Chapter Text
Yesterday’s events hadn’t exactly gone as he expected. Sure, anything can happen within any certain point of time, anytime and anywhere. Izuku knows from experience, along with the rest of his classmates, that they were no strangers to unsuspecting villain attacks. Considering the fact that they’ve been dragged through the pits of hell and back, especially from that day at the summer retreat last year. Situations like those weren’t exactly foreign nor startling anymore. They’ve experienced, they’ve learned, it was all practice if you were to forwardly summarize it really. At least that’s how Izuku would regard it if he were honest. Though the idea of admitting that out loud would probably result in a few questioning faces, curious replies, or tense glares from his peers. None of which he would like to deal with at all.
Regardless of his personal experience within such events, nothing really could’ve prepared him for the rather strange feeling of dissociation he felt yesterday night. It was, to put it simply, downright abnormal how dissociated he felt with his body the minute he had left the scene and allowed the pros to take over the fight he took part of.
The villain he encountered yesterday wasn’t flashy or anything worth being cautious of, let alone intimidating enough to stir hesitation in Izuku. He remembered seeing a pretty face, her long raven black hair flowing freely down her back, a tight black mini dress hugging her curvy figure while exposing her long tanned legs, and red manicured nails toying with what had appeared to be an expensive looking watch, the shimmering bits catching on the sun’s glare, giving it a dazzling appearance, while she was leisurely making her way towards an alleyway. It hadn’t caught his attention right away, but the second he was about to turn his head to continue walking alongside his intern friend, his attentive eyes captured it then. A quick flash of white the minute she disappeared down the dimmed alley between two old factory buildings. Purposely ignoring the thought of being too curious for his own good, he also remembered dragging Asasaki, his partner that was with him at the time, toward the alleyway that the mysterious pretty woman had went through. To say that that he was surprised at the result would be an understatement.
If openly summarized, the villain was apparently disguised as a sex worker who roamed throughout the city looking for potential clients to steal valuable possessions from. What Izuku and Asasaki didn’t expect was to witness the said woman transforming into a tall, brute looking man with tattoo sleeves on both arms, dressed head to toe in black with a studded leather jacket hanging on his arm. It was startling at first but he also remembered the man catching them both looking and instantly going on offense. Cutting midway through the fight in the alley, Asasaki had restrained the villain from nearly bashing Izuku’s head against the wall by the blazing hot chains she shot out from her hands. The man was pushed back against the wall with the scorching chains wrapped around him, serving to emit a surrender, but Izuku had been too close within his proximity before the villain blowed a gust of dusty pink angled at his face.
Long after apologizing profusely to Asasaki for dragging her along his reckless act, the two of them were sent home from the agency after a brief interrogation from police officers and their boss. Not only had he felt embarrassed at the scolding he received from the agency, but it was when he was boarding the bus back to the dorms that he felt it. The sensation of his conscious slowly separating from his body. He had felt his limbs become numb, his fingers sickly cold, and the vision of his surroundings become smaller and smaller. He wasn’t sure of what the hell was happening to him at the moment, but unable to voice his confusion, everything appeared to look as if he were watching a movie. He was no longer present in his reality but rather within his head. His eyes were seeing everything around him through a big screen, people moving past him, not bothering to cast him a single glance as he continued to emptily stare out at nothing yet everything. He wasn’t in control of his body yet he was. The feeling was terrifying.
Later that night, after dodging his prying friends from the common room and insistent boyfriends, he also remembered sensing a tingly feeling in the middle of his chest. Worriedly thinking he was getting heartburn, he was about to get up to fetch some pills before he felt the tingling sensation slowly disappear. Everything was too much to make sense of, all he wanted was to sleep the events from the evening away. Not bothering to give it anymore thought, he turned to his side and finally succumbed the slumber he didn’t even realize his body was begging him for.
Everything went black, save for a sweet vanilla smell wafting through the air as he fell further into his dreamless sleep.
—
“Alright, that’s enough running for today.” Aizawa droned, his eyes scanning over his panting, sweaty students while they sluggishly made their way towards him. “Expect this same course as preparation for the next couple of weeks. With summer approaching, it's only a matter of time before you will all attend the next summer retreat should you pass the end of year exams. That being said, also keep in mind that we will be testing your endurance, combat, and team cooperating skills in comparison to your tests from the beginning of the year. You’re dismissed.”
