This time, the adventure would be more intriguing, (lol, I am just saying, I would strive to do better)

Jimin's P.O.V

"Quick, Jimin! You need to leave from the cave, there you will find a portal, directly teleport to the city of your cousin, that distant cousin of yours that you met at the party,"  her raspy voice sounded stern and broken, as the skin of her neck sported dark bluish finger marks.

"Mom, you are not oka-" I tried reminding her of her drowsy state, her pale body frail and short, thin enough to be passed as a skeleton. I started to cry but she tugged me along without stopping, as if her steps had a mind of their own. Her eyes wide and restless, the trembling fingers clutching tightly onto my wrist. It made me uneasy, even if she was trying not to hurt me with her strength.

We hurried along, as a dark eerie cave greeted us, sitting right in front, hidden beneath the green foliage that was in our back forest. This part of the forest I had never seen before, but with all the drama unfolding in our family, I did not have time to dwell on the scenery.

Even if my eyes were bleary with tears, and face taut with semi-dried salt, I rubbed my nose and glanced at the high steep hill right above the cave. It wasn't very high, but enough to give a sense of capture, a sense of suffocation.

"Go," she ordered, her face looking troubled with an unease I had seen many times.

I stood still, reluctant to part with her, but her lips started to wobble, her eyes distraught, and the same as me, shining brightly with unshed tears. "Please go, leave me alone..."

Startled, I hesitated, "Mom? You are just trying to make me go awa-"

"Scram," she coldly retorted, "because of you I suffered so much, and today he almost killed me, I don't want to see you around. D-Don't tell me you w-want me dead..."

By the end of the phrase, she started crying, and I couldn't console her, even my wolf instinct wasn't as strong as the rest, and I did not know what emotions she was really feeling, if she was even distraught for me, or was just trying to get rid of me. I cared for her, I trusted her, but did she? I hoped she would.

I was still 8, but even with a child's mind I knew the world was not good to my mom. She was an actor, who had fallen from grace after my birth. At times she would protect me, or at times, she would flinch when I tried to touch her.

I did not understand adults, they were annoying, and very unreasonable... I tried my best with all of my might, but they always spouted nonsense about me, calling me a 'child born with silver spoon'. They were jealous, they were selfish, they were greedy, and I did not like them.

Only my mom, accepted me, even if she was just another 'woman' for my dad.

But today, 'They' came, the ones who were always dressed in black, their eyes were shaded with black sunglasses, and the uniform they wore looked combat type.

Their aura always scared me, it was something about them which made me whimper in my dreams, and my heart would quicken in fear. So I avoided them.

But today, I couldn't, as they caught up to me and barged inside my room, ropes and tasers in their hands, their heavy black boots thumping on the wooden floor, almost cracking it into pieces.

"You cannot enter inside, I do not care which organisation you are from!" dad had shouted at them as mom came running from somewhere and under the chilling gaze of my dad, she shifted through and came to my rescue.

"You cannot hide him forever, you are powerless, we need to take him back with us." They had said, their monotone scrapping me with a sudden fright, as I grasped the warm hand of my mom and hid behind her, her body acting as the shield to my nightmare.

"Get the f**k out, I don't know which slut owns you, you dared to defile my home!"

I flinched, closing my eyes, as dad cursed at them and angrily told them to leave.

I had expected them to act against my dad, but they looked at each other and finally left the room with a stunning flicker, disappearing into thin air.

"Take him away," my dad had grumbled at my mother, "he cannot stay any longer."

"But they-"

Dad didn't let my mother speak, immediately slapping her and choking her neck. His eyes turning a fierce red, as his aura flared up, making my body feel heavy, enough to make me stumble down on my knees.

I couldn't hear what he said to mom, but he almost threw her to her death and marched away angrily, the heavy aura receding and my mom trembling like a leaf.

And that is how we managed to make it to the back forest, as my mother half hugged me, leaving me inside the cave. "Go," she had ordered, and now, I stood staring at her faint figure, which stumbled upon the roots of the trees and disappeared into the dense woods, leaving me alone.

