"I don't dream at night; I dream all day, I dream, for a living." - Steven Spielberg
Bio
I don't understand how people lived before the internet.
It baffles me to even think about the concept. I was three by the the time the year 2000 rolled around after everyone was done having a big freakout about computers blowing up and ending the world. I grew up with it during the most pivotal years of my life, and judging by my Fanfiction account, the years where I had no concept of grammar or a sense of shame. (please don't read stuff added 2012 and prior)I can write what I want in a text box and have all of you read it, mom couldn't do that with the office fax machine or the typewriter (no that is not a hipster accessory you have in your room). We share thousands, millions, billions of bytes of data and information each day, and only we can determine the values of that data as it constantly pours into our Instagram accounts, Twitter accounts and bank accounts. We have the power to make or destroy a person, with just a few clicks of a keyboard or a small share button.
It's scary, how much of an open network we have become, how much we rely on the technology that surrounds us not unlike the poor souls trapped in 1999 in the Matrix. (What a bad year too)
So maybe my point is that...let's take what we have been given and treat it with respect. Let's not slander each other's names, scream words of hate in the forms of Capital letters and YouTube comments, quarrel over mother freaking fictional characters and cause all out wars that leave no one unscathed.
Just...be nice. It actually doesn't hurt.