With a loud unison groan, Kirishima and Kaminari were the first ones to reach the water fountains near the the boys locker rooms, the rest of them trailing close behind.
“Holy shit, I can’t feel my legs.” Kaminari warbled, taking large gulps of the cool water, some of it spilling down his throat.
“Tell me about it, my calves feel like they’re bout’ta burst right now.” Kirishima groaned while standing back to stretch his legs out, his calves screaming through a burning sting that nearly had him cry out.
“I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to die this badly.” Izuku exasperatedly said, trudingdly making his way towards the entrance of the locker rooms, Bakugou and Todoroki close behind.
The blonde snorted, “Quit being a pussy ‘bout it, three miles ain’t even that bad.” Grunting at the sudden shove against his back, he turned his head over his shoulder ready to yell a string of derogatives towards whatever dumbass decided it would be funny to start pushing. Todoroki regarded him with a passive look plastered on his features but even then Bakugou was able to recognize the slight quirk of the boy’s lips.
“If it's not so bad then why don’t you go run another three. You can handle it, right?”
Five full minutes of constant bickering and smart-mouthed replies had passed as they all found themselves within the locker rooms. The stuffy atmosphere that threatened to suffocate Izuku confirmed his question that he definitely should shower before heading back to class. Maybe the refreshing feeling after one would ease the ache of his muscles. That is, if he allowed himself to shower in ice cold water, which, to his distaste, sounded way worse than going to class sticky and sweaty. Pulling out his shower belongings from his locker, his eyes flickered over to Todoroki near the end of his locker row.
Temptingly, his eyes skimmed over the expanse of his boyfriend’s bare back. The same back he’s scratched up a few times during their free weekends when both boys found themselves eating each other’s faces out in Todoroki’s room, a random show playing in the background. Izuku quickly dismissed the sudden thought as he felt his cheeks heat up at the recall from last week. Being in the middle of the sweaty, naked bodies of his classmates while changing or showering was definitely not the time to be thinking of such images.
To his bewilderment, he couldn’t decipher the rush of something electric flowing through his bloodstream, the feeling seeping down to his bones and fueling an abrupt wave of adrenaline that he had no idea how it even came about when he had just finished running three miles under the grueling sun. It felt as if he just activated his quirk. Alerted green eyes began to frankly look over his limbs, checking for signs of One For All being activated. Puzzlingly, none was found except that the buzzing feeling only began to grow. The pit of his stomach began to whirl.
What?
“Oi, you gonna go shower or continue eye fucking Shouto,” Izuku snapped his head back to his other boyfriend changing in front of him. Bakugou raised a pale brow, “Don’t act like you weren’t just staring at his back like a creep right now.”
“Shut up, Kacchan.” Izuku sheepishly grumbled, turning around to gather the rest of his supplies and purposely ignoring the prickling sensation coursing through his body while doing so. Before his hand was able to grab the towel though, an intense wave of tingling began to crawl under his skin. Izuku yelped as the prickling feeling began to roll down his upper body all the way to the end of his toes, his nerves roaring to life.
“Midoriya what’s—”
“Dude, are you okay?”
Unable to answer the questions of his now concerned classmates who began to draw closer to him in worry, Izuku shook his head and clutched at his rumbling stomach while falling to his knees, the impact of cold stone meeting his knees only serving to add a throbbing ache onto the now painful buzzing running through his veins.
“Oi oi, Deku! What the fuck is coming out of you?” At Bakugou’s demand, Izuku raised his bowed head to peer up at the blonde who was now kneeled in front of him, his peripheral catching sight of Todoroki crouched at his side. Questioningly, he opened his mouth to ask what he was talking about until a ghast of glittering pink poofed out of his body and enveloped his surroundings, temporarily blinding his classmates if the sound of confused squawks and shouts had anything to say about that.
“What the hell is this!” Kaminari shouted from somewhere near his side, Kirishima voicing his own question nearby.
“Izuku, how do you feel?” Izuku blearily blinked his eyes open, his vision practically swimming in pink as his dazed eyes took in the sight of a rosy colored cloud swarming his body. The first thing that came to mind was the weird feeling of something ridiculously heavy resting against his chest. He wasn’t wearing any sort of weighted vest from what he remembered when they were out running in the track. So why did his torso feel so heavy?
Izuku’s confusion began to morph into panic as he felt a strange sense of emptiness in his nether regions. Okay, if there’s one thing he’s certain about its that he knows how that area is supposed to feel and regarding how his dick feels at this current moment, Izuku could only slowly reach down in growing panic at the sudden thought dawning in his head.