My nose felt sour, as the urge to cry made me hurt, yet looking at my situation, I was not going to have any help from anyone, I was alone in this. No crying would help.

So leaving through the forest cave, I ended up stumbling my way to the other end. Even the daylight had been taken over by the night, and I was hungrily looking at the only source of light which was the moon.

"Will mom come for me?" I asked, even though I knew the answer, I knew she wouldn't come looking for me, I knew she couldn't.

"Why?" I asked to no one in particular, standing in the desolated patch of land surrounded with thick woods, a strange circle marking the stony clearance.

I could see words written over on it, but I couldn't read them, it was like a rune, ancient and barely visible.

But having the wolf gene, I did see it clearly, it was precisely the same portal my mom had been talking about.

She wanted me to run away and find my cousin, however, I did not know where her mansion was, if she was even living in that mansion.

I had heard from mom that she gave away her fortune and instead married some local goon who considered himself omnipotent.

Whatever the case, now I could only rely on her. She had been warm though... like a furnace. She smelled sweet, just like my mom, but she hadn't flinched away when I had touched her, so smiling to myself, I cut my thumb and shed some blood on the portal.

I was familiar with it anyway, my mom and dad would always need my blood for something or the other, however this was the first time I was using a portal.

Not having enough time to get excited, a bright light engulfed me and I felt my insides churning.

I blinked.

And as soon as I felt my legs getting stable again, I puked on the sideway. Barely avoiding someone's car that was parked on the sidewalk.

The smell of pollen seeds itched my nose, but I carefully stood up straight and looked around.

I had thought that portals connected with each other, but how come there was no rune or circle drawn beneath my feet?

I looked down, trying to know why I was standing on a road beside a car, in a rundown place with a rundown shack not far. The lights were still on, but the humble dwelling really made me anxious. Didn't the movies always showed thieves and robbers hiding in such desolated places?

"Who is there? I can smell that pungent vomit!" a loud male voice made me jump, which I realized was coming from inside the shack.

I hastily tried to run away, but the door of the shack had already opened, and there stood a young man in his early 20s, the hair an odd mint green which baffled even me, the younger generation who was aware of all sorts of hair styles worn by young people these days.

But rarely would they wear such minty green hair in fear they would look too colourful.

"You!" he strode towards me with his hands in his pocket, his face set with a frown as he scanned me. "Where did you pop up from? Is it fun to violate my street with your stench?"

"I... I am sorry, I just came here to..."

"To vomit?"

"N-No!"

"Then? I don't have all night, my mate is waiting."

I felt anxious, even more so under the tone he used, I never had liked people with such strong bearing, they looked scary, just like my dad.

But he wasn't very tall, although, sure enough, for a child of my age he was very overbearing. "Do you know someone by the name of Margret?" I dared to ask, quivering under his gaze.

"We never had a child and she doesn't do illegitimate, so who are you punk?"

I shuffled uneasily on my feet, "I... I don't understand what you mean but, Margret is my cousin? Will mister... tell me if he knows her?"

"Ah..." he sighed, "so you are that rich cousin... I see... well," he yawned, "why are you here," he felt a bit relaxed now, the sudden change making me even more tensed. "We won't sell our land to you," he declared with boredom, "tell your bastard father that we are not canon fodder, and even if a child in his crib cried to us, we won't sell the land, what is he even trying to achieve, sending a milk scented brat here."

I shook my head, this man was really too presumptuous and air headed, he wasn't even listening to me. "Well, I... my mom said to look for my cousin, and I hope you can... let me s-stay with you...?"

The mint man only stared at me emptily, "...then where is child support, we won't raise a leech."

I helplessly stared back... child support?

A/N - Surprise?? I wanted to post this later, but I had time, so I... posted? This is a sequel to True Alpha, so if you haven't read that... please do so.

[EDITED VERSION]

A/N - I got a new editor, but they went to sleep before I could ask them to introduce themselves. Next time I would make sure to ask them for an intro. They even told me that there were very little mistakes and overall the chapter was good, so I was very glad, it showed how much I improved from my time with True Alpha to now.
