering pulse. “Zayne. I know this isn’t what you want. I know you don’t want to hurt me. I’ll leave quietly. I promise. I’ll listen.”
Zayne tilted his head, and your gaze met his. His pupils were blown wide, eyes more black than hazel.
“What I want?” Zayne asked, leaning closer, lips hovering dangerously near your skin. “What I want is to fuck you.”
You entered the territory of an unmated alpha with no thought for consequence. Surely you see the risk you took.
