Kara sits down and places her notebook in her lap, joining her hands together. “I’m all ears, Miss Luthor.”
She sees the slightest of annoyances in Lena’s eyes at the formal appellation. “Please, call me Lena,” the alpha says as her expression softens. “I do not wish to be referred to as such in private, only when there are clients around. I must say that I appreciate the politeness, but I feel weird about formalities given I am younger than you.”
“You are?”
“Yes, by three years,” Lena informs her, and Kara cannot hide her surprise that her new boss, the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, is only 24 years old. “You look surprised, Miss Danvers?”
