Work Text:
The crowd was jumping up and down the the beat of the music. But Park Jimin and his boyfriend Min Yoongi was slow dancing. It was their thing.
Slow dancing together at a party. That's how they both met. It was Jimin's first college party when he met Yoongi.
The older guy was wearing a black shirt, and black skinny jeans. He was dancing alone and Jimin was drawn by Yoongi, not the way dance, but the way the light hits his face, he was glowing.
Let's say it was love at first sight. Jimin couldn't take off his eyes at the dancing guy.
"Who's that?" He couldn't help himself. He asked his friend, Hoseok, they met together at the Dance Club orientation and the two guys became friends instantly.
Hoseok looked at the guy that Jimin was pointing at.
He grinned. "That's Yoongi-hyung. He would sometimes play the piano every time we have a contemporary dance rehearsal."
"Yoongi." Jimin thought.
He could instantly imagine his life with Yoongi.
He was whipped.
Jimin wasn't even paying attention to Hoseok and he found himself walking towards Yoongi and asking him for a dance.
He swore he could see the older guy blushed by his sudden approach.
That was Jimin's best decision ever.
"You know, I love it when you smile, when you smile for me, and only me." Jimin whispered to Yoongi.
Yoongi turned red.
"Stop being sappy, Jimin." He said.
Jimin laugh at Yoongi's shyness.
"But, its true. I love how your face lights up the whole room every time you would see me." He said.
Yoongi playfully smacked him.
"Shut up." He said as he turned away.
"Let's go home, okay?" Jimin whispered.
Yoongi smiled at him. "Okay."
"I swear to go, Jiminie, Yoongi-hyung got you whipped." Hoseok said one day as Jimin dragged him to a flower shop.
It was their anniversary and he wanted to do something special for Yoongi.
"Shut up. You're just jealous cause you haven't confessed to Taehyung yet." Jimin said as he was choosing a bouquet of flowers.
Hoseok blushed. "God I hate you and your love for Yoongi."
(Hoseok doesn't want to admit it. Be he loves it cause his friends are happy.)
It was two weeks after their anniversary when they had their first fight.
Yoongi was busy, and frustrated so he lets out his anger on Jimin. Jimin walked away, saying nothing.
(After a few hours, Yoongi said sorry and they had the best make up sex of their life.)
It was two years before their graduation when Jimin asked Yoongi to move in with him.
"Aren't we living together already?" Yoongi asked as they lazily cuddled on the couch.
"Well, you have your toothbrush here, and let's see, your favorite blanket," Jimin paused and gave Yoongi a kiss. "Hm, you're right." He said.
Yoongi pushed him away. "Shut up, Park Jimin. You'll help me with my things, right?" He asked.
"That depends of my schedule tho." Jimin teased.
"I hate you." Yoongi said as he threw a pillow on Jimin's face.
Jimin laughed and cupped his face, pulling him into a quick kiss.
"I love you too."
On Yoongi's senior year, they don't go to parties anymore.
They would just dance around their kitchen, their phones as the DJ and the flashlight serves as their party lights.
"You know, I kinda like this." Jimin said.
"Of course you do." Yoongi said as he tried his best to hide his smile.
"I love you, Yoongi. I'm glad you said yes when I asked you to dance."
After all these years, Yoongi doesn't want to admit it, but he was glad that Jimin asked him to dance.
"Yeah, me too." He murmured as he rested his head on Jimin's shoulder.
