Chapter 1: Esidisi {Heat}

Chapter Text

The stone beneath my feet was so cold it almost hurt. I couldn't believe how ridiculously algid the ruin could get during the winter. You'd think it'd be a little warmer as it was in South America. Well, part of it was underground I suppose.

I stalked the hallways in search of warmth. Esidisi had disappeared without notice and left me to die of hypothermia on the small bed I called my own. He had agreed to stay with me after hours of pestering him. Now both he and all of my blankets were gone. I saw a light in a room ahead and walked in. Torchlight cast a yellow glow on the small room. Inside was an old hearth and anvil. Not what I was looking for.

"Dammit," I muttered quietly to myself. I shivered and rubbed my arms. I hate ruins and winter and Esidisi. I walked around for a while more until it started to get warmer. The air around me was not as stiff and frigid. I nearly ran ahead until I reached a large room that we had made the living room. It's about to be the not-so-living room because a certain pillar man is about to get his ass kicked. I turned the corner to see him sitting in his normal spot on the couch covered in my blankets. Why would he need my blankets? He can literally boil his blood. I felt my face redden with anger and he looked up at me.

"Esidisi, What the hell?" I yelled.

He looked at me with a soft expression. What the hell? He never looks at anyone like that. What is he planning? I approached the couch and stared at him with contempt. He looked at me calmly and radiated more heat. It was so warm and I was still standing several feet away from him. I wondered what it would feel like to sit with him. My body ached for the heat but I stood my ground.

"Well?" He asked calmly. I doubted his intentions; He was being hella suspicious. Eventually, I sighed and fell onto the couch next to him. He held up a blanket and I laid down underneath it. It was so perfectly warm I nearly fell asleep right away. I turned and made a small opening just big enough to see his face. He was simply staring into space, not paying any attention to me. I reached up and poked his cheek. He looked down at me and smiled smugly. Fuck. I knew something was up. I tried to sit up but he restrained me. The heat made me too tired to resist.

"Esidisi," I said in a long drawl. I stretched further into his lap and looked up at him. He simply placed his arm on my side put his head in his hand. He looked out and completely disregarded my existence. I knew he had some motive for whatever he was doing and I didn't know if I wanted to find out what it was. I found myself going in and out of consciousness as I further melted into his lap. Finally, I sat up and pulled the blanket around me. I repositioned myself and leaned against his chest. His skin was hot to the touch and I winced, pulling away quickly. He adjusted his arm around my waist and silently lowered his temperature. He used his other hand to brush my hair out my face and tuck it behind my ear. I stared at him incredulously and leaned back onto his chest. He was still warm but at least it was tolerable. I found myself falling asleep again. This time I welcomed it and nuzzled further into Esidisi. After a few minutes silence he looked down at me with another smug grin.

"I win this time," he said quietly. That smug bastard. I finally understood his damn game. He got me to wander this cold stone temple for half an hour just to fall asleep on him. At least I finally knew what shenanigans he was planning earlier.

Chapter 2: Esidisi {Blankets}

Esidisi is the perfect heater

Chapter Text

   You huddled in the corner of a dark room covered in blankets. Though you were very warm, you still shivered uncontrollably as broken sobs wracked your body. You wiped your eyes and tried to steady your breathing. You had been in that corner for a good ten minutes but you doubted that anyone had noticed your disappearance. Your last thought was punctuated with another sob. Your eyes burned and your breathing went awry again. Usually you would have a good cry every few weeks whenever your anxiety got bad but it was never like this. As you further despaired you heard heavy footsteps in the corridor outside of the room. You held your breath and shuddered as the footsteps grew closer.

You looked up from your pile of blankets to see a large figure in the doorway. You watched in increasing fear as he walked towards you. As he got closer you began to recognize him in the dull light. Esidisi looked down on your pitiful huddle of blankets. You couldn't quite make out his expression through your tears. He crouched beside you. You flinched as he reached towards your face. He touched your cheek softly and wiped your tears away. He pulled his hand back and considered you for a moment. You watched in silence as he peeled your blankets away. You were too tired to struggle and turned away whenever he would try to catch your eye. When he had finally managed to get you out of your burrow, he looked at you softly and picked you up. He had done it so quickly you didn't realize it until you were in his arms. He was so warm. He looked at you with concern and you started sobbing again.

"(Y/N)," he said shortly. It sounded more like a question than a statement. His eyes showed increasing worry as he looked down at you. You steadied your breathing and closed your eyes. Tears hung to your eyelashes and you felt Esidisi start walking. He walked for a while, gradually heating up. Finally, he stopped and set you down on something soft. You shivered at the loss of heat. Esidisi sat cross-legged behind you and pulled you into his lap. Your small frame fit perfectly inside of his and you nuzzled into his warmth. Esidisi pulled over a thick blanket and laid it over you. Soon enough the tears ceased and your anxiety melted away. Esidisi looked down at you and brushed a couple stray hairs out of your face, gingerly tucking them behind your ear. He gave you a soft look and closed his eyes. You eventually fell asleep in his arms, savoring the warmth he provided.

Notes:

Now we're getting there! Who doesn't love a little comfort?

Chapter 3: Kars {Worry}

Summary:

Kars helps his favorite human unwind

Notes:

This one is a little like blankets but with everyone's fave purple haired pillar man

Chapter Text

You were curled in a ball in the corner of a small room. You tried to tuck yourself as far into the corner as you could. Shivering uncontrollably, your mind left you. Instead, you were stuck on one or two thoughts, analyzing and overthinking, your imagination running wild. Usually, your anxiety wasn't this bad, but you had hit a sudden strike. You felt hopeless, scared, and abandoned. You were worried that they had left you, forever.

It didn't help that you were all alone in the temple you called home. The pillarmen generally stayed at the temple and didn't go out much but they had left to go searching for something. You had only caught a little bit of their conversation before they left. They hadn't even thought to tell you why. They didn't tell you at all.

You tried to stand but your legs failed you as you fell back to the ground. You bruised your knees on the cold, hard stone. You let out a quiet sob and backed up against the wall. You pulled your knees to your chest and curled up once more. Hot tears burned in your eyes until you eventually fell asleep in your corner.

----

You awoke to a soft touch on your shoulder. You looked up to meet striking purple eyes. His expression was his usual stone glare with a small bit of concern hidden behind it. His hand moved to grip your arm as he pulled you up. You tried again to stand and stumbled a bit. Kars put an arm on your side to support you and pulled you closer. You looked at the ground and tried to gain stable footing. When you looked back up, Kars had a strange expression on his face. He took your hand and looked away from you. He lead you out of the small room and down some corridors before coming across a large, warm room. In the middle of the room was a bed with silk sheets and many pillows. You suddenly realized that it must be Kars's room.

"(Y/N)," he said in a worried tone. His tone of voice surprised you. He usually only spoke in cold phrases;  especially when speaking to you. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"O-of course, master Kars," you said in a small voice; it was almost to quiet for you to hear. He simply picked you up and placed you on the plush bed. You returned to the same position you were in earlier and waited anxiously for whatever was about to happen. Kars laid behind you and lounged on the large bed. You felt him tug at the ends of your long (H/C) hair. You gave in and laid back on the soft bed, pulled your hair from under you. You turned away from Kars and he gently ran his fingers through your hair. The sensation was surprising but calming at the same time. You leaned back into Kars's touch and closed your eyes.

"(Y/N)," you were brought back to reality by Kars's voice, "We would never abandon you." You smiled and drifted off to sleep with a feeling of safety.  -

Chapter 4: Kars {Earth}

Summary:

Your master says something surprising

Notes:

This one is a little short, but don't worry, they get longer!

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

"I love this planet." You heard the soft mutter from beside you as you sat in a small lagoon, looking out on the horizon on a forgotten beach in South America.

"M-master Kars?" You questioned. Surely you imagined what you had just heard. You looked at your master, the setting sun cast an orange glow on his serene face. His expression was sincere as he watched twilight take over the sky. He turned and faced you, his piercing violet eyes staring right through you.

"Human, what did I say?" Your heart stopped in your chest.

"Don't speak, unless spoken to," You said quietly. You could barely hear your own voice. He narrowed his eyes and considered you for a moment before sighing and leaning back in the cold sand. He was acting extremely strange. You considered speaking up again but decided against it. You readjusted so you sat with your knees pulled to your chest. You ran your fingers through the white sand as the sky continued to darken. After a few minutes of silence, you finally worked up the courage to speak.

"It's a shame," you said tentatively. No response. "Humans seem to destroy everything they touch. They know it's wrong and they pretend to care, but they never do anything," you continued.

"We're killing our home," you added quietly. You glanced at Kars and saw your master looking right back at you. His blank glare sent shivers up your spine.

"Maybe we can fix it." Once again, you couldn't believe what you had heard. Kars stood, his hair flowing gently in the ocean air. He offered you his hand, a thing he hadn't done in a long time. You accepted it and stood with him, facing the god-like being.

A swift breeze came in from the ocean, the salty air filled your lungs.

"We could fix it together."

Notes:

I think this is one of my favorites :3

Chapter 5: Wamuu {Peanut Butter}

Summary:

Wamuu is curious about your recent activities.

Notes:

Who else loves PB&J's?

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

You stood in the large room you had made a kitchen slicing bread. That's right, you had to make and slice your own bread. You placed the slices in a neat pile as you made your way to the end of the loaf.

Somewhere above you, you could hear Wamuu battling away with someone, probably Esidisi. You ignored the noise and looked around for some peanut butter and jelly. You walked around the kitchen in search of the ingredients when you stumbled upon a cabinet you hadn't checked in a while. You cautiously pulled it open, inside was the largest amount of peanut butter you had ever seen.

"Wow," you muttered quietly.  You pulled out a jar and opened the lid. The seal was still there, so you broke it. Wondering if it was still good, you stuck your finger in the smooth top and tried a bit of the substance. It tasted fine. "Lit," you said quietly.

You were so absorbed in your sandwich making that you almost didn't notice the noise above you had gone away. Once you had finished the loaf you had about 7 sandwiches.

"What are those?" You jumped at the sound of a deep voice behind you. You quickly picked up your knife and turned around.

"W-wamuu?" You looked up at him.  You couldn't help but smile at his child-like expression of curiosity. He stood next to you and picked up a sandwich. "Oh, those are sandwiches."

"Sand-witches?" he eyed it carefully.

"Well, no. Here." You took the sandwich from his hand and cut it into four triangles. You put a triangle in his hand and watched him.

"What do I do with this?" he asked innocently. God, he was just a little baby. You couldn't help but laugh a little at his naivete.

"You eat it silly." You smiled and took a bite out of one of the sandwiches. He tentatively did the same. His face recoiled in disgust and he spit out the small piece. "WHAM?!"

"How do you humans eat this?" he asked as he set down the triangle of sandwich. You crossed your arms and pouted, giving him a look of contempt. He saw your expression and his softened. "(Y/N)." He said your name with such gentility you thought you were going to die.  You set down the knife.

"I'm just kidding, it's fine." You took another bite of your sandwich and he cringed ever so slightly. You giggled inwardly at the gesture and filled your arms with the remaining sandwiches. You stalked out of the room and down the hallway, Wamuu following at your heels.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"I'm not sure yet. We'll see when we get there," you replied simply. You walked the temple for a good few minutes before coming across an empty room. There were a few cushions and empty sconces along the walls. You found torches and called Wamuu to light them and put them in the sconces.

You sat down on a large cushion and laid out your sandwiches on your lap, careful not to get peanut butter and jelly on your clothes, which were very similar to the Pillarmens'. Wamuu watched you curiously from the other end of the room. You smiled and patted the stop next to you. He came to you and he walked to your side. He sat down cross-legged behind you and abruptly pulled you into his lap. You let out a small yelp of surprise when he wrapped his arms around your waist.

"W-wamuu?" You said tentatively. He hummed in response and played with your hair, arms still wrapped around you. Is he cuddling with me? You thought. You assumed that the answer must be yes and decided to just enjoy the moment with your two favorite things: Sandwiches and cuddles. You picked up a sandwich and took a few bites, eating contentedly as you rested against the man behind you.

"What's that?" he asked. He pointed to the small bit of peanut butter that was on your finger.

"Oh, that's peanut butter," you explained simply. You leaned forwards and turned around. "Try some." You opened the sandwich and took his hand, dipping his finger in the butter. He looked at you questioningly before trying it. You waited in silence for his response.

"This is Peanut Butter?" he asked. You nodded your head 'yes' and took another bite. He reached over and took a sandwich from your lap, opening it to take the filling from inside. You laughed as he licked the peanut butter from the sandwich and he smiled ever so slightly. You decided then that you would do anything for that smile, even sacrifice your favorite peanut butter.

Notes:

I'd die for this honestly lol

Chapter 6: Esidisi {First Impressions}

Summary:

You meet Esidisi for the first time

Notes:

You're pretty short in this one, around 5'2" - 5'4". Esidisi is about 6'7".

Chapter Text

 Dust kicked up into small clouds as you ran through the empty corridor. Your footsteps barely echoed on the cold stone as the pads of your feet rolled off the ground. You kept your breaths quiet and controlled, careful not to be loud. Your legs ached and burned from running but you didn't stop, you couldn't.

Suddenly you were facing a large stone wall. It was a dead end, you were done for. There was a tiny opening in a corner, just big enough for a small child to fit in. It was much too small for you, but you tried to squeeze against the crack, hoping you could at least hide. You heard footsteps coming towards you and knew yo were running out of time. The footsteps grew nearer and you nearly lost control of your breathing. You huddled in a corner, trying to be as small as possible. You turned your back to the corridor and the footsteps stopped. They continued, slowly.

They were about ten feet away, nine, eight. Soon you could hear soft humming from behind you. Seven, six, five. You knew it could see you. You had nothing left, this was where you were going to die. Four, three, two. One.

