Abeno was resting in the small but pretty comfortable tea room with Mononokean. He just opened a door to the Underworld for a youkai today as always.
It was still afternoon so to prevent him to get too shagged out he tried to get a little nice nap. But, that day he couldn't take a nap easily. He tried to close his eyes several times but he ended up groaning, desperated about it.
He felt sleepy but somehow he couldn't sleep yet. He thought maybe because it was summer and it was hot not because he was thinking about his blue haired employee.
Ashiya wasn't there with him, same with Moja too. They went to a convenience store to buy some snacks and drinks.
Abeno actually was waiting for him, despite of him denying this what he would call ridiculous. He mumbled as he reached for his phone.
Mononokean was a clever youkai and it had been with the blonde haired guy for a long time. It knew what he was thinking only by looking at the master.
"Do you miss him?"
"What?" Abeno asked.
"Do you miss Ashiya? ( ๑‾̀◡‾́)"
His cheeks were kinda blushing as he got up yelling at Mononokean, "Wha-what are you talking about?! I'm not!"
He decided it would be better for him if he went outside. Abeno went outside and took a walk.
The scenery was peacefully beautiful. Then, he saw a young man running toward him. It was Ashiya and Moja on his shoulder.
"Abeno-san!" He excitedly called his name.
"Huh? What?"
"I bought ice cream and sliced watermelon ready to eat. And they were cheap too! Where is Mononokean? Let's enjoy these inside!"
"If you keep running like that you will get more sweaty."
Abeno opened a tiny winy square door and they went inside. Mononokean got interested and asked him what was inside the white plastic bag.
"Fresh food to eat in summer! Wish i could share this with you, Mononokean..."
"It's okay! I'm enjoying the moment too even though i can't eat!（‐＾▽＾‐)"
"Itadakimasu." both of them said.
They enjoyed their ice creams first before they got melted. Abeno had fruity flavored frozen stick ice cream and Ashiya had strawberry flavored cone ice cream.
Ashiya's left hand was patting Moja while his right hand was holding the ice cream. He and Moja didn't find any youkai on the way so it was fine to relax!
He offered for a taste, "Uwaaa, so delicious! Do you want some, Abeno-san?"
"N-no! Why would you?" he said looking at the man beside him with horrified questioning look but deep inside he kinda wanted this.
"Sharing, i guess? Well, you don't want me to taste yours so it's fair." Ashiya said as he excitedly took another lick but got his mouth covered and he had this strawberry mustache.
The morose master noticed and asked, "Do you have any tissue or napkin?"
"No."
"Do we, Mononokean?"
"Sadly no we never have one. ( ˃̣̣̥᷄m˂̣̣̥᷅ )"
Abeno sighed. Please be reminded he had no choises for doing this and it was not like he wanted too...
Okay, we know it was a lie. His other hand suddenly reached for Ashiya's cheek. Then went down a little to his lips. Ashiya froze in his place. He thought what was his master doing.
"Soft." he said inwardly.
His thumb wandered around Ashiya's mouth and to the lips. The employee wanted to speak but somehow he can't. He can't voice his words. He just stayed still there.
Pink liquid on the thumb gained his attention. He looked at it irritated and he had no choices so he licked it. It was surprisingly tasty for him.
Ashiya was very shocked and inwardly said, "Why would he do thaaattt?!!"
His cheeks were bright pink at that time and he became nervous around him. He, he didn't know how to act.
Abeno looked at him and asked, "Do you have a fever or what?"
"N-no."
"Then?"
"Then what Abeno-san..."
Ashiya's eyes got wider and he blushed harder than before when he saw what was written on the scroll, "You two care about each other and it was romantic! What a couple. ( ˘ ³˘♡(◡‿◡˶)"
Abeno looked at the Mononokean. It got him thinking for seconds to realize that. Abeno got annoyed and blushed again.
Mononokean irritated him to the extend Abeno wished he could get disappeared to somewhere else far far away because he was very embarassed. He realized what he just did.
"Damn, Mononokean! Can you don't speak nonsense at all for one time?"
"I do and it's when we work."
"Tch! So-sorry for that, Ashiya."
"Um, it's fine..."
He couldn't meet Ashiya's eyes right now. He didn't know what to do. Both of them didn't speak and just back enjoying the ice creams again in silence.
Moja saw upward at the two men who had been taking care of the fluffy ball since at that time. The fluffy ball snuggled to Ashiya and then to Abeno.
Moja was happy and hoped they could be more than friends. They knew these two men had feelings for each other.
Summer days sure made some unforgetable memories for them. One of them was this. They never expected this.
Ashiya opened a cold drink after finishing the ice cream. Abeno flapped a fan to get rid of unbearable hotness.
"Should we call it a day? There is no youkai anymore, ri-right?" he said as he took a sip.
"Huh? Hmm... Okay, if you say so." Abeno agreed.
"E-eehhh?! If-if i say so? Is it okay? It's not like i want to go home..."
"Then, don't go home."
"Eh?" Ashiya's heart raced.
"But, it's not like i want to you stay here too. This is not a lodge offering you a free stay!"
Ashiya smiled by how Abeno reacted and replied, "This sure does not have an onsen."
Abeno liked when Ashiya smiled. He wanted him to smile more like that. His presence made him, he didn't how to explain properly, happy? Proud?
He didn't know but one thing for sure was Abeno wanted to be beside Ashiya more often.
Mononokean secretly happy for being a witness of love growing between two teenagers, " ( o˘◡˘o)"
Summer wasn't ended yet. Never thought that summer was a great time to fall in love with someone.
