Summary
Ava Sharpe was headed to California to meet her cousin Nora and her husband Ray. A new world on the horizon knowing hard work was ahead of her she wanted to make her mark on the world. She had no idea the world she was about to enter was full of greed, lies, and murder. Now in order to survive Ava, Nora and Ray have to trust local cowboys hired to work their land to protect them.
Sara had never met someone like Ava, she had grown up under the stars riding horses with her sheriff father until his death when she was fourteen when she met Mick and Leo who took her under their wing and brought her further west where the money was flowing freely. But now that the world knew about the gold it was a dog-eat-dog world and Sara couldn’t bear to let her new friends so full of promise be hurt. And Ava, well Sara couldn’t let anything happen to her she felt the need to protect Ava at any cost.