The humming stopped. The silence was thick enough to cut as you choked back a sob. You stopped breathing and held your knees tightly to your chest. You heard it move and felt a large hand on your side. You took a sharp breath as another held you from your other side. You were picked up like a limp doll. The arms that held you were strong yet gentle, like the owner was scared you could break. You dared not breathe or make a single sound. It placed you back on the ground and made you stand. Your legs shook, barely supporting you. You were turned by a strong grip on your shoulder and faced your pursuer.

It was a man. He was large with lots of muscle and at least six feet tall. His body was defined by sharp angles and deep grooves. He crouched before you and looked into your eyes. His face was like a sculpture, masterfully carved to the very last angle. His eyes were cold and piercing. He wore a headdress of orange and purple with large stones in the middle. His face was marked with an orange X, like a railway crossing sign. His gray hair stuck out behind him like a stray cloud. His eyes showed curiosity but we're still slightly hostile. You tried to back away but you were paralyzed by fear.

He mumbled something under his breath as you cowered beneath his gaze. You gasped as he placed a rough hand on your jaw. He rubbed your cheek with his thumb, his eyes narrowed as he stared at you. You could feel him reading you with his piercing glare.

"You're just a child," he mused, "But why are you so small?" You felt tears well up in your eyes. He pulled his hand away quickly as you began to cry, as if you had somehow burned him. Before you could fall to your knees, he held you gingerly by your waist. He stood at his full height, pulling you up with him. You simply stretched out like a cat (become one with the noodle) and hung limply in his arms. He held you at eye level and watched as you continued to cry without making a sound. "Why do you cry?" he asked abruptly. You looked up at him, meeting his blue eyes. You simply shook your head, not being able to produce words. He frowned and readjusted you in his arms so that he held you bridal style.

He walked with you for a while as your tears slowly ceased. He glanced down at you with curiosity and slight disdain. "You are a curious little thing," he said softly as he turned another corner. He walked in silence for a minute before asking, "Can't you speak?" You had so many questions you wanted to ask but your voice would not cooperate. You sighed and shook your head 'no'.  He pursed his lips and looked ahead. He shifted you in his arms so that you further leaned against him. You were tired and all of your muscles ached, so you decided to take advantage of his heat and the rhythm of his walking as you drifted to sleep against his chest.

Chapter 7: Esidisi {Jokes}

Summary:

You tell some not-so-witty puns

Notes:

This ones a little short but I like it

Chapter Text

  You lounged on the large sofa practically sprawled over Esidisi's lap. It wasn't your greatest idea ever, seeing as it was a sweltering hot day and Esidisi is usually very warm. You flipped through the ancient books soft pages and hummed lightly. Suddenly, you had a great idea.

"Hey Esidisi," you said softly. He looked down at you in response. "What do you call a bee that gives you milk?"

"What? Bee's don't give milk, that ridiculous."

"Esidisi come on. I guess you're right though." You put down the book and thought of your other awful puns. "How about this one. After an explosion at a French cheese factory," you paused for dramatic effect, "all that was left was De Brie." You got no response from him, only a confused glare.

"Of course there was debris, it was an explosion."

"Esidisi, you don't get it," you groaned. You didn't want to explain the joke as it would only ruin it further. "Well, here. Did you hear about the red and blue ship that collided?"

"No?"

"Both crews were marooned!" He furrowed his brow and stared at you. You sighed and sat up in his lap. "Do you even know what a joke is?" You asked in an exasperated tone.

"Of course I do," he scoffed. You crossed your arms.

"Oh really?"

"Yes, she's sitting in my lap."

Chapter 8: Santana {Paint Water}

Summary:

Santana finds you indulging in one of your favorite hobbies

Notes:

Finally some love for my favorite pillarman! <33
Warning: a little ooc

Chapter Text

You sat alone on the large sofa that you had stolen with the other Pillarmen. You had just finished a painting and stood back to make sure it was alright. Now you were just sitting and watching the paint dry. Soon enough, you heard chatter and footsteps from nearby. Could they be back already? You moved to get up and hide the art but they had already arrived in the large room. You were surprised to see that only Santana had joined you. The others must have gone somewhere else.

"Ah, Santana, it's just you," you laughed nervously and stood in front of the drying canvas. You felt slightly relieved that it was just him.

"Hello, (Y/N)," he greeted you simply. He looked at you curiously and narrowed his eyes. "What's that?"

"Nothing really, nothing you should concern yourself with." You quickly picked it up and flipped it around, so that Santana could not see what you had painted. You smiled sheepishly at him and he walked towards you. He inspected the room when he found the small bag you had used for your brushes and paints. There were a few stray brushes on the floor around it. Dammit, I thought I cleaned those up. He looked over at the small cup you used to clean your brushes, averting his eyes from your direction. You used the small opportunity to place the painting against the wall behind a curtain before quickly picking up your supplies. When Santana turned back to face you, you had the bag and various items that had fallen out of it in your arms.

"What is this?" He asked, holding up the cup. "Why do you have those?" You set the bag and things down in a corner of the room.

"No real reason... I, uh... found them." You said nervously. "Oh, that's-" You couldn't just call it paint water; he would ask about the paint. "Water."

"(Y/N), why do you keep hiding things?" He set the cup down on the floor and walked over to your painting, pulling it out from behind the curtain.

"Ah, Santana, please don't!" You squeaked when he turned it around, revealing your art. It was a detailed oil painting of a lake at twilight. Short mountains rose around the deep waters and a figure stood on the shore. A red moon hung in the sky and cast an orange glow on the water. You usually worked with acrylics, but you had found the oil paints on a recent trip you had made. You liked how it turned out, but you had never planned on showing it to anyone. Not even your favorite companion. You tried to reach out and take the canvas, but Santana just grabbed your hand and continued to stare at the painting. Tears began to well in your eyes, you could only imagine what he thought of it.

"This is... Be-a-u-t-iful. Beautiful." His voice was soft and sincere. His grip on your hand loosened as he turned to you with a look of curiosity. "How did you make this?" His words gave you confidence as you responded.

"I painted it." You glanced down at the floor before looking at him again. "Santana, do you want to paint with me?"

"Yes!" Santana leaned the painting against the wall and you retrieved your supplies. You sat down on the floor with him and pulled two fresh canvases out from under the couch (classy hiding spot right?). They were small and had cardboard backing instead of a wooden frame.

"I have oils, acrylics, and watercolor. Which one do you want to use?" You asked him. He furrowed his brow and pouted ever so slightly. You loved that expression so much. He used it whenever he was puzzled and it was too cute! "Ah, well. How about we start with acrylics." You pulled out a couple palettes and brushes. You opened the bag to reveal your well-sized paint collection.

"I like this one," he said as he pointed to a deep purple. "It reminds me of Master Kars." You couldn't help but giggle a little bit at his statement.

"I guess it does." You took out the purple and put a little bit on Santana's palette. You spent about 10 minutes choosing colors until the both of you had all the colors you wanted.

"Um (Y/N), what am I supposed to paint?"

"Oh. Just, paint your favorite thing."

You stared blankly at the canvas, trying to find some inspiration while Santana had already started. You watched his strokes, trying to figure out what he was painting. It didn't look like anything you had ever seen. You set your brush down and watched him paint, putting stroke after perfect stroke on the canvas. Soon a form started to take shape.

"Santana, what are you painting?" you asked quietly. He put down a few more layers and stepped away. It was complete, the most beautiful portrait you had ever seen. It was a portrait of you. He blushed lightly, something you had never seen before.

"You said to paint my favorite thing. I made my favorite human." He answered innocently. You felt your eyes tear up and you crouched before your canvas, hiding your face in embarrassment. "(Y/N)!" He leaned down and picked you up like a pillow. You must've been weightless to him.

"Am I really your favorite?"

"Of course."

Chapter 9: Esidisi {Cycle}

Summary:

Esidisi is very possessive

Notes:

Warning, a little bit of gore

Chapter Text

You walked around the temple in your usual attire, which really wasn't much (basically what the pillar men wore), and thought about something to do. It was abnormally hot for a late fall day and you were bored out of your mind. You couldn't stand being cooped up in the temple all day but you were forced to stay there by your captor, Esidisi.
Things with Esidisi had started out great, as they did with all of the pillar men. However, over time, Esidisi became much more possessive of you. He kept you away from the other men and locked up in specific parts of the ruin. Sometimes he wouldn't let you leave a certain room for days.
Today was one of those days. Esidisi had found you chatting with a young man in a village near by and had locked you in a small room deep in the temple. You couldn't even begin to imagine what he had done to the poor boy.
You had somehow managed to escape while the pillar men were out (doing god knows what) and tried to find a way out of the labyrinthine area he had sealed you away in.
"Dammit Esidisi," you cursed under your breath. You turned a corner, then another and another. The walls were nearly identical and there were no real landmarks you could base yourself off of. Your feet began to hurt and your stomach growled fiercely.
-------------
After what seemed like hours of walking, you finally made it somewhere. You came across a large door. It was wooden with brass hinges and many, many locks. Some of them looked new.
"Esidisi," you whined in a long drawl.
"You called?" You heard a deep voice from behind you. You felt a warm hand grab your waist from behind and a light touch on your jaw.
"Ah, Esidisi, hey what a coincidence!" You said nervously. You would be lying if you said you weren't scared of him. He pulled you closer, his warmth surging through the air. You tried to struggle against him but his hold on you was too strong.
"Human," Oh shit, here it comes, "I thought I told you to stay put." He punctuated the phrase by heating up until his touch burned you. You winced as he pushed his hand into the bare skin on your stomach. "Now tell me, what were you doing?" He moved the hand on your jaw to your shoulder as he stood behind you.
"I-I got hungry," you stammered. It wasn't a complete lie. "I wanted to look for food..." He simply heated up even more. "M-master! Master Esidisi. I went to look for food." He cooled down a little bit, but your stomach and shoulder still burned. You didn't want to look, as you could feel your skin bubble. Tears stung your eyes as you tried not to cry out in pain.
"Is that all?" he asked. His voice was smooth, calm, and somewhat soothing. You shuddered as he heated up again. This time you couldn't stop your voice as you cried out.
"YES THAT WAS ALL!" you nearly screamed. He rapidly boiled his blood to the point you could feel your flesh melting at his touch. After less than a second, hr cut almost all heat from his hands.Tears streamed down your cheeks as Esidisi removed his hands from you. You could feel the skin peeling from your abdomen and looked down to see your master's hand covered in blood and a think layer of... skin? You tried to suppress a sob but failed as your entire body winced at the pain. Your entire body shook as you slowly began to loose feeling. The last thing you remember was falling back into the muscular arms of your captor as everything went blank.

Chapter 10: Santana {Stay}

Summary:

Santana is quite persuasive

Notes:

I love Santana so much! I just wanna curl up in his lap and give him a little smooch
Btw, this chapter is super short but sweet ^w^

Chapter Text

Santana nuzzled his face into your neck. His soft breathing made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. You shifted away from him slightly, but he persisted. His lips brushed against the back of your neck.

"No," he murmured, "don't leave." You shiver. You leaned forwards and tried to turn around but he wrapped his arms around your waist, restraining you.

"Santana," you whispered, almost scared to say his name out loud though you didn't know why. He hummed in response, you could feel his low voice resonating through your bones. "Santana," you whimper, "please, I have somewhere to be."

"Yes, you are supposed to be right here," Santana retorted. He moved his head to the crook of your neck and hugged you tighter. You melted into his arms despite your prior efforts. He loosened his grip as he felt you lean into the embrace.

"I guess I could be a little late."

Chapter 11: Kars {Captured}

Summary:

Kars doesn't want to let you go

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

You stalked the empty corridors trying not to awaken the pillarmen. Your footsteps echoed through the halls quietly. Suddenly, torchlight flooded the hall as you saw a figure turn the corner before you.

Oh fuck, Kars.

You tried to shrink against the wall but it was too late, he had already seen you. You caught his gaze and slowly sidled back down the hallway. He approached you with a knowing glare.

"H-hi, how are ya?" You asked shakily. You had to support yourself on the wall as he crossed the space between you in two strides. He leaned down to your height, narrowing his eyes as he did so.

"Where do you think you're going, Human?" The last words were harsh, almost threatening. You swallowed hard, his deep purple eyes piercing into your soul. Your fingers twitched as you searched for an answer.

"I-i was," you stutter, "I need to leave." Kars sneered.

"Should I allow you to leave," he growled, "where would you be going?" Your whole form shook as he grew ever nearer.

"My aunt, uh, Sigourney Weaver is in the hospital and, um, she needs me," you lie. How deep of a hole did you intend to dig? Kars scoffed and shook his head. He hand clasped your jaw harshly, forcing you to look at him.

"If you intend to lie to me, at least put effort into making it believable," he said callously.

"K-kars, please-"

"Do Not address me that way." He pushed you back against the wall. You could feel his heat, he was far too close to you. He looked down at you with intense disdain before letting go of your jaw. He considered you for a moment before picking you up by your waist and hoisting you over his shoulder. Your body went limp out of shock ad you could feel him chuckle as he walked the corridor. He turned into a cold room and lit some torches, still carrying you all the while. You swallowed again when you realized he had brought you into a bedroom. The bed was a large four-poster with seemingly silk sheets.

"K-kars?" You barely had the breath to stutter out his name as he unceremoniously put you on the bed. You tried to back away but he already had you cornered. He loomed over you, his arms pinning your sides to the plush bed. His violet eyes burned into yours as he gave you an intense glare. He leaned over until his lips brushed your neck just below your ear.

"I'll make sure you never want to leave this place again. Do you understand?"

Chapter 12: Esidisi {Help}

Summary:

Esidisi could use a little help winding down, so you happily oblige

Notes:

A lot of these I co-wrote with my best friend, industrially_insecure <3

Chapter Text

10 minutes. It had been 10 minutes since Esidisi started crying. Normally, his tears would have subsided by now. His loud, obnoxious sobbing could be heard throughout the dusty temple. Poor baby, you thought to yourself. There was no doubt that he was extremely stressed.