“Izuku—“ A cold hand reached through the cloud of pink and landed on his bare arm, only for it to abruptly retract as if Izuku’s arm was a scorching furnace.
“Todoroki?” Unmistakingly, it wasn’t his normal tentative boyish voice that called out but a soft and rather high voice, the resemblance shockingly sounding like a—
“Girl...”
Sporadically, Izuku scrambled back in horror until his back hit the cool surface of the locker door behind him. He didn’t want to accept the idea, stubbornly shaking his head like the action would somehow take back what just happened, his mind refusing to accept the thought of how his body— he just turned into a girl.
“Izuku!”
Disregarding the fact that his chest felt alarmingly heavy and naked, Izuku blinked while watching the ghast that emitted from his body a few minutes ago slowly begin to disappear. How this even happened and the reason why remained unanswered in his head. Rattling thoughts flew by in his mind by the second as he continued to dawn over the fact that he, Izuku, a boy, was now a girl. Maybe it was from something he drank earlier in the cafeteria during their lunch break? Something he must’ve mistakenly ate? Or could it have been when he ran into that sweet smelling boy earlier in the hall while heading to class? Truthfully, the boy did smell strikingly just like vanilla, almost the same as the drink he always gets down at the cafe that’s nearby the dorms. Could it have been when he had accidentally breathed down Izuku’s face while getting up from their sprawled position? Izuku continued to mumble while thinking of possible scenarios that could have resulted in his current predicament, not noticing that the cloud had finally cleared up and left him bare from from the waist up to the full view of his shocked classmates.
“M-Midoriya!” Kirishima perpetually called out, his ears turning an embarrassing shade of red when his eyes landed on Izuku’s set of large breasts. Now that was fucking weird.
Todoroki’s eyes widened at the sight of Izuku slouching against the locker on the floor, tanned, thick legs limply extended out in front of her while slender arms, although still scarred, braced themselves at her side.
Undoubtedly, the situation at hand was one that neither of them would have ever expected, let alone witness. It wasn’t the first time Todoroki has seen weird events play out when revolved around Izuku. It especially wasn’t new to him the first month he had began to date both Midoriya and Bakugou. When paired with a chaotic, ambitious, and impulsive duo, it was only a matter of time before Todoroki became accustomed to witnessing abnormal and brash behavior.
Though this at hand was not exactly something he would have expected. In the slightest.
“Deku, what in the absolute FUCK just happened to you?” The blonde’s brows furrowed deeply while regarding the scene he just witnessed play out. What the fuck? He threw one last look of bemusement before hesitantly spinning around, sweaty hands rummaging through his locker. “You fucking morons don’t just stand around! Someone go get Recovery Girl or someone to help out with whatever the fuck this is!” Casting a sharp glare over his shoulder, he met the gaze of Kaminari who hesitatingly nodded before his electric friend dashed out the locker room.
“Bakugou, I think we should give Izuku a shirt man...I don’t know what the hell just happened either but her...yeah.” Kirishima spoke out, rubbing a hand against the warm nape of his neck awkwardly while assessing the situation. Out of respect, of course, the red head averted his eyes from the naked chest of his friend. Okay this was really weird. “You guys don’t look!”
“What the hell do you think I’m doing, shithead! I don’t even know if I have a spare clean shirt though.”
Tokoyami was the first to speak against the uncomfortable tense silence that settled between them. “We should go tell those who are showering about the situation before it can get any worse. I don’t think Midoriya would appreciate the extra attention considering hi-- her state right now.” Quickly slipping on his white uniform shirt, Tokoyami looked out to Kirishima and Shoji in question, receiving confirming nods in return. The set of boys began to round back towards the end of lockers before disappearing down the hall where the showers were located.
“Shit, here!”
Heterochromatic eyes met crimson as Bakugou tossed a spare black faded t-shirt in his direction. Snatching the shirt, Todoroki turned back towards the sight of Izuku, watching her finally begin to sit up and regain full senses.
“Oh my god, oh my god, I’m a girl !” The anxiety that skyrocketed through her stomach when the realization finally hit Izuku did not ease as wavering green eyes looked up and locked gazes with Bakugou, who stared back with flummox painted on his sharp features. “No shit you idiot, what did you even do for this to even happen?” He asked, his legs crossing the short distance between them as he kneeled in front of Izuku. “Don’t tell me you drank one of those weird ass juices that Mina made back in the dorms.”
