‘Sion chokes. “Your wings?“ he splutters, coughing into his elbow.
Yushi nods. Then he turns around and something feathered and white and suspiciously wing shaped unfurls from where it had been hidden in the ruffles of his dress. A matching one twitches on his other side but stays tucked into his back.
There is no way he has a grown ass man wearing strap-on angel wings on his bed right now. Maybe this is God’s way of apologizing for the horrible four-class run he just had. To be fair, he doesn’t think he’s had a day this exciting in at least the past month.’
