    After a disastrous Christmas party, Jo and Kate get snowed in together and finally face up to their feelings. Will Jo trust Kate enough to tell her the truth? Will Kate forgive Jo when she finds out what she's been hiding? Have I ticked off every festive trope you can possibly think of?

    I couldn't resist writing a Flemson Christmas fic, and this is my take on how things could have progressed if the "incident" in the lorry park never happened and Jo and Kate's relationship survived past November - although Jo's still very much in her "I'm your senior officer, I should be distant" era. I promise there are some feel-good moments and humour to offset the angst, though...in the first chapter, at least!

    However, his quest to find this brilliant mind was short-lived, for as soon as he’d resolved to track the man down, a disgruntled voice was disturbing him from the doorway, making it abundantly clear to whom the book belonged.

    “That’s mine.”

    Even the irritation soaking her syllables couldn’t hide the lyrical timbre of her voice, and its pitch also scolded him for his assumptions about the elusive scholar’s sex. A retort was forming on his tongue as he raised his eyes, but as he took in the woman standing before him, he could only blink, for he had not been expecting the owner of the voice to be wearing an elaborate satin wedding dress.