Izuku shook her head, “No I didn’t...I—”
“As much as I want to get answers to what just happened as well, Izuku, put this on first. Regardless of the fact that you’re not really a girl, you need to cover up.”
Izuku nodded and reached a skinny, and much more feminine looking, hand out. Pulling the large t-shirt over her head, the events from the previous day began to unfold. Izuku couldn’t fathom on how this even began so it only made sense if she started from the beginning. If remembering clearly, she did nothing that would have been alarmingly suspicious or possibly dangerous.
She had been with Asasaki the whole afternoon yesterday while they were on their internship at the agency. No signs of poor weather or a gloomy sky were present, it had been another clear, sunny day while walking back to the agency building from their quick trip to the store. Although the timing seemed a little off, Izuku remembered the two of them walking down an isolated street that only had a few civilians walking by. There was nothing strangely ominous about the situation though, save for the fact of that one pretty woman walking through the—
Oh.
“Uhh, hey...I think I might know why this happened, I’m still not sure on the ‘how’ part though.”
Todoroki and Bakugou directed their attention back on Izuku, eyes scanning over her frame being swallowed up in Bakugou’s black shirt. To say that the new transformation of their...girlfriend was baffling to them all was appropriate, sure. No one could have possibly expected Izuku to turn into the opposite sex at any certain point of time. But then again, the two boy’s gazes taking in Izuku’s state, who began fidgeting under the scrutiny, maybe this wasn’t so bad. Considering how much Izuku’s long, dark eyelashes stood out in contrast to her ridiculously round, sparkling forest green eyes, the infinite amount of freckles scattered across the slope and tip of her nose, running over her cheeks, down to the puffy pink lips being chewed on at the moment, Izuku’s previous features were now twice as distracting than Bakugou or Todoroki would have liked. Entirely too much actually, since both boys were finding it a bit difficult to place their focus on what Izuku was saying rather than her change of appearance.
“Hah?”
“Recovery Girl!” Izuku said, her eyes snapping towards the elder woman with Kaminari by her side walking towards them. Bakugou and Todoroki shook out of their daze and turned their attention on the pair coming towards them.
She sighed, the short woman closing her eyes, shaking her head, “My my my, Izuku. It seems like you really can’t keep still and stay out of troubling situations for the life of you.”
Embarrassed at the light scolding, Izuku apologized and followed Recovery Girl after being briefly inspected. It wasn’t necessary, the elder even announced that they were free to resume their routines, both boys knew this. But after Todoroki had informed Kaminari where the rest of the boys were, the honey blonde not hesitating to run after the rest of them, undoubtedly to talk about the situation, Todoroki and Bakugou followed Izuku and Recovery Girl back to her office. They only received a curious look from the healing hero before she led them back.
Walking down the familiar halls, Bakugou couldn’t really keep his eyes off Izuku. His girlfriend’s presence was entirely too fucking weird but alluring at the same time if he was being blunt. It was actually a bit irksome to put it decently. Remembering Izuku’s claims, she was confident in explaining that she did nothing last night. And by that she meant she didn’t take any of the fucked up, probably poisonous, concoctions that Mina made that could have resulted in this outcome. If Izuku didn’t do anything last night or anything from earlier on this day, then how the hell could have this possibly happened? The only thing Bakugou was aware of was Izuku’s internship yesterday. That’s all.
Wait.
Don’t fucking tell me…
“Halfie.”
Todoroki turned, tilting his head.
“I bet you twenty that this dumbass got struck with a quirk during her internship yesterday.”
Indifference plastered on his face, Todoroki looked back at Izuku and Recovery Girl walking in front of them, the two girls talking about something most likely uncomfortable if Izuku’s hunched shoulders and hesitant nods had anything to say about that. To his knowledge, Todoroki was aware of only a selective amount of differences that women had to endure. Growing up with an older sister practically raising him, this came with certain details being learned that he wouldn’t have necessarily asked for but would be useful to know anyways. Or so his sister said, unnecessarily adding the thought of Shouto’s future significant other being appreciative. He didn’t know what to find more conveniently comical, his sister being off by a small margin in predicting his future partner or the fact that the opportunity in using his knowledge on women might just present itself soon.
Still. Todoroki took one last look at Izuku before turning back to Bakugou.
“No.”
“Hm?”
“You’d win.”
He received a shove to his shoulder in return.
