“Midoriya, do you know what’s going on with Bakugo?” Kirishima asked. Midoriya looked up from scribbling in his notebook. “He’s been in his room for hours now and I keep hearing that same theme music over and over.”
“Kacchan’s just watching his show. You really shouldn’t bother him, he doesn’t like being interrupted during it. Trust me,” he responded, clearly speaking from experience.
“It should be fine, I’m his bro,” Kirishima shrugged and continued his journey to Bakugo’s room.
As he neared, he once again heard the familiar tune of a new episode beginning. The door was slightly cracked and he was able to see the dim television. It was in that moment he realized that he had never been in his room. He quietly opened the door more, Bakugo coming into view.
He was a sight to see. Bakugo was half asleep, facing the T.V., arm and leg tossed over a body pillow with a cartoon boy on it. Kirishima followed his vision to see the same character in the show.
“Hi Cal,” Bakugo sleepily mumbled to the cartoon character, obviously not seeing the boy at the door. He cuddled the pillow closer to him.
Kirishima couldn’t believe what he had seen. He slowly backed up, pulling the door closed with him. He never thought the explosive boy could be so soft, even if it was just to a fictional character.
“I guess no one really knows what goes on in his head,” he whispered to himself, smiling and walking away.
