Work Text:

Bakugou Katsuki, an up and coming pro-hero training at the well known U.A. Academy. Despite his angry, rebellious appearance and explosive personality, Katsuki is one of the top students in the hero course. Katsuki is known as rude and unfriendly by his classmates, but by his two loving boyfriends, Izuku Midoriya and Shouto Todoroki, they know he has many soft spots for some small things. The explosive teen can be quite pleasant to be around when he is in his calmer state.

Another small fact only known to his boyfriends, is that Katsuki is insecure. Hiding these emotions behind his anger and cold front, he deals with many insecure thoughts and depression quite often. After entering his polyamory relationship with the two most annoying, but loving people on the earth, many insecurities and worries had vanished; only to bring up more, of course. What if Izuku and Shouto decided he was not worth their time? What if they found someone better, less angrier and frustrating than him? Do they hate him because of how little he shows his affection towards them? They know he loves them entirely, right..?

He refuses to show his weaknesses, his boyfriends know how much he despises being weak. They learned quickly that if Katsuki really needed them, he would go to them. It was frustrating on the two seeing him upset and not being able to help, let alone ask and worry about it. But they respected that when he needs them, he will open up to them and let them in.

Katsuki deals with these thoughts often, but certain days like this one, it gets bad enough that he does go to the loves of his life about his thoughts and emotions. Shouto, being the quiet one, usually just holds him and plays with his hair while he explains these things. He will reassure Katsuki through soft touches and kisses to his face and hand while the blond talks. Izuku will talk him through, reassuring him through words while running his hands gently up and down Katsuki’s arms or sides. He found out quickly that gentle touches to random places like his arms help calm him down. They were always there for him, always loving and supportive. He knew he could talk to them about anything and feel safe about it. So when Katsuki walked quietly through the shared dorm room door, sitting himself down in the office chair, both of his boyfriends had their eyes on him. Shouto was on the couch across from the kitchen where Izuku stood, making some tea.

He sighed deeply before looking at the pair of eyes on him, giving them a small smile before looking down at the floor, feeling his body to begin shaking. Izuku was the first by his side, grabbing on to him and pulling him into a hug. Shouto was soon next to them as well, standing on Katsuki’s right side while leading them to the couch. Here Shouto laid his back up against the arm of the couch, letting the blond sit in his lap and wrap his arms around the heterochrome boy. His face was buried in Shouto’s neck, feeling him shake as he strained to prevent himself from crying. Izuku was behind Katsuki, wrapping his arms around the taller one’s waist, pressing his face into the explosive teen’s back and whispering reassuring words. They say like this for a while until Katsuki calmed down.

Once he stopped shaking, Izuku was the first to speak up. He kept his voice low and soft so it would not startle the blond. “Are you calmer now, Kacchan?” The blond nodded slightly, keeping his face hidden in Shouto’s neck. Katsuki found crying to be embarrassing. He hated crying in front of people, especially these two.

Izuku looked to Shouto, who was playing with his hair. He studied Izuku’s worried face for a moment, giving him a soft smile to say things will be all right. He kissed Katsuki’s neck, and the small bit of his face that was exposed. He could feel the blond flinch at this before relaxing again, reluctantly pulling himself away from Shouto. He kept his eyes on Shouto’s shirt, focusing on the small lines of fabric to prevent from looking at the other’s faces.

“Do you want to talk about it?” Shouto said this time, taking Katsuki’s hands and bringing them up to his face where he kissed them. He did this a few times to each hand while gently rubbing his own thumb over them before placing them back down. Shouto then looked up at Katsuki’s face, watching his crimson eyes as they looked anywhere but at the red and white haired teen.

It was a few moments of silence as Katsuki debated if he really wanted to talk about it. He nodded slightly, before fixing his position so his back was against Shouto’s chest, this time facing Izuku. He noticed how the green eyes his lover held were filled with worry, a little watery as well. He figured Izuku had probably been crying, too. Hah, that idiot, crying as well. There was no reason for him to cry.

The blond teen took a deep breath again while pulling Izuku on to him, wrapping his arms around the smaller one's frame. “I just,” he paused for a moment, trying to find words. “I just don't feel good enough for you two,” Katsuki could feel Shouto shift a bit as he wrapped his own arms around the two. This is not the first time they have talked about these type of things, all of them had these moments, but Katsuki more so.

“You two are perfect. You two are perfect together. Shou, you are so calm and caring. You always think things through and you're always willing to be our rock. You pick us up even when you're struggling yourself,” Katsuki began shaking again, trying to prevent himself from crying. “You do so much for me even after how I treated you at first. I really don't deserve it.”

Then the shaking teen looked down at Izuku, who looked back with those bright green eyes he had come to love. “And Izuku, I treated you like shit. Yet you sit here and love me. You treat me like that has never happened. I don't deserve you and your loving smile,” He leaned his head forward a bit, kissing the top of the green-haired boy’s head.

