Work Text:
Jeongguk was never particularly good with handling stress, nor was he good at handling that devil of emotion jealousy.
He’s one of the easiest people to get jealous that he knows and he absolutely hates it. He hates feeling so insecure about himself when he sees or knows that Yoongi is around much more prettier women and handsome men.
He hates it even more when there’s nothing he can do about it because of his stupid college classes that he has to take while his handsome and very successful producer of a boyfriend is off at banquets and award shows.
He’ll sometimes take Jeongguk with him as a reward for being a good boy and getting good grades, but that was rare and Jeongguk is craving a reward as of now.
Jeongguk was studying his ass off for an English test the past few days, giving himself small breaks in between, meaning no Yoongi and Jeongguk time.
The test was finally over and Jeongguk couldn’t be happier, giving his brain a break from the other language.
Once he found himself in the safety of his car- the one Yoongi had bought him, his custom painted baby blue Bugatti Chiron, he let out a sigh of relief and placed his head against the steering wheel, closing his eyes to just rest for the first time in what felt like weeks. It’s only been a couple of days.
He just wanted to get to Yoongi’s penthouse, get into more comfortable clothes, and cuddle with Yoongi if he was home. Well, his clothes are comfortable right now as he’s in a hoodie and sweatpants, but he’d rather be in one of Yoongi’s shirts and his own shorts.
Jeongguk is quick to start the car after resting for a few moments and pulling out of the colleges parking lot.
Jeongguk punches in the code to Yoongi’s penthouse-Jungkook’s birthday- and lets out a small yip in content when it opens and he pushes himself into it.
The first thing Jeongguk gets is a push down to the ground and a lapful of fur and a whole lot of licks to the face.
“Ah~! Guys,” Jeongguk giggled trying to push the dogs down at least enough so that he can get up off the floor and close the door.
“Is daddy home, boys?” Jeongguk questions once he closes the door and slips off his sneakers.
One of the dogs, Holly, let out a long whine, which made it clear to Jeongguk that Yoongi was not home, which put a small frown on his face.
“Well, that just means I’ll cuddle you instead,” Jeongguk grins and runs to the bedroom, the two dogs running after him.
Yoongi’s two dogs are named Ace and Holly. Holly is a poodle mix, on the smaller side while Ace is a German Shepherd who was trained as a police dog but is very sweet when you get to know him.
Jeongguk goes to Yoongi’s side of the large closet and grabs one of his short-sleeved shirts, and pulls his own sweatshirt over his head, replacing it with that.
Next, he slipped his sweatpants off and walked to his side of the closet that was a pretty big contrast from Yoongi’s, his having a variety of different colors, types of clothing including skirts, tights, crop tops while Yoongi’s consisted of neutral colors and your normal male clothing.
Jeongguk picked out his favorite pair of shorts which were velvety to the touch and pink in color.
He slipped those up his legs and once they were on he threw his dirty clothes into the hamper. He also grabbed a pair of pink fluffy socks.
“Come on boys, let’s watch some TV, hm?” Jeongguk cooed at the two dogs who were patiently waiting beside the closets doors.
Jeongguk sauntered out of the master bedroom, fluffy socks making him slide across the hardwood.
Before sitting down and getting comfortable, Jeongguk runs to the kitchen and takes out his favorite ice cream flavor-that Yoongi stocks up on all the time because he knows Jeongguk loves it- and a big spoon, not bothering to use a bowl.
When Jeongguk’s satisfied with what he has, he clicks his tongue, ensuing in the two dogs following after him into the living area where he sits on the big, comfortable white leather couch.
Ace jumps onto the couch beside Jeongguk, resting his face on Jeongguk’s thigh, while Holly takes residence on Jeongguk’s legs which were rested on the coffee table in front of him.
Jeongguk takes a couple of bites of his ice-cream, running his fingers through Ace’s short fur for a few moments, the dog lifting his face up to lick at Jeongguk’s hand, a laugh escaping the male’s lips.
Jeongguk grabs the remote and turns the flat-screen TV on, flicking through many things uninterestedly until something catches his eye.
Min Yoongi. His Min Yoongi. And a woman. A pretty one at that, Yoongi’s arm around her slim waist, as he discusses with the interviewer his next plans as a producer.
Don’t you dare get jealous, Jeon Jeongguk. He has to do stuff like this. Has to have arm candy when he’s out and about and if Jeongguk’s not available then... then he has to get someone else. He also likes the company. Yoongi has always hated things like banquets.
Usually, Yoongi would bring, if Jeongguk couldn’t go, Jeongguk’s friend, Jimin, because Jeongguk trusts Jimin. And Yoongi, obviously. And Jimin only agrees to go because he gets free food.
