Chapter Text
Prologue: Vision of our future
My actions haven't been those of a sane person since a long time ago. It's not because I left myself be carried away by emotions, seething and childish like the leader of the Villain's League. Neither for being arrogant and self-indulgent, trying to crawl until the top, or because I was left behind by the delirious ideals of this avenger's society. It was because I decided to not play in the same board that them.
“Tokio's New”
The Military Active's Assimilation Law, popularly know as “Anti-Hero Law”, will be passed by Japan's National Diet in two weeks. This law has created controversy based on the attribution of the private services of the so-called "heroes" in favor of public institutions. In other words, this services, which were divided in private agencies, are going to be administrated by a national institution, turning the famous and heroic figures in government officials.
Those who favour this law have argued that it's going to suposse a reduction at public cost, which was previously used to pay their activities, replacing the known quotas with normal salaries. Also, they hope that this serve to repair the legal institutions like the Metropolitan Tokio Police, which acorrding to some, “have become a cleaning service for heroes”. Meanwhile, the oppositors at this law have seen this like a property right's violation and an illicit appropiation of privated propieties and services by the state...”
It is easy to forget that we live in a society made up of more pieces that heroes and villains when you see them, with their almost divine abilities, fight. Thunder, wind, decadence, pain and glory interwoven in a breathtaking painting which make you forget that there is more to the world. And that forgetfulness is our downfall. Because, while we are looking at that painting, their flames grow.
“Psychological Journal”
The Unificated Psychologist Association or UPA has inaugurated their new headquaters at Japan's capital, after a speech of his director and co-funder, Dr. Hitoshi Shinsou. Hard words, coming from a Yuei ex-student, have higlighted even more the antagonist attitud of this organitation against legal and social procedure against specific villain pacients.
“The japanese and global society have ignored the social and psichological's aspect of quirk too long. Individuals with “malevolent or henious” quirks have suffered severe damage in their psyche for social pressure since the beginning of the hero society and this has been raising up crime statistically for years. This kind of pressure in a young mind can suposse a push in the wrong direction to people with mental illness or a complex situation. Examples of this are Himilo Toga and Jin Bubaigawara, treated patients in our institution who show an favorable progress-
The pre-quirk society would have diagnosed them with a personality disorder caused by traumatic experiences, but in our society this are only villain characteristics, which stigmatized even more their mental problems. This I can confirm like a psychologist and like someone affected by this pressure.”
This impopular opinion, however, has started to grow at the high politics and academics spheres, rising at the so-called “Second Anti-Quirk Wave”, referencing the civil movements against first quirks ussers at past century's beginning. This organitation, who work with internationals (...)”
And is even more easy forget that true powers is not in the supernatural strenghts of quirks neither at the hand of the powerfull heroes. Going down that road we only return, undoing our ancestor's steps, until we are one step from tha abyss. All for One undestand it and his fellonies were only a masquerade to hide his real actions and intentions. Because it's easy to hide a criminal empire when the only force of good center his attention at pety criminals with impressives quirks. Sometimes I ask myself if all their relationships with One for All's holders weren't only a excuse to hide his activities for longer...but, unfortunately, that is a secret which he taked to his tumb.
“The famous highschool for heroics, Yuuei, will close their doors this year
The educative institution, which attracted admiring glances and hopes from few generations, will close their doors at this year's end. The reason are few. First, a lost of public funds due to a decadence of the heroe industry and rise of private and public saftely sectors. Second, due to reallocation of Yuei's teachers as police instructors, actives at crime fight or infrastructure repairing. Third, the disapperance of their director, commonly know as Nezu, was an ending point, that started with scandals related to school's security and their treatment of student in relation with Villain League attacks.
The Secretary of Education, himself, has made a declaration about closure of this academy.
“U.A was the most privileged school in our budget sistem and, in the las 20 years, has supposed a 20% of their expenses and an 10% of National Defense. It was a beacon of hope in times when our government couldn't, however their existence is unnecesary and his fund will be redistribuited at differents schools”
Politics, education, media, culture...Those are true elements of power. Forces imposible of being resisted with only punchs and turn everyone who try in villains. Again, All for One understand it well, but he didn't dare to step in and consolidate his power. However, I can get it. No sane man could want to do it, an action which turn agains yourself.
“Body found at Tokyo's bay identified as Shigaraki Tomura, Villain League's Leader”
But, as I said before, has been a long time since I lost my sanity...and, when I started to walk to reach my goal, I realised...that the flame which illuminated this new era, the sun of justice and villainy, was easily extinguished.
“Last News, All Might pass away by kidney failure in the Tokio Metropolitan Hospital. His funeral service will be...”
And leave only uncertain darkness.
