Summary
It’s almost like his thoughts of Jinx summon her. When he walks outside the school building, he sees a few other students pointing into the air and whispering. He follows their gaze to realize they’re looking at Jinx, and even though he sees her every day, the sight of her still sends a shock through Ekko’s system.
She’s sitting in an open window on the fifth floor. Ekko knows that the windows aren’t supposed to open, so this one must be busted. How fitting. Up there, Jinx is almost peaceful, her blue bangs dancing in the wind and bleeding into the sky.
She looks down. Smiles. Gives him the middle finger.
Ekko turns around with an incredulous shake of the head. On his way to the gates, though, he raises a hand and waves behind him.

A lot was assumed with that question. That she knew where they were going, that she had a stepping-stone out of this wreckage, that when this helicopter landed, she would be their compass.
It also implied that wherever she was going, he was, too.

Summary
Snippets from the life of a courier who might be named Carolina and who is probably twenty-eight. Without memories to guide her, she builds herself a new personality out of the Couriers' Rules: the guidelines a Mojave Express courier must live by if they plan to stay in one piece. But pieces of her old self keep peeking through, and even as she tries to keep the world from spinning out of her control, others can see her coming apart at the seams.
Memory loss, friendship, possible future F!Courier/Craig Boone, found family, drama, some fluff, eventual independent New Vegas, and solving problems with soft speech and hard melee.