You close your book. Time to investigate. You stand up from your position. As you left the study, you plucked the torch from the sconce on the wall. The sound of your feet was the only noise that you could hear, aside from Esidisi's soul-shattering whimpers and cries. You followed his sobs down the winding corridors.

You reached the door where his cries were the loudest. It had taken a few minutes, but you were finally there. You raise your fist and knock on the door gently.

"Master Esidisi?" You call softly. You were met with a loud, frightening sob. You sigh and open the old door.

Esidisi was curled up into a ball on a neglected bed. His entire form was shaking. You place the torch into the wall sconce before joining him on the bed. You touch his back lightly. To your surprise, he was cold.

"Master Esidisi? Is there anything I can do?" you ask. He continues to sob. You lay your head on his back and wrap your arms around his large torso. Why was he so cold?

Esidisi shifted around so that you were in his lap. He placed his chin on top of your head. You felt his tears drip on to your hair. You wondered what had put him into such a sad state. There wasn't much you could do if he wouldn't respond. Esidisi nuzzles into your hair. This little action made a distant memory come back to you. Then, you had an idea.

"Master Esidisi, can we play a game?" You ask innocently. Esidisi gives a soft grunt in response.

"Okay, here are the rules," you say, "I'll write letters on your back, and you have to tell me what I'm writing. Sound good?" Esidisi nods.

So, you start. Your fingers lightly trace the letters S-A-N-T-A-N-A on his back. You feel him shiver slightly. "Santana," Esidisi mumbles.

You start with random words, then it becomes phrases. Each time, Esidisi murmurs back the answer. You can feel his warmth returning gradually. His body isn't shaking anymore, which is good. You subconsciously begin to hum as he continues to answer correctly. Suddenly, you have an interesting idea. You think for a moment about the words, trying to see if you can translate the quote.

'Conquistar desde dentro'. You trace the words into his back and he responds in no less time than before.

"Conquer from within." You pull your hand away from him and he shivers at the loss of touch.

"You translated that?"

"Of course, it's not your first language, or am I wrong?" You splayed your hands on his back, guiding them over his dark skin to rest on his shoulders, pulling him into an embrace. He leaned into your touch and played with the ends of your hair.

"I suppose it is." He hummed lowly in response, wrapping his arms around you to pull you closer. You found that your breathing has synced with his as his chest rose and fell with steady rhythm. "Master Esidisi?" You said his name with quiet gentility.

"Yes, (Y/N)?" You shivered as your name left his lips. His tone was relaxed, relieved even. Your question seemed stupid now that you considered actually asking it.

"Have I helped at all?" He looked down at you and smiled softly before nuzzling into your hair once again. He chuckled and hugged you tight for just a moment.

"No, not at all," he replied in a sarcastic tone. He drew out the last couple words in a sigh and let go of you. You readjusted in his lap and leaned against his chest.

"Glad I could help."

Chapter 13: Pillarmen {Curiosity}

Summary:

This was a request for a friend!

Chapter Text

The three godly beings stalked the back-city streets, quietly taking out anyone that saw them. The leader turned down an alleyway and motioned for them to follow. They walked the alley for a few minutes, their footsteps the only thing breaking the silence until a new sound pierced the air. It sounded reminiscent of a yelp. They stopped and listened, discovering more sound under the silence.

It sounded like a low whimper, maybe one of a feline or a small dog. The sound could be traced to the back of a dumpster. The leader motioned for the others to stop and approached it quietly.

"Master Kars, what is it?" One asked in a dark voice.

"I'm not exactly sure," he answered. He peered around the dumpster and laid eyes on what appeared to be a young woman. She sat curled up in the small corner, hugging her knees to her chest tightly. Kars stiffened, she smelled human, yet she was not. There was a mix of several other scents tangled in hers.

He looked closer at the small form. She had a small, thin tail wrapped around her legs and slightly rounded cat ears. They were striped black and white, like her stain-dappled tail. Her head rested on her knees, her thick, black hair covering her face. One of the others swiftly joined him.

"What is this?" He asked in a deep tone. His voice was different from that of the others. The question echoed in Kars' head, a question he couldn't answer; not yet anyway. It was then the god took a very special interest in the small creature.

"I'm not sure. Esidisi, can you get Wamuu?" Kars responded. He crouched before it and lightly brushed her hair out of her face and behind her ear. The creature jumped at his touch, trying to stand and run away. Kars stood and gripped both of its arms firmly, causing it to whimper again. The soul-shattering cry of pain split the air and Kars loosened his grip.

He looked down at her, all she had was a short, black crop top and a short black skirt. Both items of clothing were in tatters and covered in stains. Bruises and small cuts covered her exposed skin. She was far too skinny with an hourglass-shaped figure. He looked up and met tear-filled eyes. She had small, almond-shaped, chocolate brown eyes lined with a dark coal. Her chocolate brown orbs shone with fear and... what was that? A little bit of defiance hid behind her mask of terror.

Kars smirked. This... thing was intriguing. He knew two things as he glanced back down at her wounds, he wanted to bring her back with them and heal her and, most of all, study her. He took his arms away from hers but kept her in the small corner. He turned to see Wamuu and Esidisi watching curiously. Kars backed away as Wamuu approached her small frame. She winced as he took off his cloak and wrapped it around her shoulders. He gingerly adjusted the cloak around her figure and looked down at her softly. She relaxed as she met his warm gaze, feeling slightly more comfortable in his hold. He pulled away slowly and Esidisi took his place, lightly picking her up in his arms. She squeaked at the sudden movement but melted into his arms.