Izuku pushed himself away from his boyfriends’ holds, cupping Katsuki’s face in his hand and kissing him. “Kacchan, we would never trade you for anything in the world,” Izuku said softly, kissing his boyfriend again and again before continuing. “Shouto and I love you and have forgiven you for the past. You have changed so much since then, and we know you're trying your hardest for us,” Izuku smiled against his cheek, kissing him again before pulling back. Katsuki looked up at him with a drained expression, tears forcing their way out and down his face.

Shouto agreed softly with some kisses before speaking up himself. “We love you, and we don't deserve you. Do you not notice what you have done for us?” With that, Katsuki turned to look at Shouto, staring into his heterochrome eyes. “When Izuku was sick, you went out of your way to make him soup and get him medication at the store. How about when I wasn't feeling too great that one time and you sat with me all night until I was okay,” Katsuki looked back on that memory.

He had found Shouto all alone outside one night, looking like he had just cried his heart out. He was laying in the middle of the pathway, looking up at the sky when Katsuki walked up and kicked him slightly. “Icy-hot, you alive?”

Shouto had grunted, not looking away from whatever in the sky was keeping his attention. Katsuki sighed loudly and sat next to him, looking up as well. He strained to see whatever the fuck Shouto had found so interesting, but could not find a damn thing.

He turned his attention back towards Shouto, looking at his puffy and red eyes before laying down next to him. He sighed loudly before he began talking about the stars and constellations. The blond teen may not look like it, but he had some knowledge on the stars. He began pointing around, constantly looking at the half-n’-half teen to see if he still had his attention. Eventually he noticed Shouto drifting off to sleep, questioning how the teen could even sleep on this pavement. He grunted as he stood up, picking up Shouto and bringing him back into the dorms.

“I can’t believe you fucking fell asleep. That was uncomfortable as hell!” The blond teen laughed slightly, realizing that was probably when he fell for the stupid half-n’-half.

Shouto laughed quietly, gently kissing him again before playing with his spiky hair. He pressed his head against the back of Katsuki’s neck, tickling him with his own hair. “You also laid there though. You didn't have to but you did anyways,” Katsuki grumbled a bit at that comment, saying how he looked pathetic just laying there and that he would not of been able to walk away knowing he was looking pathetic. They all laughed at this before Izuku took his hand.

“Do you remember when you carried me to the Recovery Girl when I got really hurt during training?” Izuku added with a smile. Katsuki did not really like this memory since it was his fault in the first place, but he thought back on it anyways.

He and Izuku had been sparring a bit, going at it often to train each other. After being restricted to cleaning the dorms, Katsuki took it upon himself to teach Izuku how to use his legs better and to help make them stronger. Katsuki used his Quirk against Izuku many of times, but Katsuki was also dealing with some pent up anger and shot a few too many at the wrong time. He heard Izuku’s pained scream echo around him, instantly signaling the green-haired teen was hit by an explosion.

“Deku!” Katsuki yelled out, blindly moving through the smoke as it was not clearing fast enough. He finally found the smaller boy crying and on the ground, curling up in a ball. The left side of his face was burned up until under his eye, and the burn trailed down to his side, right above his hip. His uniform was ripped apart and blood was beginning to spill out of certain sections of the burn. Katsuki’s breathing spiked as he roughly picked up the smaller teen and ran as fast as he could to Recovery Girl, practically shaking and crying himself.

The blond teen looked up towards his boyfriend, looking at the scar that was left behind. Most of it was faded now, and his shirt covered the worst of it, but there was still the mark on the side of his face. He ran his hand over the burn scar, feeling miserable by the memory now. He was terrified that he could have killed the smaller boy, but Izuku stopped this thought process as he leaned into Katsuki’s hand. The green-haired teen placed his own hand on top of his, and looked into his crimson eyes.

“You were still worried and carried me all the way there. You wouldn't leave even after she said I was fine,” Izuku kissed his face again, gently trailing to his lips.

“You taught me to be stronger, Kacchan. I can stand up for myself because of you,” Izuku hugged him, wrapping his arms around Shouto as well. “But even when I can't, I know you and Shou will be there for me. You are also the rock to the three of us. You help complete us, Kacchan.”

Katsuki grunted a little, forming some words in his head. He place his head in the crook of Shouto’s neck, closing his eyes. “Yeah, well, you both would be fucking lost without me,” He tried to say it with his usual flare, but unfortunately could not capture that due to how tired he was feeling. This caused the two other idiots in his life to laugh softly, hugging him a little tighter.

“Would you like to cuddle in bed now, love?” Shouto said softly, right against his ear. Katsuki shivered a little bit as he felt Shouto’s breath against him, but he agreed. The three stood up and went over to their bedroom, plopping down on the large bed they shared. Of course Katsuki had to be in the middle, and of course they had to cling to him, cuddling him and kissing him.

“I love you two idiots, and I can't explain how happy I am to be with you,” Katsuki said as he closed his eyes. Shouto and Izuku looked to each other before smiling a little. Izuku then began kissing Katsuki’s neck and cheek, while Shouto wrapped himself around the blond’s waist.

  “We love you more, Kacchan.”
