Chapter Text

jungkook was lying on the big comfy bed, legs swinging back and forth, humming to himself an unfamiliar song while scrolling through his phone.

he grunted when he heard the voice of a baby crying in the background, he plunked his head on his crossed arms.

"babe, it's your turn to calm him down!" it was muffled, but he knew he was heard.

he listened to the door of the baby's room opening slowly, a cooing sound sounded from the the other room.

and then, silence.

he heard the door closing and then his own door was opening slowly, he smiled and perked his head up.

he suddenly felt weight on his body, he huffed then laughed lightly. closing his eyes in content.

jungkook purred when he felt kisses down his nape, cold hands gliding under his shirt.

-

"i can't believe you lost again!" jungkook was annoyed. no, he was pissed.

how could he lose to taehyung in bowling for the third time in a row?

"face it,  kook, you're a loser" jimin's irritating voice wasn't helping the case, either.

"now you have to buy us all a beer!" seokjin cheered and clapped his hands.

"rain check? yoonah is waiting for me at home, i don't want her to stay alone with yoongi for long"

"how is she? i haven't seen her in so long" namjoon asked with his mouth full of nachos.

"she's fine. a little bit under the weather, but it's fine. i just want to be with my family"

"i still can't believe jungkook is the first one to have a wife and a kid out of us all" jimin shook his head in disappoinment.

"well, he deserves that after all that he's been through" trust namjoon to make the atmosphere awkward.

jungkook cleared his throat and looked around, he couldn't stand seeing the pity in everyone's eyes.

"come on, i'll drive you guys each to your own house"

taehyung was the last one to be dropped off, jungkook parked outside his house but taehyung stayed.

"it was a good idea to go bowling after your speech, break the ice a little bit"

jungkook smiled, "i'm glad you all came to my therapy session, it means a lot to me"

"i... i just can't believe you've never told us, never told me..."

"it wasn't something i could just go outside and scream for everyone to know, tae"

"yeah but me? i mean, you and i were best friends. i can't believe you needed to go through all of this alone"

"there wouldn't be any difference if you knew"

"i would have exposed him"

jungkook shrugged, "it's over now"

"i always knew there was something unsettling about your relationship, but i would have never in my wildest dreams..." taehyung exhaled.

"hey," jungkook placed his hand on taehyung's thigh and squeezed reassuringly, "it's okay, it's over. stop thinking about it"

"i just can't wrap my head around it, i'm sorry i'm being dramatic"

"it's a lot of new information to take in, i understand. i just don't want you to feel guilty"

"how can i not? what happened on that day, happened after...?"

jungkook sighed and stopped the car completely, "yes. but-"

"how can you tell me not to feel guilty when all of this happened because of me?"

"hey," jungkook frowned, "what happened happened because my father was alcoholic and abusive, even if it wasn't for you he would've found another reason to do what he did. what happened that day between us was a wake up call for me. in a way, you helped me get out"

"but you came back"

"after seven years"

"you still came back to him."

jungkook shrugged, "dad had his addiction, which was alcohol. and i had mine, which was him. the apple doesn't fall far from the tree"

"i think his real addiction was you, too."

"honey, i'm home!" jungkook chuckled to himself from the cliché filled sentence that had just left his mouth.

he took off his coat and shoes, the apartment was quiet.

he went to check on yoonah, she was sleeping deeply, he didn't want to wake her up.

jungkook decided to go to the other room to check on little yoongi, the room was dark.

jungkook frowned, he was positive he left the night-light on, he wavered around the pitch black room and turned the dimmed light on, covering it with the first piece of clothing he could find.

"had fun bowling?" jungkook jumped and turned around.

"jesus, you scared the shit out of me. i keep forgetting you have a spare key"

"sorry son, just came here to check on my dear daughter. that is my apartment after all" mr kim smiled.

jungkook felt sick to his stomach.

"she's still not feeling well"

the smile was gone, "she's been sick for a while now, can i see her?"

"she's sleeping, i don't think you should wake her up"

mr kim nodded and crossed his arms, "how is yoongi?"

the shared an intense stare.

"my dear grandson. how is he, jungkook?"

"he's fine, sleeping"

mr kim hummed and nodded, not taking his eyes off of jungkook.

"anything else?"

"how long do we have till she wakes up?" mr kim took a step forward and stroked the younger's cheek.

jungkook could actually taste vomit in his mouth.

"depends on what you want to do"

he was suddenly pushed backwards, back hitting the wall behind him.

he groaned when mr kim sniffed at his neck, gripping his arms. "you. i want to do you."

jungkook pushed against his chest lightly, heart thumping. "not here, not in front of the baby"

"i'll be waiting in the living room" he pecked jungkook's lips gently and left the room.

jungkook rubbed his lips as if he could erase the taste of this man off of him while doing that.

he took out his phone,

"i think he knows"

send.

he took a deep breath, preparing himself mentally for what is about to come and went to the living room as well.