The four moved on, the newest member of their party fast asleep in Esidisi's arms.

~~~
Sunlight softly broke over the mountains deep in the Chilean jungle. In the dense wood stood a chain of temples, each long forgotten by modern society. They stood solemnly on the crest of a hill, overlooking a broad valley. Deep inside one of these temples resided three godly beings, Kars, Esidisi, and Wamuu.
Kars watched closely as the small being began to stir. He had rescued her on a recent trip into the city. It was trivial, but he found a special interest in the strange hybrid.
"Esidisi," he called into the hall. The other pillar man soon appeared by his side.
"Yes, Kars?"
"She's waking." Esidisi sat beside the small creature where she lay on Kars's bed. He softly stroked her small, round ears. Her ears twitched at the touch and her tail began to sway. Esidisi brushed her cheek and pulled his hand away. She whimpered and reached out in a small gesture to grab his hand. She opened her eyes slowly and looked up at him. Her dark brown orbs were soon taken over by fear and surprise. She sat up and crawled away from the two men. Esidisi smirked and cooed, moving to close the space between them when Kars stopped him.
"Wait, Esidisi," he commanded. He reached over to her and she flinched at the movement. He reached towards her neck where there was a small black collar. Hanging from it was a purple tag that read 'KITTEN'.  When Kars met her gaze again it had softened. She seemed to have let her guard down. She leaned in and quickly touched the tip of his nose with her own. Her thin tail swished about behind her and Kars moved back. He stood and beckoned for her to do the same. She moved to the edge of the bed and took a couple tentative steps before standing. She looked over at Esidisi, who was still seated and reached out a hand. He smirked and took it, standing with her. Even after he stood, she kept her hand outstretched.
"What do you want?" He asked bluntly. She sighed and raised both of her arms, reaching upwards. Esidisi glared at her for a moment before realizing what she wanted. He picked her up, positioning her in his arms as he had the night they had taken her. "Are you mute?" She shook her head no.
"Then why don't you speak?" Kars inquired. She opened her mouth to respond but quickly closed it. Her eyes shown with pain when she looked back at him.
"I'll be punished," she said a whisper. Her voice sounded like it hadn't been used in a long time. Kars stepped toward Esidisi and Kitten, placing a gentle hand in her cheek.
"Don't worry, we won't hurt you."
Chapter 14: Kars {Towel Hats}
Summary:
Kars invites you to a bath
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
You sat in Kars's lap in a deep pool of water. His long, purple hair cascaded over your shoulders as you leaned against his chest. You had come across the small pool while exploring the jungle near the temple. You decided to come back later but Kars had followed you when you venture out, curious as to what you were doing. Thinking back on it, you were being pretty shady and avoiding the pillarmen. You reached up and played with a small lock of his hair, making ripples in the water. You watched them lazily as they gradually faded out.
"Kars," you sighed as you twirled his hair in your hand.
"Lord Kars. Yes, (Y/N)?" He said your name softly as he lazily wrapped his arms around you.
"Why did you follow me here?"
"I had an idea of where you were going and I wanted to join you, is that wrong?"
"Uh... no? How did you know where I was going?" You turned to face him and pressed your palms against his chest when he tried to pull you closer.
"I saw you leave this place earlier when I returned to the temple."
"Then why didn't you say anything? I thought I wasn't allowed out of the temple, why didn't you punish me?" Oh shit, did you really just say that out loud? You quickly shut your mouth and tried to escape Kars's embrace. He simply smirked and laughed softly.
"Keep this a secret and I won't." He sighed, "I can never get you away from the others." Wait, was he... Jealous? You looked up into his striking violet eyes, his gaze was unusually tender.
"Lord Kars," you began. He shushed you and pulled you to his chest, placing his chin on the top of your head.
After a while, you started thinking it would be a good time to leave and go back to the temple. You had no idea how long you had been gone for and you knew Esidisi would be interrogating you the moment you got back, especially if you returned with Kars. You wriggled out of his grasp and stood. Kars glared at you and placed his large hands on your hips. You felt mildly uncomfortable under his scrutinizing glare.
"Lord Kars, I think we should head back," you ventured. As you looked down at him you realized that his hair was wet. Well, of course it was you were just in the water with him. You had never seen him with wet hair before. With that realization came a new thought. Did he put his hair up to dry? That was a thing you would like to see. Kars sighed and stood as well, taking your hands in his.
"I suppose we should, it is getting rather late." He stepped out of the small pool and turned back to face you. Sirens went off in your head as you stood, quite conveniently, lower than him. He smirked, giving you and all-too-knowing glare, and helped you out of the water. You grabbed a couple towels and your clothes. You handed one to Kars and began to dry yourself. Once you were dry enough, you began to dress yourself. You looked over at Kars who was drying the ends of his hair. You watched with delight as he leaned over, brushing his purple locks over his head and twisting them in the towel. He stood up again and flipped the towel back, creating the perfect towel hat. You couldn't help but burst out in a fit of giggles as he turned to face you.
"What's so funny?" He smiled and crossed the space between you.
"Your towel hat," you managed to stutter out between laughs. He shot you a curious glare and shook his head.
"Alright. Let's get going." Kars dressed, which really didn't take long, and you were on your way back to the temple. You made a mental note to come back again, even if just to see Kars in his towel hat again.
Chapter 15: Kars & Esidisi {Sick}
Summary:
Your pillarbros help out when you get sick
Chapter Text
You coughed yet again, feeling like someone had put an entire house on your chest. You pulled your blankets tighter around you as you sat in a little huddle on your bed. You had only been sick for a couple days but it was hell. You were coughing so badly that you didn't hear someone come into your small, cold room. You probably wouldn't have noticed their presence if they hadn't have sat down right next to you.
"(Y/N), are you still not feeling well?" they asked. You looked up from your pile and saw one of the pillarmen, Esidisi.
"Ah, Master Esidisi," you mumbled. Your voice was so quiet you could barely hear it. The large man frowned and put the back of his hand on your forehead.
"You're still sick," he noted as he pulled his hand away. You nodded sadly and pulled your blankets even closer, only to be unceremoniously stripped of them.
"Master Esidisi?!"
"Don't worry, I won't bite," he said with a slight smirk. He sat cross legged on the bed and wrapped you in one of the thinner blankets, wrapping his thicc arms around you and pulled you into his lap. Your small frame fit like a puzzle against his warm chest. You nuzzled into the heat as he gradually warmed up and hugged you close. He placed his head on top of yours and played with the ends of your (H/L), (H/C) hair.
Suddenly you heard footsteps by the entrance to your room and a quiet scoff. You looked up to see a mildly jealous Kars leaning against the doorway crossing his arms.
"Master Kars," you said sleepily. You yawned and tried to sit up, but Esidisi's arms restrained you. Kars uncrossed his arms and walked towards the two of you, crossing the gap in only a few long strides.
"Esidisi, did I not tell you that I would tend to her?" he asked sharply.
"You did but you hadn't checked on her in a while, I wanted to make sure she was warm enough," Esidisi said, tightening his hold on you. Kars narrowed his eyes and leaned in near his face. He said something you couldn't hear and Esidisi's grip on you faltered slightly.
Kars took the opportunity to simply pick you up out of his lap like a little doll. He held you in his arms and turned to walk away when Esidisi wrapped his arms around his waist, leaning over the side of the bed to reach him. He pulled Kars onto the bed and in his lap and laughed. Kars scoffed and readjusted, getting Esidisi to shut up.
The three of you sat in silence for moment before you felt Kars lean back into the other Pillarman's chest. He pulled you into his embrace and hummed quietly, playing with your soft hair. Esidisi placed his head in the crook his Kars's neck and hummed with him. You found yourself drifting off to sleep as they carried the light tune.
Chapter 16: Wamuu {Serendipity}
Summary:
Wamuu gets a little surprise!
Notes:
Super short, but I think it's cute ^w^
Chapter Text
Wham was awaked by a sound in his room. He was disturbed to feel another presence in the bed, quickly he sat up on the pillows to see rusting beneath the blankets. What was going on? He pushed the blanket back to reveal a slightly feverish (Y/N). You looked up at him with clouded eyes, still very asleep. A bright blush crawled across your cheeks as you stared into his blue eyes.
Wamuu sighed and ran his hand through your hair, laying down and placing your head on his chest. He wrapped his arm around you and played with your hair. You sighed with content and eventually fell back asleep in your lovers arms.
Chapter 17: Esidisi {Grief}
Notes:
Who doesn't love a little crack sometimes?
Chapter Text
You sat before your laptop, all of your blankets pulled around you. Sobs wracked your body. You heard heavy footsteps enter the room.
"Human, why are you crying?" It was Esidisi. You pulled your blankets tighter around you, clutching a small object. He sat down next to you, his heat radiated through the room. "What happened?" He asked softly. You glared at your computer screen.
"Fuckin Luigi DIED!!" You nearly shrieked. You chocked back a sob. Esidisi wrapped an arm around you in a gesture of comfort.
"Who is Luigi?" You gave him a murderous glare.
"Who is Luigi?" You whispered. You threw off your blankets and tightened your grip on the item in your hand. It was an old Wii remote that you had rigged into a system of bombs that spanned the entire temple. You placed your thumb on top of the A button and turned to face Esidisi. "Ask me who Luigi is again."
"(Y/N)-" You pressed the button, grabbing your laptop and slipping into a little cavern you had found under your bed. Explosions rumbled above you, the detonators had worked. Now it was time to do the same to Nintendo.
Chapter 18: Pillarmen {Understanding}
Summary:
You come to an understanding
Notes:
Warning: Suuper angsty
Chapter Text
You layed on your back on the cold stone floor of your small room. The contact of the stone was so cold it almost burned but nothing hurt worse than the wave of guilt that had crashed over you. In one hand you held a blunt pair of scissors in the other small, red lines. Your things were strewn about the room, almost as if a tornado had torn it apart. You hummed a light tune, on that you hadn't heard for years as hot tears streamed down your cheeks.
You let out a shaky sigh and lazily tossed the scissors away. Hurting yourself wouldn't fix what you had done. You finally understood and it was all too much. Everything was your fault, the fights, the tears, the goodbyes. It was always your fault. It was as if a little part of your brain had been playing puppet master all along as if you had done it all on purpose.
You laughed, igniting sparks of pain in your ribs. You laughed again, a savage, maniacal sound. You covered your face with your bloodied hand, the salt from your tears burning your wounds. Suddenly, you stopped. You couldn't laugh anymore. How peculiar. It took you a moment to realize that you had stopped breathing.
Gasping for air, you sat up and wrapped your arms around your stomach. You didn't hear the footsteps coming down the hallway as you choked on your own breath.
"(Y/N)!" The voice startled you. You looked up to see two of the pillarmen standing before you with horrified expressions. You scowled, how dare they. How dare they! How dare they what? Why did you hate them? For standing where they stood? You had no idea.
"Leave me." You could picture the words flowing out of your mouth.  What you heard you could barely decipher. The two pillarmen kneeled by your side, you recognized them as Wamuu and Esidisi. Wamuu reached out to touch you but pulled back his hand. You looked down at your legs they too were covered in red lines. Except these lines were deep, jagged. When had that happened?
"(Y/N), what have you done?" Esidisi asked, placing a warm hand on your jaw.
"You must reap what you sow," you croaked with a sad smile. "This was of my own undoing." You could hear there alarmed voices, they seemed so close yet so far away. You looked into Wamuu's beautiful blue eyes as you resigned your last, painful breath. It wasn't near what you deserved, but it would do.
Chapter 19: Kars {Trust}
Summary:
Kars teaches you to fly
Chapter Text
"Master Kars, I'm really not sure about this," you mumbled as you stood above the precipice.
"You'll do fine," he reassured you. You swallowed hard as you stared down the bottom of the cliff, yep, those rocks looked pretty sharp. You turned back to him and grabbed his arm. He placed a hand on your jaw, an unusually soft gesture. "You've been training for this for years, don't disappoint me." With that, he pushed you off the edge.
You screamed his name as you fell, trying to orient yourself as the cold, night wind whipped past you. You tried your hardest to steady yourself, remembering the day in which you became a being like him.
~flashback ayy~
You sat on a large wooden table, your legs dangling off the edge. You weren't quite tall enough yet for your feet to reach the floor, but it was fun, idly swinging your legs back and forth. You looked up at the purple haired pillarman as he turned back to you, holding something gray and bulky in his hands.
"What's that?" you asked.
"Something very special. It'll make you strong, just sit still." His voice didn't have its usual edge, he seemed kind of excited. He picked up a red stone from beside you and pressed it into the gray mask. His blades came out of his arm and he used one to make a small cut in your hand, smearing your blood on the mask. Long, dark tendrils came out of the mask, reaching for your arm.
"K-kars?" He gave you a bright smile before pressing the thing to your face. You screamed as the tendrils wrapped around your head, the ends breaking into your skull. He squeezed your hand and you stilled.
~~
You struggled in the air, eventually steading yourself. You didn't have very long left, the drop had passed quickly. You screamed his name one final time before you felt his arms wrap around you. You gasped and opened your eyes, purple feathers flooding your vision. You wrapped your arms around him and hugged him tightly. You didn't dare look at his face, you didn't want to see his stupid scowl. Tears stung your eyes as you finally felt the hard dirt beneath your feet. He set you down gently before releasing you from his hold.
"(Y/N), look at me."
"Master Kars please, let me try again," you blurted out. You stared at the ground until he roughly grabbed your jaw and lifted your head. Yeah, he was scowling again. He took a deep breath and covered his face with his hand.
"You get one more chance."
It was a long climb up the face of the cliff, but you finally made it. By the time you reached the top, it was almost dawn, you would have to get this done quickly. You took a deep breath and took a step closer to the edge, trying not to look down. You turned to give your master one last smile before taking the dive.
This time, instead of screaming and flailing in the air, you focused all of your energy into a set of wings. You had gone through this process a hundred times, it was as easy as snapping your fingers. You took a few deep breaths and glanced back at the multicolored feathers before unfurling your wings. Voila, you stopped falling. You laughed before giving an experimental flap of your new wings.
Before you knew it you were flying. You were really flying! You soared out past the rocky area and up towards the top.
"Kars!" You circled the top of the cliff and he gave you a rare smirk of approval before joining you in the sky. Your heart raced with excitement. "I did it Kars!"
"Good. I might have been impressed if you did it on your first try," he teased. He seemed happier than usual, but you weren't gonna complain.
"Just because you killed a Joestar on your first try doesn't mean anything!" He huffed and glared at you.
"Just be thankful you didn't die your first time."
Chapter 20: Wamuu {Moonlight}
Summary:
You and Wamuu find some extra time to have a little fun
Notes:
Heres the sin guys, enjoy
Chapter Text
The sand was still warm beneath your feet, the moonlight turning it white. You stepped towards the sea, letting the cold water wash up to your ankles. You shivered when the water pulled away, leaving a thin sheen of foam. You felt a presence behind you and felt two large hands on your waist.
"It's beautiful, isn't it Wamuu?" you asked softly, gazing out at the deep blue water. At night the sea and the sky seemed to melt together, the stars shining both in water and space. Tonight was a full moon, enhancing the beauty of the ocean.
"It is. Though no stars shine as bright as you, love," he answered sweetly. He nuzzled into your hair, holding you close.  You smiled and closed your eyes, relishing his warmth. You placed your hands atop his and stood in silence. After a few moments, you sighed and took your hands from his. He unwrapped his arms from around your waist and took a step back. You turned to face him and placed your hands on his chest.
You looked up into his green eyes and he gave you a sweet smile. You giggled and quickly turned, taking his hand and running out into the blue water. He followed close behind, his hand never leaving yours. You heard him laugh as you tried to run in the now waist-deep water. He caught you in his arms, wrapping them tightly around your waist.
You squeaked when he picked you up, water splashing all around you as you struggled.
"Wham! Put me down!" You laughed. He obliged, still holding you close. He leaned down and planted a chaste kiss on your shoulder. You shivered and struggled in his hold. When you were finally free, you turned and splashed water at the pillarman. He laughed and splashed even more back at you, pushing you further into the blue water.
Soon you found yourself far enough into the ocean that you couldn't reach the bottom. The rising tide aided your efforts when a wave crashed over the both of you. You had enough notice to dive under but Wamuu was taken unawares. You came back up giggling as he sputtered, his perfect hair plastered to the sides of his head.
"You snake," he glared at you before breaking into a wide grin.
"I think you've mistaken me for Master Kars," you jested. He chuckled softly and looked back towards the sandy beach. You followed his gaze, back on the mainland Esidisi stood expectantly, probably glaring at the two of you. You turned to Wham and he gave you a quick nod before swimming back to shore.
Soon enough you were back on dry land, shivering once you left the water. The night air was cold against your wet skin.
"Master Esidisi, how kind of you to join us!" He let out a low laugh.
"I've come to retrieve you. Lord Kars needs you back at the temple."
"I believe he can wait. Join us in the water, it'll be warmer with you."
"Be that as it may, he requires all of us."
"Maybe he requires a nap since he's so cranky all the time," you scoffed. Esidisi laughed again, fixing his gaze on the ocean.
"The water does look nice," he paused and looked back at you, "However, if we get in trouble it's your fault."
"Just tell him (Y/N) was foolish enough to get caught in a riptide," You heard Wamuu pitch in. You punched his shoulder and he caught your hand in his. He pulled you into his chest, wrapping his other arm around your waist. "After all,  she was foolish enough to fall in love with me."
"I never said I loved you, now let me go before I tear out your tongue." He looked down at you, returning your glare with a soft gaze. He kissed you softly and looked back up at Esidisi. He simply laughed at the both of you and winked.
"I'll tell Lord Kars that you're busy." He turned his back to you and strolled off the beach, his steps falling softly on the trail that led into the forest. Wamuu tightened his grip on your waist, biting your lip softly.
"I don't think we should waste this opportunity."
"I suppose not." You chuckled.
You waited until you were sure that Esidisi was gone, playing with Wham's golden curls. You opened your mouth to say something when he pushed you back onto the sand. You stumbled, just catching yourself before meeting the ground. "Hey, what was that for?!"
"For punching me," he joked lightly. You sat down in the white sand, pulling your knees to your chest, and waited for his next move. He pushed your legs apart, kneeling between them. He grinned as he leaned down to kiss you, his lips plump and perfect for the task. You tugged at his earrings as he deepened the kiss, placing a firm hand on your thigh. He pulled off your small top, breaking the kiss to continue along your collarbone, working down your chest. He slipped his hand around the waist of your skirt, tugging away the silky fabric. Instead of moving to take it off, he just ripped it and threw it aside.
