The year is 2028.
In 2008 Professor Charles Xavier's school for the gifted inspired the creation of many doppelgänger institutes around the world, some government funded and dedicated to the rehabilitation of dangerous mutants. Some, like the professor's , are privately funded by billionaires and their investors.
A few years on since their mass induction, it became apparent that similar to regular schools, the government sites lacked proper funding, and soon became not much more than half way houses for runaway teenage mutants and the homeless. The private institutes however, advertised great pride in their resources and ability to handle, and train, any mutant. If they could pay.
In 2021, global news headlines lit up when a drug cartel in Mexico stormed the American embassy and slaughtered everyone inside, declaring war on the United States. Two days later, the cartel were all dead or in prison, and what exactly happened remained a mystery to the public forever. What actually happened, was that the cartel had used their money to create their own mutant school, to train their own personal army of living weapons.
Xavier made contact with Elena Castaño, the head of Escuela Para Los Superdotados, another private school for mutants on an island in the Bahamas. She agreed the cartel were too big a threat to everyone and sent her senior team to work with the x-men to take them down.
After the incident, Xavier and Elena became close friends, and Elena had the idea of using Xavier's abilities to contact the headmasters of every private institute on earth. Xavier used Cerebro to created a psychic room where he pulled in the minds of all these people at the same time to meet. He and Elena put to them the idea of a council, for an international alliance to use only in the case of emergencies.
Of the 94 headmasters present, 86 of them said no, and went on their way. 8 of them stayed. Charles Xavier based in New York, Elena Castaño based in the Bahamas, Eva O'Leary based in Limerick, Victor Arnault based in Lyon, Vihaan Anand based in Chennai, Zhang Chanying based in Hangzhou, her brother Zhang Wei based in Tianjin, and Kim Namjoon based in Daegu.
This story is about two boys who attended Kim Namjoon's school, and went on to save the world.
