Chapter Text
"Are you sure this is how you want to make your debut? I mean with you no longer being a sidekick-"
"I'm sure." You murmured softly, cutting his voice off. "This is the only way people will see me as the hero I deserve to be, have to be." Your electric blue eyes pierced the window of your apartment. Your sweater hung lazily off your shoulder and you sighed.
"The villains are moving today, I know they are, my tip is accurate." You began again, a sigh was heard on the other line.
"What if you don't make it there in time?" A rough voice spoke, a bit doubtful but mostly challenging.
You laughed a bit and grinned. "There will be plenty of opportunities, but the only way I can be number one, is to show that I'm not afraid of a fight, and I go Plus Ultra as you would say, right?"
The man laughed. "Indeed young one. Be safe, okay?"
You smiled at his trust. "Promise, always will be." You say proudly, twirling a piece of your long (h/c) hair.
"Alright hon, tell me all about it when your finished. I'll be watching the news but you know how it is."
"I will, Dad, keep a look out. I'll be the girl in red." You said, he laughed and then you both hung up. You stared out your window again and smiled.

Deep green hair bounced along as the man walked down the hall, peeking into an office, he smiled, the freckles that dotted his cheeks turning upward.
"Hey, Jem, what's the stats for the new respirator system for my suit?" Izuku Midoriya asked with the utmost confidence he didn't have in his highschool days.
"The new designs have been placed on your desk by Hatsume, she delivered them this morning Mr. Midoriya, running a bit late aren't we?" The black haired girl grinned.
"You know me, when a job needs to be done, I'm always late to do it." He laughed sheepishly, "thanks." Izuku states, giving the secretary a wave before she stopped him.
"A Mr. Toshinori is in your office sir, he said he was your teacher and wanted to speak with you so I sent him right in." Jem called. Making Izuku halt his movements. He hasn't seen his mentor in quite a long time. After Izuku left highschool they more or less parted ways, only keeping in touch every so often, but the fact that the former Pro was in his office waiting for him seemed to be more important than the last few times.
He found himself moving his feet faster to get to his office. Knocking to be polite and then opening the door, seeing All Might sitting in his office chair and smirking.
"It's your office you know, you don't have to knock." He smiled. Blonde locks flopping in his face as he stood and bowed. Izuku bowed back and laughed.
"Well, it's not every day I get to have a legend in my office is it?" Izuku said, walking to the male and shaking his hand before being pulled into a tight hug by the big man himself, which he gladly returned.
"So, how's being the number two hero?" All Might asked, taking seat in the office chair at the desk again while Midoriya picked up a manilla folder and began to flip through it. Smiling as he pulled out some new designs and upgrades to his suit and respirator.
"Well, as good as it can be I guess, I'm still striving for the top but beating Shouto Todoroki will be quite the challenge, he hasn't let up on his promise a single bit since we got out of U.A." Izuku chuckled.
All Might nodded before sighing. "As the inheriter of my quirk, it's my duty to see how you are doing."
Izuku nodded, returning his gaze to the man. "Well, I haven't found anyone to pass it on to if that's what you mean, and it's still early, I'm only 37 you know." He furrowed.
"Yes, yes, but there are a certain few who could easily ride their way to the top, I just want to make sure you're working hard. You've always been very kind to me and others, you're a true hero, but I wonder if you truly can make it to the top." The Older man rubbed his pointed chin in thought.
"Certain few?" Izuku inquired.
"Absolutely." All Might nodded.
"I guess I'll just need to work harder then. I have no doubt that there are others that can best me, but it's because of my practice and skill that put me here, not others, and not my quirk, you said it yourself, to be a hero, you have to be able to move before you can think about saving someone. And now that I can use One For All: Full Cowl at 100% I'll reach the top in no time." Izuku grinned at the confidence in himself. Yes Izuku had grown a bit cocky in his years, and somewhat prideful, bur he learned to never underestimate anyone, including himself.
All Might pulled the remote from Izuku's desk and held it up. "You mind?" He asked, Izuku chuckled and shook his head before going back over his plans again.
All Might turned the news on and flipped through different channels, stopping when he saw on the screen, a helicopter viewing screaming citizens, and Great Dane sized tarantulas heaving themselves out of manholes a giant spider walking down the street. It was large enough to stop traffic and it's legs where easily the size of houses. Maniacal laughter could be heard and the screaming continued as the spiders emerged.