You gasped when he moved his hand from your thigh to slip a finger into you, then another, moving them in and out. You whimpered as he worked into you, planting light kisses along your jaw. "Wamuu, enough of this," you pleaded, "I want you."
He smiled cruelly against your cheek, slipping a third finger into you. You gasped and arched your back as he pumped his fingers in and out, the sand shifting beneath you. When he took his hand back it was dripping. You shut your eyes tight as you guided him to your entrance, slick and steamy. He grunted as he thrust into you, his hands tangling in your hair. He set a harsh pace, just the way you liked it. You loved it when he was rough with you.
You were able to be as loud as you wanted, seeing that no one was around. Wamuu liked it when you used your voice anyways. The best part was seeing the blush on his face as he pulled out, his satisfied expression, but you still had a while until you would be seeing that.
You had to have changed positions about a dozen times over a dozen rounds. Wham's seed painted the ground, your belly, your face. You laid on your back on the warm sand, Wamuu behind you. You both panted, trying to catch your breath.
"By God, I will never get tired of that." You rolled over to look at him, there it was. His face of content.
"I just might, if you use me like that every time."
"Use you? Oh, I was only pleasing you, my Lord." he let out a breathy laugh.
"You did an excellent job, my Lady."
"Only the best for such an amazing warrior."
"Yet I was still conquered by a woman." You laughed at his comment.
"Conquered, yes, I like that. Well, if we don't head back soon I have a feeling lord Kars will put this little conquest to a quick end."
"He knows we're 'busy'."
"We've been busy for well over an hour."
"We can be 'busy' for an hour more." he winked.
"Oh, I like the way you think." You leaned over and kissed him. A deep, sloppy kiss. You could there were to be many more to come.
Your eyes stung with unshed tears, but you had none left. You shivered as you stood, arms crossed, before Esidisi. He had called you to train but it had not ended as he may have expected. He had given you the news of his departure to look for Santana back in central America.
"No! You can't go! Let me go with you please," you sobbed. He placed a warm hand on your shoulder.
"Lord Kars needs you here. I'm sorry, but you can't come with me," he explained for probably the 100th time.
"Why?! He's never needed me before! Please, you can't leave me."
"(Y/N), I'm coming back. I'll only be gone for a few weeks, I need you to stay."
"Stay out of your way more like. I should have guessed. I'm just a burden, aren't I?" No matter how hard you sobbed you still couldn't shed any tears.
"It's dangerous, I want you to stay here so I know you're okay," he replied gently. He treated you like a piece of glass, so fragile you could break.
"'It's dangerous' See? I am a burden. Dead weight, useless."
"(Y/N), that's not what I meant. I'm leaving on the morrow, and you're staying here."
"No, please," you begged, "you can't leave me. You can't do that. I need you, Esidisi. I'm lost without you." You fell to your knees, pleading him to stay. Esidisi kneeled, pulling you into a warm embrace.
"I'll only be gone for a few weeks. Kars and Wamuu will be here. When I return I will have your other brother with me as well. Isn't that exciting? Don't you want to meet Santana?" he paused, "(Y/N), this is something I must do alone because it is dangerous for even me. You must stay with Kars."
"But what if you leave and you don't come back?" You asked so quietly it was barely a whisper. He hugged you tighter, waiting a few minutes before responding.
"I suppose I won't," he answered just as quietly. You couldn't even respond. What did he mean? Was he going on a suicide mission? Were Kars and Wamuu going to join him and leave you behind? Was he going to stay with Santana? He pulled away from the hug, you were too weak to pull him back. You looked up at him with a fearful expression as he stood above you. "I must go speak to Kars."
"Okay."
"Are you?" The question was sudden, his voice thick with worry. He offered you his hand, which you accepted, and pulled you to stand with him. You stared at him for a long moment.
"Yes."
"No, you're not," he muttered as he pulled you into another hug. He led you through the temple to Kars' study. He didn't have to announce himself for Kars to know he was there. If he noticed you he didn't show it.
"Good, Esidisi.  Are you ready for your departure?"
"About that,  Lord Kars. May (Y/N), accompany me?" It was then Kars finally acknowledged you. His gaze was harsh and judgemental.
"Do you think she is fit for such a journey?"
"Yes,  I do." Kars considered you for a moment before dismissing the both of you.
"Do as you wish, try not to get killed."
"Kars, If I may," The violet-haired pillarman glared at the other, "I think it would be best if all of us would go." Kars narrowed his eyes.
"I'll think about it." The finality in his tone suggested that you leave, so Esidisi led you back down the corridor. When you reached his room, he sat on the bed and pulled you into his lap. He wrapped a thick fur around your shoulders and heated up gradually.
"I really thought you were going to leave me," you whimpered. He frowned and wrapped his arms around you.
"I would never. I left Santana once, but now we are going to retrieve him. If I must go, I will always come back. Okay?"
"Okay."
"I love you.
"I love you too."
Chapter 22: Wamuu & Santana {Reunion}
Summary:
You find your brothers
Chapter Text
Your lonely footsteps made no sound of the soft earth, the only noise was the beat of the rain. This was the first time you could remember walking alone, you opened and closed your hands, the empty feeling sending chills through your body. You missed the soft hands that used to fill the empty space. Ever since you were a child, you walked with Santana and Wamuu at your side. They were like your brothers. You remembered the sting of tears and the bite of grief when Kars had ripped your only friends away from you. You had only been a child as well, so he had spared you, but why did he not take you with him?
~flashback owo~
The loud beat and thrum of your heartbeat filled your head. You stood in a graveyard, the bodies of your people littered the ground around you. The smell of blood and smoke filled the air. Shivering violently, you tightly gripped Santana's strong hand, his vermillion curls filling your field of vision. You looked up at his sullen face as you hugged him tightly. You glanced at Wamuu, who stood next to Santana. Tears brimmed in his eyes, not daring to stain his cheeks. He had to be strong, for you. Santana flinched and wrapped his arms around you protectively when you heard footsteps approaching you. Horror flashed on Wamuu's young face.
"What should we do with them?" A voice asked. It was a tired, rough sound.
"Take them, but leave the girl, she's weak. We have no need of her." You whimpered and buried your face in Santana's soft belly, holding him close. You felt a callused hand on your back and you were ripped away from him, he clawed at your arms trying to pull you back. It was too late, he was seized by a large, purple-haired man that you could not recognize. He glared at you with such an expression of disgust it made you want to curl up in a hole and die. You shrieked and kicked, your sounds of struggle mixed with Wham and Santana's. You fought as hard as you could until you were tossed into a ditch. You watched as the two men carried away your friends, your brothers.
~End of flashback uwu~
You screamed and punched the air. It had been hundreds, thousands of years since that day, so why did you keep remembering it? You had grown since then, you were a strong young woman by now, your tan skin dappled with tattoos and scars. You had spent the past several thousand or so years training to find and defeat the men that had taken your only family away from you. A ripple of frigid air surged around you as you cursed and continued your journey. The rain around you turned to snow. You looked before you, your destination was an old temple somewhere deep in South America. The snow that trailed behind you had already melted into small puddles and the water beneath your feet turned to ice. A thin layer of frost formed on the hem of your cloak.
You reached the temple, stepping into the stone abyss. You were greeted with many centuries worth of cobwebs. You wanted desperately to call out for your brothers but the purple haired monster and his comrade could still be present and you dared not reveal yourself.
You traveled deeper into the temple, finding no signs of life until you came across a lit room. The orange torchlight flooded the hallway from the wide doorway. You pressed yourself to the wall and listened for voices. You heard nothing. You turned and peeked into the doorway; it was a big room with three torches on the walls. In the back of the room were two large bedrolls, a chest, and a small brazier. Jewelry, furs, and empty skins littered the room, it obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while. However, the most notable thing in the room was the bright orange mop of hair that was barely visible under a large pelt.
 You smiled and scanned the room for Wamuu. You eventually found that he was not present, a shame really, but you'd find him later. You quietly stepped into the room, kneeling at the edge of the bedroll. You softly brushed his hair out of his face to reveal his prominent features. Damn, he had changed a lot. You still remembered the little baby-faced Santana from so long ago, it was almost painful to look at him all grown up. You traced the cobalt blue tattoo under his eye and laughed quietly to yourself.
"Santana, wake up," you whispered. He took your hand in his and sat up slowly, his eyes still closed. Oh, how you longed to see his crimson irises. "Come on, wake up!" You said. He opened his eyes, his face showing alarm. Did he not recognize you? He let go of your hand and stood, staggering away from you and darting toward the door. No, no! Why was he running away from you? "Santana!" you cried. The room froze, and so did Santana it seemed. Goose-flesh prickled your arms, you had never been this cold before.
"(Y/N)?" You stood and an expression of recognition flashed across his face. It wasn't until he wrapped his arms around you that you realized how much he had really changed. He was so muscular, it was crazy. You were so used to the soft, chubby Santana. Not the large man that stood before you. He was almost a foot taller than you, maybe more. You couldn't tell with your face nuzzled into his soft hair.
"Santana, you're so..." You began. He let you out of the embrace and looked down at you. "Big." was the word you finally decided on.  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
"And you're so small," he laughed. You took his hands in yours and looked down at them. They were surprisingly soft.
"Where's Wamuu?"
"He's with Master Esidisi and Lord Kars." Master Esidisi and Lord Kars?!
"Where?" Santana looked slightly uncomfortable. Well, if he wasn't going to tell you, you would find out for yourself. You dropped his hands and dashed around him, leaving him alone in the cold room. You felt bad about it, but you needed to find Wamuu. You sprinted down the corridor, careful to be silent and listening for anyone else.
You felt like you had been running forever, past empty rooms and large halls. Where could he be? You finally heard voices from down the hallway. You decided that they must be coming from the room on the corner. You quietly approached the door, peeking inside for just a moment. You saw Wamuu speaking to another pillarman that you did not recognize, you hoped it wasn't Kars.
You soon realized that there was no way you could sneak into the room, so you decided to take a more direct approach. You dropped your cloak and stepped into the room.
"Wamuu!" They both turned and looked at you, Wamuu's face lit up with surprise and the other smirked. You took a few more steps into the room and Wham glanced at the other pillarman before stepping forward to greet you.
You broke out in a short run and met Wham in an eager embrace, wrapping your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. Your unruly (H/C) hair fell around his face and you couldn't help but smile.
"(Y/N)!" He hugged you tightly, a bright smile on his face. You were surprised to receive such a warm greeting after seeing his stony expression when speaking to the other pillarman. His smile faded and he turned to face the other pillarman, holding you protectively rather than excitedly. "Master Esidisi this is..."
"I know," Esidisi said quietly. He flashed you a slight grin. "You have aged well." You cleared your throat and glared at him. His smiled and put his arms up in a joking manner. "No reason to be that cold!"
"I won't be mocked by a man that would toss a child into a ditch and leave her to die," you retorted in an icy tone. He narrowed his eyes.
"I was commanded to leave you." You bit your lip, thinking of a response. You let go of Wamuu and he gently set you down.
"Well, I am not as weak now as I was."
"I can see that," he countered. He took your hand in his, his warmth almost overwhelming. "I would never have left you if I hadn't been commanded to do so." You glanced at your hands before looking into his blue eyes. He was being sincere. You glanced back at Wamuu before gently taking your hand from Esidisi's.
"Let me join my brothers in your service." Esidisi laughed.
"Your brothers are they? Well, I guess they are now," he paused, flashing you a bright grin, "I will not accept you into my service; however, I will accept you into my family." You were speechless. You stared at him, searching for something to say. You were about to respond when Santana burst in the room.
"(Y/N)!" All three of you turned to look at Santana at the same time. Esidisi smiled as you pulled Santana into a tight hug.
"Santana, did you hear him? We can be a family again!" You couldn't hold back your tears of joy. Wammu turned to Esidisi.
"What about Lord Kars?" He whispered.
"Leave it to me." Esidisi mumbled something Wham couldn't quite make out and left the room, giving Santana a pat on the back as he walked by.
Chapter 23: Kars {Mistakes}
Summary:
You make a mistake, Kars tells you it's okay
Chapter Text
You walked meekly out of the armory, your mind racing, yelling at you to go and hide before Kars found you. You were told not to go in there, but your curiosity had gotten the better of you. And so had your clumsiness. You simply wanted to train with Wamuu. You trained with him regularly but without weapons. So when he left to practice you decided you would find a weapon you liked and join him.
You had walked around the room in awe, staring at all of the weapons that lined the walls. They had everything from maces to giant war hammers to tiny daggers the size of your finger. But what caught your eye was a large silver trident. It shone like it was made of a thousand lightning bugs in the light of your torch. You reached for it, wrapped your hand around the grip, and knocked it into the stand of spears beside it. In all of the chaos, you earned a nasty gash on your thigh and emerged from a pile of spears, tridents, and several other things you didn't recognize bloodied and scared. The crash was so loud you were sure that everyone in the temple had heard it.
You whimpered and pressed a hand to your cut. It wasn't that bad but it stung a little. At least your small shift covered it so you wouldn't get in trouble for that as well. Tears burned your eyes as you heard footsteps at the end of the dark corridor. You were already mentally preparing your apology speech to Kars but it was hard with so many thoughts swimming in your head. As the footsteps quickened, so did your breathing.
You fell to your knees and began to beg, "Master Kars, please I'm so sorry I know I disobeyed you I should never have gone in there. I made a mistake please forgive me I'm sorry-"
"Y/N," instead of hitting you as you had anticipated, he kneeled before you and pulled your hands into his, "Are you alright?" He stood, pulling you up with him. You looked up into his violet eyes, they seemed to glow with something you couldn't recognize.
"I- well, my-" He lifted your shift and examined the cut on your leg.
"How did this happen? Did you fall? I heard it all the way from my study." He frowned and stood to his full height, which was Much taller than you. It scared you a little.
"I was trying to- I wanted-" You couldn't finish what you were trying to say. You keep stumbling over your words. "T-the trident and-"
"Shh. You can tell me once I fix this." He considered you for a moment before turning and starting towards his solar. You followed quietly behind. On the way to his study, he ordered a couple of his vampires to clean up the mess you had made. That only made you feel worse. As you finally turned into his private study you felt tears roll down your cheeks.
He gingerly picked you up and placed you on his desk, wiping the tears from your cheek with a calloused hand.
"It wasn't your fault," he cooed. He moved around the room, pulling things from boxes and picking up small jars. But it was? It was entirely your fault!  You opened your mouth to protest but no sound came out. "It should have been better organized. It was a simple mistake, even one Wamuu has made many times."
"You lie," you managed to squeak out. He set down all of his things beside you and placed two firm hands on your thighs, being careful not to press on your wound.
"I am many things, but I have never been a lair. Ask Wamuu, he can tell you himself. Once he almost took his arm off trying to grab an ax." He calmly told you of the many times his companions had made silly mistakes as he cleaned your wound. It almost took away the sting of whatever he poured in your cut. "Esidisi once burned himself as well. He boasted that no fire could hurt him and I proved him wrong. A stubborn thing, his pride is. He sobbed for a day and claimed that I had cheated and used some sorcery to hurt him." By the time he had finished his stories your wound was cleaned and dressed and you already felt better. But that still didn't get rid of the angry coil of anxiety wriggling in your chest.
"Master Kars, why are you being kind to me? Don't you mean to punish me? Haven't I angered you?"
"You have, actually." Suddenly the fear that was hidden in your chest set off sirens in your head. Why did you say that? Now he was just going to hurt you. "It infuriates me that such a fine specimen as yourself was cursed to be so ungraceful. I do wish you would take better care so as not to hurt yourself. It pains me to see such ugly blemishes on your fine (s/t) skin." He took your hand in his. "However I do find it ridiculous that you would ever think I would hurt you. I have done nothing but care for you."
"K-kars I was just scared, I didn't mean it. I thought-" You looked down, not daring to meet his gaze.
"You have no reason to fear me. But I do believe that you should have a healthy fear of spears from now on," he laughed. A precious sound. You loved the sound of his laugh. He smiled down at you, another thing that you found precious, and brushed your cheek once more. "I have never loved humans. Inferior, disgusting creatures. Yet I think of you as my own child. It's quite curious, but you have carved a place for yourself in the heart Esidisi claims I don't have."
You were stunned. You had no idea what to say. Tears stained your cheeks once more and this time you didn't try to stop them. Kars wrapped his arms around you and you sobbed into his chest. After a few minutes, you heard his quiet voice.
"I will always protect you, (Y/N)."
Chapter 24: Wamuu & Santana {Stealth}
Summary:
You sneak into bed with your favorite brothers
Notes:
Honestly I really love this one too lol
Chapter Text
You snuck through the dark corridor into an even darker room, pausing a moment to let your eyes adjust to the lack of light. You smiled when you saw a figure in the bed in the corner of the room. You tiptoed across the floor, taking care to not step on anything. The cold stone hurt your feet but it was easiest to sneak around barefoot.
You had to suppress a laugh when you saw a mop of orange hair splayed across the pillow. At least you knew Santana was still in bed. A foot or so away from him was another lump in the blankets. Sweet. You could tell that both of them were still asleep from the steady rise and fall of the blankets. Now you just had to think of a way to sneak in there with them.
You used to sleep with Wham and Santana all the time, but Kars had forbidden it once you started to get older. You had grown up with the two, the three of you were the ultimate squad. He couldn't expect you Not to sleep together.
You crept over to Wham's side of the low bed and softly poked his cheek. You had to admit, his sleeping face was pretty cute. Well, his face was cute anyways.
"Wamuu," you whispered. He gave you a sleepy smile and placed a hand on your head.
"(Y/N)."
"Pull me up there." He sighed and pulled down the blankets before wrapping an arm around you and just about flipping you onto the bed. You landed with a soft "oof" and Santana mumbled something from behind you. You couldn't help but laugh a little.
"(Y/N)?" You heard Santana's quiet voice.
"Yep," you answered softly. He rolled over and wrapped an arm around you, nuzzling into your hair. Wamuu pulled the blankets over the three of you and gave you a quick kiss on the forehead.
"You better be gone before Kars comes to wake us."
"I was never here." You smiled and hugged Wamuu. You eventually fell asleep in their arms, the only place you ever felt truly content.
~~~