Jimin must’ve been busy, then. His thoughts are broken when he notices the woman plant a kiss on Yoongi’s cheek, saying something about ‘how proud she is of him.’
The woman’s definitely not apart of Yoongi’s family, Jeongguk’s met them all.
Whatever, Jeongguk, it’s okay because Yoongi loves you and... he’d never do that to you.
Jeongguk nods to himself, looking back at the TV, realizing they’re asking Yoongi another question.
“Producer Min, you have usually brought a boy with you to banquets. What has changed?”
Jeongguk sits up straighter, making sure he hears everything clearly. “Ah, he wasn’t able to come tonight, is all.”
Jeongguk could tell that the answer was finished and he hoped that the interviewer caught on too because Yoongi absolutely hates when people assume he’s going to continue speaking on a matter that he doesn’t want to.
A smile slips onto Jeongguk’s lips as the interviewer thanks Yoongi for answering all of his questions and they’re interviewing someone else.
Jeongguk can finally feel the endless studying and work catching up to him as his eyelids droop a bit. He almost forgets that he has the tub of ice-cream in his hands, so as quickly as he can, he closes it and gets up, putting it back in the freezer.
When everything’s put away, he joins the two dogs back on the couch, moving Holly so that he’s on Jeongguk’s stomach, and Ace is at the end of the couch by Jeongguk’s legs.
Jeongguk easily falls asleep like that.
----
When Yoongi walks into the penthouse, just like earlier with Jeongguk, Ace and Holly come bounding over.
Yoongi chuckles, “Hey boys.” Yoongi takes his shoes off, placing them besides Jeongguk’s beat-up sneakers. He reminds himself to buy the younger another pair.
Knowing Jeongguk was in the penthouse, he looked around for the younger, first checking their bedroom, then the living room, where Jeongguk was curled up on the couch.
A smile slips onto Yoongi’s lips and he heads toward the couch, taking off his blazer as he does so and sets it on the chair beside the couch.
He crouches in front of Jeongguk’s face, running his fingers through the youngers hair. He figures he should take a shower and get into more comfortable clothing so he does just that when he stands up, knowing Jeongguk most likely won’t wake for a while.
When Yoongi comes out of their bedroom, dressed and freshly showered, he goes into the living room once again to see that Jeongguk switched positions and is now almost falling off of the couch.
Yoongi grins at this, Jeongguk has always moved a lot in his sleep. So he doesn’t end up on the floor, Yoongi takes Jeongguk into his arms and walks into the bedroom, gently placing him onto the bed.
A hum escapes Jeongguk and he’s opening his eyes as Yoongi covers him with the blanket, “Hyung?”
“Hi baby,” Yoongi grins, crawling on the bed to plant a kiss on Jeongguk’s forehead.
“You didn’t tell me you had a banquet today,” Jeongguk frowns, looking up at the elder who’s propped against the headboard and running his fingers through his hair.
“I didn’t want you to think you had to drop everything and go with me, because knowing you you’d definitely do that and I want you to be successful and stay in school.”
“B-but you didn’t even ask Jimin?” Jeongguk questions. Jeongguk was definitely tired, even though he took a small nap. When he gets tired, and I mean extremely tired, he’s whiny and more sensitive.
“Jimin was busy, baby. Like you, he’s a college student, remember? He needs his studies.”
“I came home and all I wanted to do was... was cuddle but you weren’t home,” Jeongguk pouts, burying his face into Yoongi’s chest.
“Aw, I’m sorry baby. But I’m here now and we can cuddle as much as you want,” Yoongi promises.
“Who was that girl then?”
“Just a friend of Suran’s. She got a little too drunk and Suran dumped her on me. It was her first banquet,” Yoongi assured.
“Promise?”
“Yes baby, promise. I wouldn’t even dream of leaving you and if I did it’d be a fucking nightmare. Couldn’t live without my baby boy,” Yoongi says and sits up, pulling Jeongguk onto his lap.
Jeongguk giggles, his cheeks a pretty red, “Really?”
“Really. I love you so much, Jeongguk.”
“I love you too, Yoongi hyung. I.. got kind of jealous,” Jeongguk smiles sheepishly.
“I’m all yours baby boy, there’s nothing to be jealous of.” Yoongi leans into peck Jeongguk’s lips, but the younger wanted more.
So, when Yoongi goes to pull away, Jeongguk tangles his hands in his hair, kissing him with all his might.
When they break apart for air, Jeongguk places his hands on Yoongi’s chest, Yoongi’s hands finding home on Jeongguk’s waist.
“You’re my everything, Jeongguk. And I mean it.”
