Chapter Text
Hey, mistii here! This fic will be my first story that I will see through till the end. To be honest, I have problems with committing to my stories, and I hit writers blocks quite a bit. While keeping those two things in mind, I will make an effort to update regularly and frequently.
This story is one I've been thinking of making for a while, and while it won't really divert from the main story, it will have some things that will be different. I hope you guys enjoy the story. Please leave comments and reviews so I know what to improve and what to change. Thank you!

Izuku had never felt this down.
He had lost to Todoroki in the Sports Festival. An impressive match, yes, but yet he did not win. In the end, the Half-Cold Half-Hot user had overwhelmed him with the sheer power of his quirk. Izuku, simply, did not stand a chance. So there he was, sitting in the infirmary with both arms in a cast. He knew Recovery Girl was scolding him, but he couldn't bring himself to listen. The green-haired boy could only stare emptily into space, thinking about how he would face his friends having lost.
"Are you feeling well, Midoryia?"
Izuku turned to face the person treating him. Recovery girl was looking at him with a look that he couldn't quite place. "Y-yes ma'am!" Izuku awkwardly spit out, going to scratch the back of his head until realizing his arms weren't exactly free at the moment. He chuckled in embarrassment. The youthful heroine looked at him weirdly before turning back to her monitor. The One For All user then stood up and excused himself to the bathroom.

Izuku was walking down the halls of the arena when he suddenly heard a sniffing noise. He turned a corner and, to his surprise, found Mina Ashido sitting down against the wall, face in her arms. She didn't appear to be crying, but when she looked up, her eyes were red.
"A-Ashido?" The pink-haired girl in question turned to look at her classmate, gold eyes meeting green eyes. She fiercely rubbed her eyes, standing up quickly. Mina then promptly smiled at him, but Izuku saw through it. He'd been doing that smile for years.
"Hey, Midoryia!" The horned girl said in a cheery tone, voice wavering, "I saw your match, you did awesome! You were like SMASH and Todoroki was all like..." She stopped talking when she saw his arms. Even though his hands were in casts, she could see the small scars that littered his hand and fingers, probably extending out to his arms. Mina looked at him softly.
"D-don't w-w-worry about m-me A-Ashido!" He tried your wave his arms, flinching in pain when he moved them slightly. The pink-skinned hero in training noticed and put her arm gently on his arms. Izuku immediately blushed a deep red. Internally, he was debating whether he should shoo her off or let the contact stay. He looked up at Mina and saw something he's never seen before. It was a look of admiration, mixed with a little worry. He was so enraptured in the fact that Mina Ashido, was looking at him with admiration that he didn't realize she was speaking.
"-you did great in your match, so don't feel down! You held your own against Todoroki! Do you know how great that is? The son of the number two hero was pushed to his limit by you Midoryia. You made it pretty far into the tournament and made a name for yourself. I bet you'll get a ton of offers!" Mina was waving her hands around excitedly, almost knocking her classmate down, "I just wish I did a little better..." It was then that Mina's demeanor fell. Instead of the usual cheery, excited girl he had seen moments before, Izuku was met by a down-trodden, wallowing girl who has overcome by grief. He took a step forward, surprising the pink-haired girl.
"Don't say that unless you can say the same about yourself!" The One For All user said with a surprising amount of confidence, "You did great in your match too! Your reflexes are amazing and the way you move around with your quirk is so creative and-" Izuku was cut off as a blur of pink slammed into him. He felt a pair of arms wrap around him and suddenly, for the second time in a span of 10 minutes, he blushed a deep red.
"A-A-Ashido w-w-what are y-you d-d-d-doing." The receiver of the hug finally squeaked out. Mina looked up at him with a smile on her face. She giggled and winked at him, making him blush deeper. After a full minute of excruciating embarrassment, she got off of him.
"Thank you, Midori!" The mischevious girl said with a mischevious grin. She then turned around and ran off, leaving Izuku wondering what just happened.

Mina skipped down the hallways excitedly. She was in a very, very good mood now that a certain someone had made her feel better. The horned girl thought back to their brief encounter, smiling to herself. He's kinda cute when he blushes. Mina gasped and slapped her hand on her face. Where did that thought come from? She shook it off and continued skipping, unaware of her feelings for her classmate.
Izuku was still a little shaken from his interaction with Mina. Not only did he manage to have a conversation with her, but she also hugged him! He blushed lightly remembering her arms wrapped around his midsection, her careful movements as to not hit him with her horns. The green-haired boy smiled to himself. Wouldn't mind if she did that again. He then shook his head to dispell the thoughts he was having. She was just caught up in the moment, she didn't mean anything of it. He wouldn't admit it to anyone, but the feeling of her arms wrapped around him was a feeling he wouldn't mind embracing again.
When Toru was sure she was alone, she squealed. She had just seen the interaction between the self-destructive boy and her best friend. The invisible girl jumped up and down, already thinking of ways to get the two together, pulling out her phone and making a group chat with some of her classmates
Operation Green-Pink has been made
Toru added "Ochako"
Toru added "Eijiro"
Toru added "Momo"
Toru added "Tsuyu"
Toru added "Sero"
Toru added "Tenya"
Toru: K guys! Welcome to the Operation Green-Pink group chat!
Ochako: What? What does 'Green-Pink' mean?
Tsuyu: Is this about Ashido? She's the only pink person I can think of.
Toru: You are correct, Tsu! The green, however, is Midoryia!
Eijiro: I'm confused.
Sero: What do Ashido and Midoryia have to do with us lmao.
Tenya: I am a bit lost as well. What do Midoryia and Ashido have to do with all of us here?
Toru: Well, my curious children, I happened to see a little interaction between the two of them.
Tsuyu: What.
Ochako: What do you mean by interaction?
Toru: It was just a simple hug. BUT, something huge can be seen here.
Sero: You made a group chat because they hugged?
Eijiro: So you want to get them together I'm guessing.
Tenya: And is it wrong to assume that you want our help?
Toru: Nope! You are not wrong, my dear Iida! We are going to get them together if it's the last thing I do.
Ochako: But what if they don't like each other?
Tsuyu: Shouldn't they have a say in this?
Toru: NO!
Sero: oh
Eijiro: I'm just gonna...
Eijiro is offline
Sero: Yeah, I want to watch the last match
Tsuyu: I am too
Ochako: My parents are calling me, sorry! We'll talk about this later though!
Tenya: I am getting a call as well. I will see you at a later date.
Sero is offline
Tsuyu is offline
Ochako is offline
Tenya is offline
With a sigh, Toru closed her phone. She'll get the others to help, she knows it. Her phone now in her hand, she walks back to her seat to watch the last match. Maybe if the match is good, Toru would be able to keep her mind off her best friend and a certain green-haired boy