You woke up to a soft tap on the shoulder. You still had your arms wrapped around Wamuu, and you could feel Santana's shallow breaths on your back. Who could it be?

You opened your eyes, scared that you would see Kars standing there. In the low light, you could make out Esidisi's massive figure. He brushed a stray lock of hair out of your face.

"You must be leaving, mi hija. Kars will be here soon." You groaned and hugged Wamuu tighter, refusing to get up. Esidisi frowned and sat on the edge of the bed, just beside Wamuu. You feared that he would wake up, but it was not so.

"Esidisi... A while longer?" He smiled.

"I wish I could let you stay, but Kars would be furious." You sighed and sat up, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.

"But I can't," you protested. Wamuu rolled over and pulled you back into his arms. Esidisi laughed as he looked down at you with a soft smile.

"I guess you are stuck now. I suppose I can persuade Kars to let the boys sleep a while longer." He winked and gave you and Wamuu both a quick kiss on the cheek before retreating into the darkness.

"Is he gone?" Wamuu asked his voice heavy with sleep.

"I don't think he'll be back soon. Hopefully, he'll come before Kars does," You whispered back.

"You're lucky that Esidisi came instead of Kars. You know what he would do to us." You shivered when you remembered how he had reacted the last time he found you with Wamuu and Santana.

"Consider yourself lucky that I still sneak in here."

"Really? I know you can't sleep without us," he teased. You tried to think of a witty comeback, but you were too tired to find one.

"You always toss and turn when she's not here," Santana mumbled, "And you steal all of the blankets." Wamuu's face heated up, but he didn't protest.

"You are quite warm, (Y/N)," he admitted. You grinned. At least I'm good for something.

"Aw, I love you too."

"Of course." You wriggled out of Wham's embrace and he looked down at you curiously. You rolled over and Santana wrapped his arms around you. "Was it something I said?"

"Santana is softer." Santana laughed and lightly squeezed your shoulders.

"You're right. (Y/N) is very warm, I think I'll keep her." You both giggled when Wamuu sighed and rolled over. You loved your brothers, and you were pretty sure they loved you too. You couldn't be happier.

Chapter 25: Pillarmen {Isolation}

Summary:

You just wanted some alone time

Chapter Text

A soft hum hung in the warm air. The stars decorated the dark sky above you as you laid on the altar. Even though you felt at peace here, goosebumps crept across your skin. Although the night was warm, the stone was frigid. You stared up at the stars, wondering if anyone would find you there.

"-I'm sure she went this way." You heard Wamuu's voice. It was soft so he was probably a little ways away. But you could hear him, so he was getting close.

"She knows there is nothing up here. She's probably still in her chambers." Esidisi responded.

"I already checked." You heard Santana say. You sighed and rolled onto your side, curling up on the cold stone platform. You heard their footsteps grow louder, your heart beating faster as they approached. You just wanted a little alone time so you retreated to the only place where you thought they couldn't find you. You were wrong.

You watched as Wamuu appeared at the edge of the platform. Esidisi and Santana soon followed.

"(Y/N)!" Santana kneeled by the altar and took your hands in his. You glared at him. Esidisi sat next to you and placed a warm hand on your leg. You sighed and rolled onto your back, staring up at the open sky.

"(Y/N), are you alright?" Esidisi asked tenderly.

"Yeah." He frowned. Wamuu sat opposite Esidisi and placed his hand on top of yours. You sighed again, to tired to bat his hand away.

"You know you can't lie to me," he chided. He leaned down and kissed you on the cheek, his warmth was nice.

You sat up and pulled your knees to your chest. "I just wanted to be alone for a while. It's too dark down there, and being up here makes me feel better. I don't know, it's just suffocating in there. And so dark." You shivered. Wamuu wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into his chest. Santana looked up at you sympathetically.

"Plus it's kind of exhausting, being pulled around all the time. I thought I could come up here and be alone for a while." Santana joined the others on the altar and played with your hair.

"Would you like us to leave?" He offered. Esidisi glanced at Santana then back at you.

"I think that would be best," Esidisi stated. He stood and began the trek back down the steps. Santana and Wamuu shared a quiet word. Wamuu let you out of his embrace.

"(Y/N), we can-"

"No! Stay, please," You whispered. "Or go." Santana placed his hand on your jaw and lightly brushed your cheek. He gave you a quick kiss on the forehead and pulled away. You wanted him to come back but you also wanted to be alone. Wamuu squeezed your shoulders one last time and followed Santana.

You were alone again, sitting on the cold stone with nothing but the sounds of the rain forest to comfort you. The stars watched as you curled up once more on the altar. You thought you wanted to be alone. Maybe you were wrong. It was hard to tell what you really wanted and what you needed. At least you were up here in the clean air instead of the stifling air deep within the temple.

A while later you heard more steps. Part of you hoped that  Wamuu had come back but you knew he wouldn't. You watched with half lidded eyes as Kars stood before you, his hands on his hips. He looked down at you with a curious expression. He sighed and sat down next to you, pushing your legs aside to make room.

"It is my understanding that you dislike the temple, is this true?"

"Well-"

"I assumed as much. I don't care for this place either." That surprised you. "The others say that you feel like you're being pulled every which way and that's why you wish to be alone," He paused, "I know what that feels like." You sat up and took his hand, lightly tracing his palm. "(Y/N), look at me."

You met his gaze, his purple eyes glimmered with the light of the stars.

"That's still no reason to isolate yourself. You can come to me, or any of us. You can trust us." You nodded and put down his hand. "Are you ready to come back down?"

"Not yet. Please don't leave." He lightly kissed your brow.

"You know I would never leave you," he reassured you. He smiled, "scoot."

You made room for Kars on the stone platform and he sat cross legged beside you. He pulled you into his lap and wrapped his arms around you. It was definitely much warmer than laying on the frigid rock.

"I don't think I want to be alone."

"No one really does. I learned that the hard way," he paused and wrapped a lock of you hair around his finger, "I'll always be here for you (Y/N). I'll find us a better place. Somewhere less claustrophobic, maybe a nice house." You couldn't help but laugh a little.

"Us, living in a house?"

"I've encountered stranger things," he mused. "I'd tolerate a house for you. We mustn't stay up here too long, you'll catch a cold." You smiled and leaned into his chest. You didn't know he could be so soft.

"Just a little longer?" He laughed.

"Don't push it."

Chapter 26: Kars {Infidelity}

Summary:

Your husband doesn't treat you right, but Kars sure does

Chapter Text

You shifted uneasily in your seat. How you longed for this meeting to be over. You stared down the table as your husband's advisers bickered over this and that, never pausing to consider another's opinion. Except for one, the emperor's hand, Kars, who was the second most powerful man in the realm. He was always number one in your heart.

Kars had been risen up from nothing. He was brilliant and strong, the perfect candidate for a royal adviser, although he had become more of a royal paramour. You could practically feel his hands on you, his soft lips as they pressed against your neck. You could hear his soft words and teasing laughs. He was everything your husband wasn't. He was perfection.

Suddenly, Kars was staring back at you. His piercing gaze met yours from across the table. You bit your lip and turned to your husband, not wishing to waste a second more without your beloved.

"Why, darling, I believe this has gone on long enough. Doesn't the festival begin soon? We mustn't wait a second longer if you want to be ready before the festivities begin," You stated loud enough to be heard over the quibbling men. You made sure to use your best "I want something so I'm going to pretend I love you" voice. He turned to you with a patient smile, you knew he had heard enough of the useless arguing too.

"You're right," he turned to wave away the attendees, "We are done for today. You're all dismissed." He gave you a quick kiss on the cheek and left. You were happy too see him go but you dreaded that you knew where he was headed.

You despised your husband. When he wasn't yelling at you he was neglecting you. He didn't even bed you anymore, he had plenty of willing whores in his chambers. You had seen them once when you went to wake him. The one time you wanted to reach out and you caught him with the girl who used to be your best friend.

You were pulled out of your thoughts with a quick kiss on the cheek. You turned to see Kars, his violet hair pulled into a tight braid. A shame, you loved to play with his hair. He smiled and placed a hand on your jaw, stealing another kiss.

"Your radiance, if I may, you seemed a bit distracted today." He flashed you a smug grin.

"Don't pretend you're innocent, you know what you do to me."

"Oh my, an empress shouldn't have such impure thoughts," he teased. He snaked a hand around your waist and pushed you against the edge of the table. His hand moved from your waist to unlace the back of your gown. He pressed his leg between yours, staring down at you with a hungry glare.

You stared into his deep violet eyes. You wondered why he did this, why he would risk his position and his life to be with you. You would gladly put your life on the line for just a night with him. He was your sanity, the only thing that kept the palace walls from crumbling around you. He leaned his close, his eyes half-lidded and his lips parted. His scent filled the air around you and your lungs, his voice filled your mind. The world stopped as he tenderly pressed his lips to yours.

His nose softly pressed into your cheek. The two of you fit like a puzzle; the pieces connected perfectly. You parted your lips and handed yourself over to him. He readily accepted, tearing off your gown and pushing you back, leaning over you as you laid back on the table. His taste, his scent, his touch, it all flooded your senses. All that mattered was you and Kars. He wasn't an affair, he was your life. He had saved you from the despair of a loveless marriage and the crushing weight of being an Empress.

You whimpered when he pulled away, longing for his heat. He nipped at your earlobe. You let a quiet moan escape your lips as he bit your neck, sucking on the tender flesh.

"My my, such indecency."

"Oh Kars, how you wound me!" you joked. You felt him smile against your jaw.

"But I've only just started."

Chapter 27: Wamuu {Suspicion}

Summary:

Wamuu accuses you of stealing his things

Chapter Text

 You sighed and leaned back against the cold wall, pulling your blanket around your shoulders. Wamuu sat across from you on your bed, his arms and legs crossed, staring at you expectantly.

"I'm not telling," You stated flatly.

"Then I'm not leaving," he retorted. He didn't miss beat, he never did. Quite honestly you didn't care whether he left or not. You enjoyed his company but right now was not a time when you'd want to be around him. His favorite mace had disappeared conveniently within the timeline that you were in his room and he was livid. You were snooping around but not for his mace. "I just want to know what you did with it. I'm not mad."

"Sure you're not. Look, I don't know what happened to it and I'm quite insulted that you automatically blamed Me. It's as if you don't trust me"

"Exactly." You laughed and rolled your eyes.

"If I were to steal from you I would take your jewelry, not your weapons. I'm too small to wield that thing properly anyways," you argued. His expression softened a little. "Maybe Esidisi took it for repairs or you could've left it in the armory."

"I'm not sure. I'd have to check." You had expected him to immediately leave but he made no attempt to leave. Instead he got closer. He sighed and crawled across the bed to sit next to you, pulling you over to lean on his shoulder.

"You're not going to look for it?"

"I will, later," he said, running his fingers through your hair, "I've missed you," he added quietly. Oh? You smiled and placed a hand on his arm.

"It has been quite some time since we've been together." He smiled and grabbed your hand, twining his fingers with yours. "How is your training going?"

"Great! Master Esidisi says I have improved greatly just over the last month. He has even gone so far to say he's proud of me."

"That's amazing Wham!" He let out a hearty laugh.

"It's been a while since I've heard that one." He looked down at you with a warm expression. You sat up and contemplated him for a moment before pushing him over. He gave in surprisingly easily. He adjusted so he laid flat on his back, pulling you down onto him. You pressed your cheek against his warm chest, feeling it rise and fall with his steady breaths. You closed your eyes as he pulled a blanket over you.

"I guess so. It's been too long," you pondered. You couldn't remember the last time you had been able to share a quiet moment with Wamuu. It must have been months, maybe even years ago. You wished you could do this more often but your masters kept you busy.

He took a deep breath and sighed, placing a hand on your back and softly rubbing your shoulder blades. You yawned and found his other hand, lacing your fingers with his. His warmth seeped into your chest, your heart syncing with his. His scent filling your lungs, the warm musk that you adored. It almost reminded you of cinnamon. No, something else. You just couldn't find the right word. You smiled and hummed a little, closing your eyes and letting everything disappear but you and Wamuu.

"I love you (Y/N)," he murmured.

"I know," you responded sleepily. He chuckled and gave you a kiss on the head. "You're making me tired."

"Then sleep."

"But your mace-"

"We'll find it later," he yawned. Well, if you say so. You drifted off to sleep to his heartbeat and for a moment everything was okay.

Chapter 28: Esidisi {Peace}

Summary:

Esidisi helps you find your happy place

Chapter Text

You strolled through the tall grass, your mind in fifty different places. You usually came out here to clear your thoughts, but your favorite field had lost its magic. You sighed and lazily picked at the edges of the blades.

"Someone looks tired," Esidisi teased. You looked up to see him standing in the shade of a lonely tree that stuck up like an island in a green sea.

