“I like your messy bun,” he mentions casually as Kaiser finishes tying his hair.
“You wanna fuck me in it?” he teases.
Isagi sighs, “Can’t you just be normal and let me point out things I like about you?” Sometimes, Isagi questions if Kaiser actually believes what he says.
“I don’t know.” Kaiser takes a bite of his food and chews. Isagi notices the corners of his cheeks rising. It’s slightly hidden and could be overlooked, but he doesn’t forget to mentally store that moment in the crevices of his mind. “I don’t think there’s anything to like.” He doesn’t miss the misery in his tone, despite it being masked with a smile. It’s lonely.
But he doesn't point it out. “Then maybe if I continue sticking around, I’ll be able to show you.” Isagi takes the first bite of his dish. He looks up again to see Kaiser eat, and somehow, it actually tasted even better.
“You into body worship?" Isagi almost chokes for the second time that day.

Summary
“I could kill anyone who dared to hurt you.” He confesses, but he never raises his voice. Anxin will never raise his voice at Sangwon because he doesn’t want to fight. He just wants them to forget about this, wants Sangwon to take care of his wound, and for them to watch a stupid romantic movie until they fall asleep. Sangwon’s apologetic look hurts more than the damn bullet that almost went through his stomach. “And look at you, being the one who hurts me.”
Sangwon squeezes his eyes shut, doing everything he can to hold back the tears.
“I don’t want you to kill anyone for me, baobao.” The nickname comes out broken from his mouth (...). “I want you to live for me.”
While Sangwon is swept away by the pleasure and challenge that Anxin represents, Anxin also grapples with guilt and the internal conflict of allowing himself to feel what he feels amidst the responsibilities he carries. After all, they are natural enemies.
It’s not easy to separate what they want from what they can have, but Anxin and Sangwon are only certain of one thing: they will never stop being who they are because of something as stupid as love.
Until they do.