"You did well, Midoryia my boy," All Might said in a proud tone, "I am glad to call you my successor." Izuku soaked up the compliment, blushing. He smiled at his idol.
"I couldn't have done it without you, All Might!" Izuku was telling the truth. Without the number one hero, the 9th user of One For All would not have made it in UA in the first place, much less a semi-finalist in the Sports Festival. Izuku will forever be grateful to his idol.
"While that may be true, it is you who made this power your own. You may lack control of One For All, but your conviction and stubbornness is something I will always admire young Midoryia," All Might put his hand on the boy's shoulder, "You helped young Todoroki see his worth, and that, my boy, is a heroic feat."
Izuku smiled so wide his face started hurting. Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked at his predecessor. All Might then ruffled his unruly hair and walked off. As Izuku watched his idol walk, his thoughts drifted to a couple of hours before. The interaction with Ashido was weird, but not exactly unwelcome. She's cute when she smiles. Izuku slapped himself, his arms finally free from the cast. Where the hell did that thought come from? Sure, Ashido was attractive, and Izuku would be lying if he said the physical contact didn't excite him, but his thoughts were getting out of hand. Even if I had feelings for her, why would she ever have feelings for me? The green-haired boy thought. Even if he liked Ashido, would she reciprocate those feelings? Would she like him back? Izuku doubted that. He knows he's not very sociable, and even when he tries to be, he ends up fumbling for the right words to say. The concept of a friend was still new to him, but a girlfriend? The thought was too much for the timid boy. He promptly blushed and chuckled to himself, walking to his classroom for a briefing Aizawa-sensei was supposed to give.
Mina was rocking back and forth on the balks of her feet, waiting at the train station for a certain shy boy. She had her phone out, her hands shaking. Saying that she was nervous would be an understatement. The acid user spotted a tuft of green hair and immediately steeled her nerves. It was now or never
"Midori!" Mina called out, waving her hand. The boy in question caught her eye, blushing and timidly waving back. The overly-excited girl ran up to him. She put her hand on his shoulder and looked at him dead in the eye.
"O-oh, hey A-A-Ashido," The One For All inheritor blushed, their faces only inches apart.
"G-gimme your phone number!" Mina said as she lightly blushed. The same could not be said for Izuku, however, as he blushed a deep red.
"W-what?" Izuku exclaimed. A girl was asking for his number. A very attractive girl at that. The blushing boy fumbled for his phone in his pocket, opening up his contacts app and giving Mina his phone. She gave him hers and they exchanged phone numbers. Izuku blushed when he saw what Mina put as her contact.
~Mina Ashido~
A train pulled up and Mina looked up from her phone.
"Anyways Midori, I gotta go," She started jogging to the train, "I'll see you tomorrow though!" Mina waved at him as she boarded her train. Izuku waved back, grin on his face the whole time. This day couldn't have gotten any better.

Izuku lied. The day could get better. When he arrived home, his mom was in the kitchen, making what smelled suspiciously like katsudon.
"Mom! I'm home!" Izuku called to his mom, kicking off his shoes at the entrance. Suddenly, a blur of green appeared and crashed into him. He chuckled awkwardly and accepted his mom's embrace. Izuku then braced himself for the tears that his mom would shed retelling her side of the Sports Festival
"...Seven times, Izuku! I fainted seven times!" Inko rambled on. Izuku had come home to his mom crying and fretting over him. She only calmed down after he told her 13 times that he was fine. Then the short-statured women saw his scars and promptly began crying again. Izuku had to assure her he was fine again. Inko smiled at her son and began setting up the dinner table, calling her son to help with the food. As the green-haired boy was getting the table ready, he decided that today was a success.

If you made it this far, I hope that means you guys enjoyed the first chapter. This actually took me quite a bit because I had to delete a lot of it. It was sounding repetitive and I don't really like repetitive stories, so I hope the length is up to par. Anyways, I'm feeling really inspired, so the next chapter may be out sooner than you think! Please leave reviews so I know what I can improve. Thanks for reading!
