Tenko remembers that drug-fuelled afternoon. Everything was too loud and bright, and he couldn’t stand seeing Touya’s face. Touching him. Breathing the same air. If Tenko has ever felt capable of murder, then that was the time. In hindsight, Touya was brave to repeatedly find himself in Tenko’s company. Or stupid. The guy was all instinct. Acted before he could think most of the time. Couldn’t keep a fucking lid on his anger, but that was both of them, really.
“It was bruised,” Touya corrects him after a weighted beat, and he blinks once before continuing. “You broke my heart instead.”

“That’s not a fair assumption to make,” he begins to argue, slipping into his underwear, much to Dabi’s disappointment. “Why would everyone want sex–”
“–I didn’t say want–” Dabi corrects him by cutting in.
“–I don’t want sex.”
That earns him a pointed, serious look.
“We had sex a few hours ago,” he reminds Kai like he’s stupid, articulating his syllables slowly and clearly. “You initiated.”
He did initiate. He fucked him right against that wall next to the window. Because he was piss drunk and Dabi was walking around in his tiny shirt and low-slung jeans, snorting a bump off the little hollow spot on top of the base of his thumb, and Kai couldn’t help himself. He never stood a chance.

Kai does not respect the corporeal existence, but Dabi has been steadily reminding him that he’s no better than anyone else. That he’s made of the same damn oh-so-feared material – flesh and bones and desire.

“I think it’ll be you,” Dabi says cautiously; Tomura doesn’t ask him to elaborate and lets him keep going at his own pace. “I think you can do it. I think it will be in your lifetime that we deliver the last ones.”
That catches his attention and he stops playing with the toy to grace Dabi with eye contact. His brow bone lowers in confusion.
“Why do you say that?”
It’s one thing for Tomura to claim he’ll end this, but it’s very different when Dabi says he believes it.
“Because I have a bad feeling that if we fail to do it now, something unspeakably horrible is going to happen.”

Sensei left Tomura with an insurmountable task to complete, a burden he was never supposed to carry and worst of all, a contract with his very own demon – Dabi. The isolation of not being able to talk about it with his only friend in the entire world is getting to him, but he’s beginning to suspect Shuichi isn’t telling him something too. Tomura’s head spins with rage. He thinks about how good it felt to beat the living daylights out of him a few days ago. How satisfying it was to see him embarrassed over it. He also thinks about how this will never end if he doesn’t try to understand the people he expects to follow him.
He takes a steadying breath.
“Then why the hell are you here?”

They’ve been discussing it, ever since Kai guided his cock into him a few weeks ago with bated breath, whispering under his nose... Gods, I want to kill you. He didn’t expect Dabi to moan like a wounded animal at those words. Didn’t expect him to cry about wanting Kai to put him apart, rip him to shreds, destroy him, kill him, kill him, put him out of his misery.
