The phoenix was lured by the sandalwood scent, but the beauty of this courtyard has his full attention now. Wei Wuxian decides against flying around instead deciding to hop all around while causally taking in the sight. There is a pond full of lotus, fish, and ah even a baby turtle.
“Be grateful I’m not taking on a human form otherwise little bitty turtle I would make a soup out of you.” Wei Wuxian commented in a taunting voice and the baby turtle seemed like it could understand the phoenix’s comment perfectly. He did not notice his every moment was being watched by someone for Wei Wuxian wasn’t on guard and having a lot of fun exploring this gorgeous courtyard.
“I wonder if this courtyard belongs to a high-class concubine or ah perhaps to an Emperor, but hmm if it belonged to the Emperor wouldn’t this be very well guarded?” Wei Wuxian wondered out loud and the phoenix looking very thoughtful. “I wonder this palace has an Empress? I don’t know much about royalty lines or anything.”
Several nets were casted at the distracted phoenix and he got all tangled up in them. Wei Wuxian struggles, his wings are hurting a lot, and this is the first-time humans have dared to try to capture him. Of course he had always been on guard, but this time so distracted and thoughtful by this alluring courtyard.
Wei Wuxian shifts from his original form and taking on a human form. Perhaps he can fool them into letting him go or at least be unable to untangle himself from these blasted nets!
“I’m not a phoenix! See I’m clearly human!” Wei Wuxian called out and his human form is completely naked. He has not mastered the art of transforming into a human form with clothing for rarely ever does the phoenix take on a human form due to his love of flying all around. There was pure silence in the courtyard.
“Look I have arms, legs, and everything! I have a human dick and look at me a completely normal human man! Please let this one go! I will never return here ever again!” Wei Wuxian voice sounding pitiful, pleading, and he was half-way done untangling himself. The phoenix kept begging and not paying attention to his surroundings while working on the annoying nets.
“Ha, ha, ha. Finally free!” Wei Wuxian exclaimed happily and then noticed there are several bodies. All of them without heads. He gulped for when did this happen and the phoenix saw a young man wearing dragon robes which means that young man is Emperor. The Emperor is holding a blood-stained sword which heavily implies he had been the one to behead all of these humans.
Wei Wuxian stares with wide eyes and then recalls why he had been lured here it was due to the smell of sandalwood. The Emperor smells like sandalwood.
“Long live the Emperor!” Wei Wuxian said loudly while going to his knees and eyes looking down. He felt something being placed on his shoulders, he was being pulled up, and why is the Emperor suddenly hugging him? Wei Wuxian felt something going around his neck and he tries to tug off the thin golden necklace, but it refused to come off along with feeling a bit of pain in his fingers from attempting to take it off.
“You can call me Lan Zhan. You shall become my Empress.” The Emperor declared and he firmly keeps the other in his arms. Wei Wuxian eyes widen, lips parted, and completely confused at this entire situation.
“You don’t even know me! You don’t even know my name!” Wei Wuxian said loudly and he found himself unable to transform into his original form. “If you know my names then this phoenix will willingly become your Empress.”
“Mark your words.” The Emperor voice sounding serious and Wei Wuxian nodded his head. The phoenix had never told his name to a human ever in his entire life and the chances of this Emperor knowing it is impossible.
“Wei Ying. Wei Wuxian.” The Emperor said in a low voice and the phoenix wished that he could take his words along with that nod in agreement to that ‘Mark your words’. How does this Emperor know his names?! How is it even possible?
“How do you know?” Wei Wuxian asked him and he received a faint smile which was so beautiful that the phoenix was left in a complete daze for hours by that gorgeous smile from the Emperor. When his mind came back he was wearing red robes, holding hands with the Emperor, and.....Wei Wuxian was amazed in how such a short period of time the Emperor was able to have a grand wedding held. Not to mention it is the very early hours of the morning and he felt very impressed by the Emperor feels a bit unreal to be honest.
"Long live the Emperor and his Empress!" The loud cries of countless people. Wei Wuxian could only blankly stare out into the crowd and he used his other hand to pinch his left cheek. It hurts thus ah this is reality. He has always been single and never had a partner in his entire life. Wei Wuxian glanced up at the sky, there is only one cloud in the sky, and he wished that it would rain. Perhaps a bit of water might wake him up. To think this all happened just because he was lured by sandalwood and now he is married to the one with that sandalwood scent.
"How do humans even have sex?" Wei Wuxian questioned in a low and thoughtful voice that was only heard by the Emperor.
