Being in the kitchen with Satoru was the first time they’ve been alone since Suguru’s fumbled confession. Suguru braced himself - he wasn’t ready for this, not yet. It was too soon, too painful to see Satoru.

He smoothed his white hair back with his signature black headband, rolled up his sleeves, and took the spot that Kento had left.
