Work Text:

It was a Friday night, and the swim club had decided to go out to a bar and invited their graduated seniors back for a mini reunion. Fortunately, all of the graduated seniors had ticked yes that they were coming, and all were here except Win. He had work. Boring, boring work. And it had ran later than he expected. He was usually never in a rush to get out of the office. Most of his nights consisted of coming home to his boyfriend, having dinner, and talking with the other about his day until Team was too annoyed with Win's flirty antics and shoved him into bed.

And that, clearly, was a perfect formula to Win, so it wasn't that he wasn't as fond of seeing Team, but tonight was different and he would get to see some of his old friends from college, so he was excited to go out.

By the time Win had arrived, though, Team was already too drunk from too little alcohol. When the blonde made his way through the front door, he first spotted Dean and Pruk and some other graduated members around a table, chatting.

"Hey, sorry I'm late," he said as he approached.

"Fashionably late I see," one of the boys quipped, eliciting laughs from the group.

"Got to make a special entrance," he smirked, taking a seat on one of the open bar stools. Immediately after, a cacophony of laughter rose from a nearby table, causing the group to turn towards them. Win easily picked out Team's higher pitched drunk laugh. He was seated at a table with some of his club friends, and a lot of young students Win didn't recognize.

Dean pointed a thumb behind himself and said, "your boyfriends over there with some of the freshman. And he's already drunk out of his mind," Win nodded and smiled fondly in Team's direction, while he poured his own glass of alcohol from the bottle on the table.

The blonde caught up with his friends for a few more minutes before a DJ came over the loudspeaker announcing he would start to play some 'epic remixes' and encouraging everyone to the floor. Clearly, Team and most of the other drunk freshman found it a fun idea and they all shuffled off of their seats. All of the seniors gave off amused laughs because it was always fun watching freshman dance after having had their first taste of alcohol.

As Team started towards the dance floor, a giddy smile on his face, he caught Win's eye and started in his direction instead.

"Hia, I didn't know you were here," he mumbled.

Win placed a hand gently on Team's hip, hoping he was drunk enough to not reject the mild display of affection, "hey baby."

From up close, the drunk blush across Team's cheeks and down his neck was so cute Win just wanted to squeeze him until he popped.

"Um, well, I'm going to dance do you want to come?" The smile came back across his face, and Win was just so love struck. There was a giggle bubbling at the back of his throat.

"No baby, I'm good."

"Okay."

"Have fun," WIn said with a smirk that was more fond than snarky.

"I will, hia, bye!" Team finished and scampered off to find his friends, waving sheepishly back at Win. The blonde was fully aware of all of his friends gearing up to tease him, and fully aware of the little-schoolgirl's-first-crush expression on his face, but he didn't care. Team was the cutest thing to exist, he's so surprised Team hadn't already been snatched up long before Win found him.

"I still can't believe it," Win looked up at one of his friends, "you and Team. Never could have guessed."

Win smiled, dipping back into his own glass of alcohol.

"Yeah, Team always acts like he hates you, I can't believe you guys have been dating for so long," another friend piped.

"Well, he loves me. He's just more affectionate when it's us two," Win said, and it seemed he said it in the wrong tone because the friend looked back at him like he was about to take back his statement.

"And that's all that matters, that he loves you," Dean said, and everyone hummed in agreement.

"Getting a visit from Dean the philosopher today, are we?" Win commented, causing his best friend to curse him out, as per usual.

After some time dancing, Team pranced back over to Win, pointedly drunker, giggling. He leaned over, mouth up against his boyfriends ear and whispered something that made Win light up like a Christmas tree. Then Team, drunk and very, very distractible, wandered back over to his friends again.

"What was that?" Dean asked. Win's smile only got wider.

"You wanna know what he said?" The blonde asked, facing his friend. Dean shook his head, but Win leaned in slightly and told him anyways.

"He wants to get ice cream."

"Oh," Dean responded, a little relieved.

"I think that's my cue to leave," Win said, putting his glass down and getting up from his chair.

After corralling Team into his car, and waving bye to all his friends, Win made his way to a restaurant that he remembered his boyfriend having said had the best ice cream.

"Ooh! I love this place!" Team said, perking up when he saw the lit up sign outside his window. Win smiled, yet again.

"Yeah."

"Are we going in, hia?"

"Of course, baby." Team responded with a cheer and Win narrowly avoided reaching over to pinch his cheeks in favor of parking the car safely. They sat at a table outside, Team got chocolate chip ice cream, and Win just ordered vanilla because Team forced him to get 'something.' Though the only thing Win wanted to eat right now was Team, he kept that to himself and ordered the first thing he thought of, he really wasn't picky anyways.

"Mm, hia, it's so creamy," Team suddenly blurted, making a sound that bordered on a moan at the taste of his ice cream. The blonde snorted and tried not to laugh.

"Baby, watch your words, we're in public," Win said, although there was no one else on the patio. Team frowned.

"But, hia, it's good."

"Then just say that baby," he said, then reached his spoon over and took some ice cream from Team's bowl.

"Hia! You're stealing!" Team exclaimed with every bit of incredulity.

"It's just ice cream, honey."

"But it's my ice cream!"

Win choked down another laugh and just said, "sorry baby."

It was only after they had bustled home and Win had helped Team shower and change and they were laying in bed that Team, on the edge of sleep, asked, "hia, what time do you have to be at work tomorrow?"

"Early, baby, why?" Win didn't see it, but Team's eyes fluttered open for a second.

"Can you meet me for lunch? I miss you," the blonde smiled, knowing Team was only being so honest because he was still a little tipsy.

"I'll check my schedule and let you know, okay?" He said, smacking a kiss onto Team's ear, which made the younger squirm around. Win just tightened his hold around Team's waist and said, "goodnight, baby," before they both slipped into their dream worlds.