"Oh my." He held a hand up to his mouth. '(Y/n), you better be careful, little girl.' His mind voiced.
"I have to go, it doesn't look like anyone is on the scene yet." Midoriya clenched his fist. "You can stay here if you want." He stated before zipping into his changing closet and suiting up.
He came back out in half a minute and opened the window. Leaping through it while green electricity crackles through his body.
"Have fun, be safe." All Might waved at him but did not take his eyes off the screen, he was waiting for something unexpected.
Midoriya leaped through the air landing on building and shooting off like a rocket again, desperate to get there for the job, he hadn't had one in a while so this was a good opportunity to get some publicity and also practice his Shoot Style at 100% he landed on top of a spider, making it squish out onto the sidewalk.
It's legs twitched before he sped away to punch and kick the next. Swinging his leg into a round house kick and bouncing off the ground, creating a crater in the asphalt as he did so, his smile widened as he got closer to the giant spider that trampled it's way down the middle of the street.
More spiders bubbled up from the sewers around him, taking stance he glanced at the arachnids and jumped he needed a survey of the area, how many he was fighting. His brain worked before the wind was knocked out of him by the mother spider knocking a leg into him and slamming him back to the earth.
How could he have forgotten about that thing?!
The huge tarantulas began to swarm over him and his body, tearing at his costume and biting his skin, hairs brushed against him and he felt overwhelmed with how many were on him. He gagged at the atrocious smell they gave off. Decay and sewage filling his nostrils to the brink that it was almost unbearable.
"Don't worry! I'm here!" A feminine and robotic voice filled his ears. The spiders where suddenly off of him and his eyes immediately opened to see another hero surfing on a wave of dirt and asphalt and even running on it. Flipping upside down as the earth curved under your feet and boosted your speed, leaving the Green haired man awestruck. You were clad in a red skin suit with earthy orange undertones. It reminded him of the pictures he had seen of the grand canyon, the metal bracers on your wrists where a brilliant gold as well as the thick anklets above your deep rouge combat boots. Your (h/c) hair was pulled back into a striking ponytail, yet a few whisps still hung loose in your face and neck, showing confidence in your style
Izuku was on his feet quickly, handling the few spiders that had came again. Although most of them where swallowed by the earth and all that was left was a field of twitching legs and a mother to take care of, along with the villain.
you jumped high in the air, letting your arms come up to take hold of a lamppost and flip forward into the dirt which was forced upward once again. You tapped a button on the dark golden respirator which made it open, revealing matte ruby red lips. You opened your mouth and sang sweetly.
The ground beneath Izuku's feet trembled and he nearly fell over with how much force the ground was shaking. The mother spider fell over and you sprang to action instantly, smashing the head of the spider. You looked back at the man who was controlling the arachnids with a beaming smile.
"Easy, or Hard?" You asked simply, if not teasingly. Tapping the button of your respirator once more which closed it.
"P-Please I-"
"Easy it is." Your electric blue eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas. A small humming could be heard and the man was encased in dirt and rubble, trapping him.
The crowd that had gathered erupted in cheers and roars of the hero, making Izuku pout beneath his own regulator. Your gaze turned and saw him, your eyes where soft. You took you respirator off and winked at him before leaving your place to answer the press' wild questions.
The latter was left totally stunned, blushing like a fool, and replaying the scene that had just unfolded not ten minutes ago in his head. Your moves where familiar, your eyes where intoxicating.
"Miss! Miss! Can you answer just a few questions please?!"
"Are you associated with any hero company?!"
"What exactly is your quirk?!"
"Are you here to help us?!"
"Everyone, everyone!" You called them to attention. "I'm a new hero hoping to make my way to the top same as everyone else. But I'm not as big a hero as Deku is, without his help, things would have been much harder." You grinned, your voice low and silky as you shot him a glace.
He narrowed his green eyes, 'Is she being sarcastic?'
"But, as for my name," you started to strut away from the camera before turning back and giving it a final dramatic glance.
"Call me, 'Uproar'." You grin and with the use of your quirk, the ground lifts you high in the air and you bounce away, making the ground in the area return to it's normal shape like magic.
Leaving everyone, including Izuku, starstruck.