"Not really," you mumbled. You slowly made your way to the tree where he was waiting patiently. Once you were finally within his reach, he held out his hand and gave you a warm smile. You knew what that meant. You placed your hand in his and twirled out to the side before he pulled you back into his arms. You hugged his shoulders as he wrapped his arm firmly around your waist, his other hand cradling the base of your neck. You returned his sweet smile as he gently lowered you. He leaned in for a kiss but paused, his lips barely brushing yours.

He pulled away, the ghost of a kiss still tingling on your lips. He pulled you back up and wrapped his arms around you in a tight embrace.

"Mi Cielo, what troubles you?" He asked softly. You frowned and took a deep breath.

"Nothing you need to concern yourself with. I just needed to clear my head."

"We're in this together, darling. Tell me," he said, letting you out of his arms. You could hear the sincerity in his voice and decided it might be better to tell him.

"I just need some quiet but every time I seem to find some peace I can't stop thinking. It's so back and forth I just need a break." He nodded and gave you a light kiss on your cheek.

"I understand," he kissed your other cheek, "I may not be able to help, but I have an idea." You let out the breath you didn't realize you were holding. Those were the words you wanted to hear. I understand. Those two words. Esidisi rubbed your shoulder, his rough hands warm against your skin.

"That's never good," you joked, your voice but a whisper. He smiled and laughed half-heartedly.  He placed his hand on your jaw, lightly stroking your cheek. He took your hand in his and led you through the field and up a hill. Soon enough, you found yourself in an unfamiliar area.

"Esidisi-"

"Shh, just watch." He found a patch of shorter grass and sat down, gesturing for you to sit beside you. You sat with your knees pulled to your chest and looked at him curiously. He laid back, his arms crossed behind his head. He turned to you with an easy smile. You laid out and stared up at the sky, the clouds rolling past at a lazy pace. "Just watch the clouds and let everything else fade away."

His soft voice was comforting. You followed his advice, watching the clouds leisurely pass by. You took a deep breath and blocked everything out but the flow of the clouds and the sound of Esidisi's steady breaths.

"Esidisi?" You heard a soft grunt in response. "Think we can dance again tonight?" You asked, reminiscing about the nights when you would sneak into Esidisi's chambers to dance the night away. Sometimes the two of you would steal away in the night to dance through the very field you were laying in. Maybe that's what made this place so special to you.

"Of course, mi Reina."  You smiled contentedly and stared back up at the sky, finally finding the peace you had searched so hard to find.

Chapter 29: Kars {Affection}

Summary:

You just wanted to show Kars some love

Notes:

Another kind of short one

Chapter Text

You approached the Violet haired pillarman with your hands on your hips. You reached up on the tips of your toes and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. He looked down at you with disdain.

"What was that?" He asked in a gruff voice.

"Affection."

"Disgusting." Discouraged, you shrink back down and crossed your arms. "Do it again." You reached up again and he wrapped his arms around your waist, picking you up so you didn't have to reach. You caught Kars in a quick kiss before pulling away. His scarlet eyes burned into yours. You couldn't help but laugh.

Chapter 30: Wamuu {Sweet Romance}

Summary:

For the hopeless romantic in all of us

Chapter Text

   You leaned on Wamuu's shoulder, digging into the soft sand with your toes. You glanced up at him, the sun glazed his eyes an emerald green and melted his often stoic expression to something much softer. He was almost smiling. You felt your chest tense as you looked up at his handsome face. His smooth features, defined profile, plump lips, they all made your heart skip a beat.

You couldn't remember your first lover, or any of them as a matter of fact, but you could remember the first time you saw Wamuu. His strong build and stern expression made something burn inside of you. What was once a white-hot, lustful flame had burned down to something much deeper. You had fallen in love.

Wamuu made you feel complete, he was your best friend and so much more. He was everything and you loved him. He loved you too. You especially loved the quiet words, soft touches, and quick glances that came with being with Wamuu. He was never very openly emotional but he still liked to show affection. You did too, but you were a bit bolder. You baked, picked flowers, and openly  declared your love for him quite often. You were vocal with your love and emotionally driven. But when you were alone, things were different.

There were no lengthy confessions of love in private, no steamy exchanges or awkward conversations. Just the two of you in your own world. All that mattered was you and Wamuu. You laid together in near silence for hours, whispering quiet conversations about life or how Kars shed all over the place. You were perfectly content.

You stared out at the ocean, listening to your lover's soft breaths. You closed your eyes and took his hand in yours, lightly squeezing it. He looked down at you and kissed the top of your head.

"I love you," he murmured. They were three simple words, yet they made your heart ache with overwhelming emotion.

"You're beautiful," you replied softly. He laughed and wrapped an arm around your shoulders, giving you another chaste kiss on your cheek.

"You stole my line." You smiled and opened your eyes, meeting his gaze. Yeah, he was beautiful. You looked away with a short laugh and leaned into his embrace.

"I love you too."

Chapter 31: Esidisi {Strange Magic}

Summary:

An unfinished ritual comes back to haunt you

Chapter Text

You stalked the halls of the large library, remaining hidden between the tall shelves of old books. You had retreated to the very back, the section full of old biographies that no one cared to read. The dust seemed to thicken the air, the particles floating around you. You sighed and scanned the shelf, placing your hand on an old red book. It wasn't like the rest of the books. It was bound with a thick, scaly leather that almost seemed to glow. It was thick, holding at least 1,000 pages.

You slowly pulled it out of the shelf. The material felt strangely warm in your hands. You brushed your thumb over the pages.  You looked back into the empty space where the book used to be.

"Boo." A deep voice said from behind you. You had to bite your tongue to keep from shrieking. A dark, clawed hand reached around you and stroked your hand. "My, you have good taste, but let's not open that." He took the book from your shaking hands. You slowly turned to face him, almost scared of what you would see.

He was tall. Very, very tall. And handsome. A dark orange X was painted over his sculpted face. He had light blue, fluffy hair that stuck out against his dark complexion. Nestled in his hair were two black horns, curled like those of a ram. They seemed to glow with a light you couldn't describe. His blue eyes sparkled with a kind of mischief.

"Sir, I'm sorry, I don't think I know you," you stuttered.

"Oh I know you quite well. Don't worry, you'll know me soon enough," he winked. You raked your brain for any memory of this strange man. You had never seen anyone that looked like that and you had never met anyone that could appear from air. Wait.

You did remember something. When you were a little younger you were absolutely obsessed with the dark arts. Magick was still a part of your life, but you no longer scoured old books for summoning charms and information about old, dangerous deities. For a while you had a book about low ranking gods that were usually referred to as powerful demons as people had stopped recognizing them properly. There was one in particular that you were obsessed with. You sucked in a breath and stared at him in disbelief. He smiled and placed the book back on the shelf.

"So you do remember?"

"Yeah," you squeaked. He took a few steps closer, pressing you against the wall of books. He flooded your senses, his scent hung in the air as you stared into his blue eyes. He wet his perfectly plump lips and glared back down at you. You shrunk back as he placed his hand by your head. He leaned in, his warm lips ghosting yours.

"You never sealed the deal. You went through such trouble to pull me to this place, yet you never finished what you started." You shivered and took a deep breath.

"Esidisi of the flame, I offer you rein of my earthly body in exchange for your guidance in the forge," you said shakily. You jumped when he started laughing. He pulled back and clutched his stomach, doubled over with laughter.

"You want to sell me your body," he paused and glanced up at you, "to learn how to forge?" You crossed your arms and leaned against the bookshelf. You stuttered a little before he interrupted you. "I can teach you to forge for free. Just about anyone can."

"But-" He placed his hand on your jaw, careful to not burn you.

"I am not summoned often. People summon me to destroy their enemies, to grant them godly weapons and make them invincible. I have destroyed armies in exchange for a small temple in a forgotten country." He gave you a sympathetic smile. "That's not what you really want, is it?"

"Lord Esidisi, may I ask for your personal protection?"

"That's a new one. I'll have to consider it. In return?"

"I'll give you anything," you stuttered out. He cringed a little and laughed.

"Never offer a demon anything. All I want is your word." He gave you a surprisingly soft smile. "Promise me you will never let another touch those pretty little lips of yours."

You blushed deeply as he pressed a clawed finger to your lips.

"Okay," you stuttered, "I promise."

"Then we have a deal." He swiftly leaned in, pressing you up against the wall. He placed a hand on your hip and parted your lips with his claw. You felt his plump, perfect lips meet yours in a delicate kiss. A kiss that would seal your fate. He moved his hand to your jaw and pursed his lips against yours. You wrapped an arm around him and pressed back, unsure of how exactly you had to kiss him. You knew you needed a kiss to seal the deal, but did that mean a quick, chaste kiss or an hour long session of french kisses. All you knew was that either way, you were really enjoying it. It was a lot more fun than signing a contract in half a million places.

He pulled away, licking his lips with a black tongue. He grinned down at you and planted a light peck on the corner of your lips.

"Just for good measure."

Esidisi's POV

Esidisi leaned against the stone wall, his palms slightly sweaty and his heart racing. He bit his lip and watched intently as (Y/N) danced around the arena, poised to kill. She turned everything into a dance, her feet quick and sure. There was a certain fire in the way she moved, her stance, her stare. Esidisi could fall deep into her eyes for hours. His eyes carefully followed her movements. She closed in on her opponent, dodging their messy swipes and jabs that they made at her. She swiftly moved in, her concealed blades making quick work of the enemy.

She walked away from the limp body, wiping away a spatter of blood that had stained her abdomen. She waltzed towards Esidisi, her hips swaying with each step. She brushed her long (H/C) hair over her shoulder and grinned up at him.

"How'd I do?"

"Perfect yet again," he said, wrapping an arm around her waist. She blushed and brushed his arm away.

"Thanks." She laughed and smiled up at him, her perfect (E/C) eyes shining with admiration.

"Soon I'll have to become your opponent."

"Master, if I face you I will surely lose." Esidisi smiled when she called him Master.

"(Y/N)," he stared at her for a second, taking all of her in at once. Her scent seemed to float around her, a metallic tinge sticking to it. Her (E/C) eyes stared back at him and a small lock of hair fell out of her braid, framing her face. Little beats of sweat dotted her brow and small speckle of blood dripped down her cheek. Esidisi raised his hand and softly cupped her jaw, wiping it away with his thumb. She stared up at him with wide eyes, her lips parted. "Don't worry. You have already defeated me," he muttered, leaning closer. Her eyelashes grazed his cheek as his nose pushed against hers. He could feel her short breaths on his lips.

"Esidisi?"

"My lord." Esidisi quickly turned and drew back his hand, standing to face Kars. He glared at him disdainfully and glanced at (Y/N), who still had a look of surprise on her face.

"I was hoping to watch your match, but it seems like you're preoccupied. Please don't harass our soldiers."

"Yes, my lord." Kars turned and with one last glance at (Y/N) walked away. Esidisi turned back to her. She looked up at him, stunned.

"Master," she paused and glanced down for a moment, fiddling with her hands, "may we-"

Esidisi grabbed her hand and wrapped his arm around her waist, pushing her back against a stone pillar. She placed her hands against his chest.

"Esidisi," She said firmly.

"Yes, (Y/N)? Are you alright?"

"Let's try this again another night. I have to train some more if I am to beat you." She smiled and Esidisi took a step back.

"You're already amazing."

"I need to be perfect."

"You won't have to train very hard then," Esidisi joked. "Meet me in my chambers once you're ready." He winked and turned away, walking towards the large wooden doors. He heard (Y/N) giggle behind him.

Would anyone like a continuation?

A continuation of Strange Magic featuring Wamuu!

I honestly really liked this one!! And to MoonsOfSaturn I hope you enjoy!

Chapter Text

You hummed quietly along as your music blasted through the kitchen, mixed with the sounds of your pan sizzling and hot oil bubbling. Suddenly, you felt an odd sensation on your arm. It was as if someone was lightly touching you with a bag of ice. You looked down and saw a shadow, it seemed to overlay your arm. It was another arm. The shape was dark yet very muscular, several thick bracelets separating the forearm from a large hand. You could see a couple rings on its out stretched fingers.

You nearly shrieked and jumped, dropping your spatula as you turn to look behind you. You frantically scanned the kitchen but nothing was there, you were alone. You let out a shaky sigh and returned to your cooking, feeling that strange sensation once more. You looked down and saw the hand softly wrapping around your wrist. You snapped your hand back and glanced over your shoulder once more.

"Go away!" You cried. You stared at the kitchen a moment longer before hesitantly turning back to finish dinner. You continued cooking without further incident.

After dinner, you decided to check out the kitchen one last time before retiring to your room. You looked everywhere, completely unsure of what to expect. Of course, you didn't find anything, but you were still a little on edge.

You felt something looking over your shoulder as you walked back to your room but your tried your best to ignore it. The goosebumps on your arms and tightly coiling terror in your chest thought otherwise. You felt it get closer, nearly touching your back. You sucked in a sharp breath and spun around, again seeing nothing. You grew desperate, running to the bathroom. You left the door open behind you for a moment before softly closing it and turning the lights off. Though you felt extremely uneasy, you needed to know if this was real. You fearing you were loosing your mind.

After a few moments, you felt a shiver up your spine. You could sense something there, wrapping around you like an embrace from a sculpture made of ice. You closed your eyes and took deep steady breaths, preparing yourself for what you were about to do. You slowly reached over and flicked the light on. You froze, too shaken with horror to even scream. He was gone in a flash but the image was burned so deeply into your mind, recalling it was like looking at a photograph.

Behind you stood a man. He was tall and very muscular, his broad arms wrapped around you in a loose hug. Cuffed on his arms were thick bands, decorated with fringe. You assumed they were gems that hung from the bracelets. Part of his jaw was hidden behind your head but you could see his face well enough. He was gorgeous, you had to admit. From his sculpted jaw to his heavy brow, every feature of his was strong and beautiful. The thing that shook you the most was his eyes. They almost looked alive. Waves of deep blue stared back at you in the mirror, when you recalled them you almost felt like you were drowning.

