"You poor little thing. Did you just woke up from your own hibernation?" The blond man uttered beneath his breath, outstretching his right arm to the unruly long haired of the boy, caressing it gently.
Even without formalities, the man could recognize anywhere those eyes. Ones that had hunted him for a millennium that no sweet temptation of the devil could ever tame the tragedy had occured. He had no plans of meeting the boy so soon or anywhere in the future. It will always be a cruel reminder to him that for all one knows that there's part of him that is still quite human.
AU of where Rachel ditched Baam before the time that was previously set on canon and Zahard's status became active early then meets a child that still continues to hunt his dreams.
Baam climbs up the tower with a new purpose while finding himself still protecting those that he cherishes. Although, there seems to be a seed of obsession growing within his heart.

Even now, it comes out as a soft grimace– but it’s the closest thing to one Regto thinks he’ll ever see. “You– old man,” he huffed. Somehow, his eyes are the brightest they’ve ever been. “So… sentimental… for such– a shitty world, you’re really… something else…” the hand gripping Regto’s goes slack. Summary
Rudo Surebrec was accused of murdering his father and sent down to the pit. Instead of being surrounded by trash, he woke up in a tunnel filled people. He learned that he was in an exam, a hunters exam.