A long time had passed since then. The shadow arm didn't appear anymore, and you never saw him again. Although, you did feel a strong presence from time to time. You could remember back when every little bump or cold spot would make you jump out of your skin. You had learned to cope with it. You almost felt like room mates. He had never done anything to harm you or simply mess with you. If anything he was very kind. You'd find your keys placed neatly on your dresser when you had flung them in the floor the last night or your book closed with a small piece of paper placed in it to save your spot. You weren't entirely sure whether these things were his doing or your own, only you forgot you did it. To be completely honest, you missed him. He had somehow become a part of you.

You stood before the table with a large box in your hands. You softly tapped your foot, staring at the table. You took a deep breath and set the box on the table, hesitantly opening it. You took out the heavy board and placed it on the other side of the table, inside the large half circle of candles. You picked up the little planchette and walked over to the other side of the table, taking a seat in the wooden chair. You stared at the board, strangely unsure. Suddenly, you felt a wave flow right through you. A felt a strong presence on the other side of the table and the hair on the back of your neck stood up.  Placing the planchette on the board, you softly rested your fingers on the small wooden item. The flames of the candles danced in the darkness of the room, the wax reflecting the orange light.

"Hey there," you said nervously, "Is anyone there?"

The planchette slowly moved to yes. Of course, that was answer you expected.

"Are you the spirit of this land? Er, the one I know?" You cringed and swallowed hard. The planchette hovered back over yes. You bit back a sigh of relief. "What is your name?"

"Wamuu"

"Wamuu? It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise"

"I've missed you," you blurted. You immediately regretted saying it.

"It has been quite some time"

"I'm not sure exactly what I should say," you let out a nervous chuckle, "How long have you been here?"

"Long before your time. This land is barely older than I"

"Oh wow." Sweat beaded on your brow. You wanted to back out, but you had only just started. Even though his presence was no longer frightening, talking to him was another battle entirely. You glanced at your watch, it was 22:34. "I should have started this earlier. Wamuu, do you think we can talk again another time?"

"Of course. If you need rest, go"

"Thank you for talking with me." You slowly moved the planchette towards 'Goodbye' when you paused. "Can I see you? Just once more."

"I am not strong enough now"

"Oh. Well, can I help?"

"You need to invite me to your world, only then will I be able to materialize"

"Okay. Well, Wamuu, I'd like for you to join me." The candles softly flickered, almost as if a small gust of air had blown over them, something like a laugh.

"I'm afraid it is not so simple" You frowned. Feeling lost, you looked down at the planchette. In the middle of the wood was a small orb, it seemed to pulse in the candle light, the glass of the orb playfully reflecting the light in an array of colors. You had an idea. You lifted the planchette and held it to your eye, looking through the glass orb. You gasped and gripped the table when you saw what was through the glass. Sitting before you was the same man you saw in your mirror. He wore a soft smile. "Clever girl." His voice was a low rumble, muffled as if he was talking from very far away.

"Whoa." was all you could manage in your stunned fright. He reached out his hand.

"Reach for me, take me back with you." A small part of you didn't trust him. You wanted to run away and burn down the whole plot of land. But you had lived with him for so long, you grew to like him. You talked to him in the shower, when you got home from work, you sung to him when you danced through the house alone. You reached your arm forwards. It was warped through the seeing-glass, appearing as if you were looking through water. You softly placed your hand in his and shuddered when you felt his tough skin. He closed his hand around yours. You pulled back, feeling like you were dragging a car through wet cement. He walked forwards as if his bottom half was stuck in mud, slogging through the watery purple vision. You felt heavier as he came closer. You pulled him close enough to wrap your arms around him when he gave a final push.

You dropped the planchette as you fell back, your chair tipping with you. You landed in a pile on the floor, a strange weight on top of you. The impact nearly knocked the breath out of you. You opened your eyes to see none other than Wamuu on top of you. You were tangled together. Although he was bearing down on you, he was almost weightless. You stared into his blue eyes, feeling yourself being sucked in. He quickly stood and offered you his hand to help you up.

"How indecent of me. I must apologize."

"It's okay," you mumbled. When you tried to take his hand, it simply went right through it. It felt as if you waved your hand through a thin sheet of water. Wamuu frowned and watched you stand beside him. "I can see you."

"I have known you for years, yet we truly meet at last." He smiled down at you. You gave him a weak smile and checked your watch again. 23:52.

"Oh wow it's really late." Wamuu nodded and watched quietly as you packed up the board, putting out the candles with a pinch. He followed you through the house and waited behind the door as you changed into pajamas. "I'm ready," you called out. You crawled into bed and he phased through the door. He sat down in the chair beside your bed and looked at you curiously.

"Sleep well."

"Do you do this every night?"

"I don't watch you very often, but doing so makes me feel..." his words trailed off. He waited quietly as you got adjusted, laying with one of your hands laying against the mattress out from under the pillow. He softly placed his hand atop yours. Instead of ice you felt oddly warm. A light blush crept across your cheeks. You closed your eyes, feeling safe as you drifted to sleep.

Chapter Text

You leaned into Esidisi's embrace, his heat seeping under your skin. He held you tight, his hands wandering to your thighs as he held you in his lap. You sighed through your nose and pressed your lips against his. Music blared from the corner of the room, the LED lights strung along the walls pulsing with the beat. You gripped his shoulders deepened the kiss. He slowly pulled away.

"I've wanted to do that forever." You giggled.

"I could keep doing this forever." He squeezed your thigh and smirked.

"We've been making out for like 10 minutes calm down." He chuckled and shrugged. You relaxed against his chest, arching your back. He placed a sloppy kiss on your cheek.

"Wanna do it for 10 more minutes?" He licked the corner of your lips.

"Ack, you're so gross!" You looked down at his dorky smile and flushed cheeks. Your heart melted as he gazed back at you with crystal eyes. "I'm so soft for you."

"Well I'm hard for you," he teased. He winked and shifted you around in his lap.

"God, you are gross!" He caught your lips in an open kiss. He fell backwards onto the pile of blankets, firmly planting his hand in the small of your back. You pulled away and kissed his forehead. "I can't believe I'm in love with you," you huffed.

"Hey, no one forced you to fall in love."

"It's probably just that stupid pretty face." You poked his cheek as he smiled.

"No need to be so mean," he whined. You rolled your eyes and grinned.

"You're such a dork, there's no way I couldn't fall in love with you. It must have been a trap."

"Wow, I love you too." He kissed you once more and pulled away with a soft sigh. He gazed up at you for a long while. "Damn."

"What's that supposed to mean?" You playfully hit his shoulder.

"How did I end up with someone like you?"

"You pulled the short straw." He laughed and kissed your forehead.

"Well I'm glad I did."

Soft footsteps echoed through the doorway. Wamuu tiptoed into the silent room, carrying a tray of food. He sat down beside a large nest of blankets and pillows and placed it on the floor. He lit a few candles around the room. You were still, your chest rising with shallow breaths. He gently stroked your cheek.

"Good Morning sleepy." You stirred a little, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. He placed a gentle hand on your shoulder as you sat up. He kissed your cheek and ruffled your hair. "Feeling better?"

"A little," you mumbled. The statement was punctuated with a sneeze. "Or not." Wamuu chuckled.

"I think Master Kars has gone mad, he insisted on making you breakfast this morning." You gave a weak laugh and pulled the tray into your lap.

"Give him my thanks for the food, and the cute delivery boy."

"Of course." He leaned in for a kiss but you turned your head away.

"No, I'm sick," you whined.

"Your silly human maladies won't affect me."

"No need to brag." You playfully shoved him away. He waited quietly as you finished your breakfast. It wasn't half bad, considering it was made by Master Kars. You wondered why he insisted on making your food, maybe he had finally gone soft. No, that wasn't likely. Wamuu took the empty tray and placed it atop your dresser in the corner of the room. When he returned, he crawled into your nest and pulled you close in his arms. He nuzzled against your neck and smiled.

"I'm gonna laugh at you if you catch my silly human malady."

"Laugh all you want but you'd be sad if I left." You sighed and shook your head.

"Whatever you say."

You sighed and leaned against the wall, taking a sip of your flat soda. You glared across the room at no one in particular. Colored lights lit up the room and created funny shadows against the walls and floor. You scanned the room for a good spot to sit down, hell you'd even settle for a spot on the floor. Someone slumped against the wall next to you and you muttered a quiet hello. He nodded and said hi back, not even looking up from his drink.

"Fun party, huh?"

"Very entertaining," he chuckled. He looked over at you with a soft smile. His eyes had the same glossy bored look you were sure you had.

"How did I even end up here?"

"I'm guessing you didn't want to say no to the invite." He was right. You giggled and shot a quick smile back at him.

"Well what about you?"

"I had nothing better to do." He shrugged and took a long draw of his drink.

"Seriously?"

"What?"

"Nothing, you just didn't seem like that type of guy." You took a closer look at him. He seemed like one of the popular guys that was always at the top of the class. He looked like he belonged in some fancy conference instead of a shitty house party hosted by the second hottest girl in your class.

"Well then, just what type of guy am I?" You shrugged. He laughed and turned away. He took one final sip of his drink and crushed the can in his hand. "This party blows. Do you like ice cream?"

"Hell yeah." He smiled at you and headed towards the door. You followed, throwing away your cup on the way out. He led you to an expensive sleek car and stepped in.

"You coming? There's nothing to be afraid of." Now that he mentioned it, there was plenty to be afraid of. You let your curiosity get the better of you and slipped into the passenger seat. The interior was nice, definitely nicer than your own car.

"Where are we going?" He checked his phone and hummed quietly to himself.

"How's Baskin Robins? It's the closest."

"Sounds good!" He turned on the radio and left the small house behind. You stared out of the window for most of the drive. Finally, he pulled into a dimly lit parking lot and parked near the store.

You stepped out of the car onto the wet pavement and waited for him before you left the car. He flashed you a casual smirk and headed into the small store. He waved you in front of him and followed after making sure his car was locked. You pushed open the door a smiled at the register, who waved back from behind the counter.

"I'll be with you in just a moment," she said through a smile. Kars walked over to the open counter that displayed the many flavors of icecream and pointed to the large tub of pistachio.

"This one's my favorite, but they're all good."

"Seriously? How does a guy like you like pistachio icecream?" He just shrugged and stuck his hands in his pockets. You looked through the display case at the many tubs of colorful icecream.

"That Rocky Road looks good. Ooh they have (F/F)!" He gave you a curious look.

"How does a girl like you like (F/F)?" You glared at him and spared a laugh.

"That's fair."

"Hey, how can I help you guys today? Would you two be interested in a couple's discount? 4 scoops for the price of 2!" The worker caught you by surprise as she seemed to appear from thin air behind the counter.

"Oh, um, I don't know-"

"Yes, please," Kars answered, cutting you off as you stuttered. He took your hand in his and twined your fingers, not even paying attention to your silent protests. He continued to order as you felt your face heat up. She turned to you with an expectant smile.

"And for you?"

"Just two scoops of (F/F), please. In a waffle cone." She punched in your order and started to prepare your icecream. Kars led you over to a bench in the corner and sat against the wall. You sat across from him and you flashed an exaggerated smirk. "You come here often?" He chuckled.

"Only if you do." He winked and glanced towards the counter. Your icecream was ready. He walked over and grabbed the cones, returning to the table with a smile. You took your cone and made eye contact with him as you licked the cold treat. He raised a brow and took a bite out of the top scoop. You cringed.

"How can you just bite into it like that?"

"You can't?" You scoffed and focused back on your icecream. It was really good. You were glad you ditched the party with a stranger and got into his car even though you didn't even know the guy. You made a mental note to not do that too often.

"Thanks for taking me out," you muttered from behind your icecream cone. He nodded in response. You finished your icecream in near silence.

Kars escorted you back to his car but stopped you on the sidewalk. He stepped in close and wrapped an arm around your waist, raising the other to softly cup your face. He leaned in so close you could smell the alcohol on his breath. Should I really have let him drive me here?? You shivered when he licked your cheek. You grabbed his wrist and a small yelp escaped your throat. He placed a quick kiss on the corner of your lips and pulled away.

"You had a bit of icecream on your face," he said, way too casually. You blushed and looked away.

"T-thanks." He let you out of his embrace and you walked the rest of the way to his car.

"No point in going back to the party now, want me to take you home?"

"Yeah that sounds great." You weren't too keen about giving this guy your address but you wouldn't think about that until later. You turned on the radio as soon as you got into your seat. The first channel to come up was classic rock.This guy has good taste. You directed him to your little apartment and reached over to turn down the radio. "Thanks for the ride home, and the icecream."

"Anytime." You studied him for a moment, looking into his guys.

"You know, I didn't peg you as the type of guy to take girls out to icecream then drive them home."

"Did you think I was the type of guy to take a girl out to icecream then never return them?" You shivered.

"Maybe. You don't have the serial killer vibe though." He laughed.

"I'll take that as a compliment," he chuckled, "Well, this is your stop. Looks like you've marked up a hefty fare."

"Woah I didn't realize I'd have to pay." He stuck out his hand and looked at you expectantly. You grasped his hand in yours and brought his knuckles to your lips.

"Does that cover it?"

"Just about." You laughed and sighed. You kissed his palm, and his wrist, and planted kisses up his forearm.

"That enough?" He shook his head and hummed. You sighed and rolled your eyes. You reached across the car and grabbed his face, squishing his cheeks together. You turned his head and kissed his cheek before making a quick exit. "Thanks for the icecream!" you yelled over your shoulder. You heard him laugh before he pulled away. You'd have to go to parties more often if it meant spending more time with him.
