Work Text:
Seoul was still foreign to him. It had been 6 months in the city yet Hoseok still found it weird at times. The city was too fast for him. Something like the fast beats of the song he tried to match up at times. But dancing gave him happiness, Seoul not that much. Had it not been for better job opportunities, Hoseok would never have opened a dance studio here. But it paid well. There are some damn rich people who will pay good amounts to have their little ones dance to accuracy and grace. Hoseok deeply loathed such pressures they put on kids but they pay him and he runs his family so there is not much he could do.
However, there is one thing Hoseok liked about the loud place. The thing he liked, was actually a cute baker who would get up at early, in the breezy mornings of the city, to open his café and make delicious treats. Had it not been for the glass display of the bakery, Hoseok would never have witnessed the little artist at work. It had been 6 months and he still took two hours out of his day to sit outside his dance studio and look at the baker working. Thanks to his Samsung phone, he could zoom in on his work.
Yoongi had grown accustomed to the city in a way. Five years ago, when he came here with his brother Taehyung, he was scared of everything. Had his parents and brother not supported his dream to ace the culinary school and then of having his own bakery, he couldn’t have done anything here. The worst was that he was at loss of words most of the times. People here are rude and fast and don’t care. They don’t care that Yoongi has to take time to understand and explain them things with his hands but they don’t wait. The boy hates it. It’s always Tae who talks to people for him. He hates it. He wants to talk too. He wants to be heard too. That’s why Yoongi uses his art to speak his mind. Days when he is happy, the sweetest of desserts leave his kitchen, days when he is sad, desserts are less sweet and have more dark chocolate in them or there are dry breads. Days that are normal have him making something new. But no matter what, it always turns out to be tasty cause he does put in his love for baking no matter what he feels.
Yoongi rarely had any time while working but he wasn’t unaware of the boy across the street looking at him. He knew and he felt scared when he noticed the man across the street point his phone while looking at Yoongi but Tae later cleared it out to him that he just liked watching Yoongi working, closely. Yoongi had become so red hearing that, that he ran to his room and didn’t talk to Tae about it for 2-3 days cause his brother kept teasing him. So yes, Yoongi knew that the boy across the street liked him. He knew the boy used his phone to look at Yoongi’s work but then why did the boy never come talk to him? Does he not like him cause Yoongi is mute? Why must life be sooooo unfair? :(
***
It had been eight months...eight months!! But the boy had still not approached Yoongi. He had actually given up by now but why must the boy talk to Tae and not him? Why would he always smile and nod but not say anything? Yoongi couldn’t even say anything to Tae cause of the teasing but he wanted something to happen. He really wanted something to happen.
Hoseok on the other hand, was trying, okay. He was trying very hard to prepare himself before he met his crush. He had been trying since the first time Tae caught him with the phone and was going to punch him but he somehow saved himself. It took him another two weeks and some treats to finally tell his new friend that he actually has a crush on his friend’s elder brother. He still remembers how frightened he was about Tae beating him up for liking Yoongi but instead of that, Tae hugged him and started calling him hyung. The very same night, Tae also told Hoseok that Yoongi was mute and that he was very shy and introvert. Hearing that, Hoseok’s heart sank immediately. How was he supposed to tell Yoongi how he feels? What if he does something wrong and ends up offending him? No! No! that couldn’t happen.
“What are you thinking hyung?” Tae asked him.
“I am scared I won’t have a chance with your brother.” the other sulked making Tae turn towards him with a serious face.
“Why? Cause he is-”
“No Tae! It’s not because of what he is! It’s because I am scared, I am not good enough for him. I mean I don’t even know how to talk to him. What if I hurt him unknowingly? What if I want to say something and end up saying something wrong?”
Tae heard him. Tae heard him being worried about the same things that once troubled Tae himself.
“What if I help you learn sign language?”
“Huh?”
“Hyung uses sign language. If I teach you that, you can talk to hyung.”
Tae sat there waiting for a response while Hoseok’s face went from a sad puppy that had been kicked to the happiest man on the planet.
“YOU WILL?!! YOU WILL HELP ME? TAE, I LOVE YOU!!” Hoseok jumped on the younger to show how happy this all really made him.
“I promise to learn everything properly before approaching Yoongi. I want to be the best boyfriend he ever had!!”
“Okay hold your horses hyung, boyfriend already?” Tae giggled.
“Hey! I will be his boyfriend and spoil him, you just see.”
“Fine hyung fine! I would love to see that too.”
And that’s how a promise was made by Hoseok six months ago.

The country was witnessing fall now. There was slight coolness in the air but the sun still shone brightly at daytime. Hoseok was busy with his dance routine for a school program and it had been approximately 3 days since he last saw Yoongi. His mind was all over the place but by the time he got free, Tae would usually close the bakery and go. And Yoongi’s absence was getting to him. He really needed to see the baker. He really did.
******
The next morning Hoseok left his house earlier than usual and went to sit outside the café, hoping to meet and ask Tae about Yoongi. Since it was way too early for him, he didn’t even realise when he fell asleep, with his head on top of his crossed hands that he had on the table.
When Yoongi came to the café in the morning, he wasn’t expecting a customer already. As he moved closer to the man, he saw that he was actually sleeping.
Now that set Yoongi off.
Why would someone be waiting here in this cold climate for something? None of the shops even open now. Wait! What if it was a poor homeless man without any food? Yoongi got scared thinking about the man’s wellbeing. He tried to nudge him because he couldn’t shout. Even Tae wasn’t here to help him. Yoongi tried his best to shake the man but it was only when he smacked the man on his back with all force that the man wake up.
“What huh what the-…”
Yoongi looked at the man and froze.
“Oh hey-… hi!” Hoseok stood up facing Yoongi.
Yoongi however was still in shock. What was the man doing here? His name… ho... Hoseok... he remembers Tae telling it to him.
“I-... it’s just that you weren’t here for three days and I got worried so I came early to see if you are okay.” he said.
Before Yoongi could do anything, he sneezed and that was enough to answer the man’s question.
“So you have been sick.”
Yoongi nodded.
“I really hope you are better now. I don’t want to see my favorite baker sick and sad.”
Now that made Yoongi smile and look at the Hoseok.
“Uhmm...” Hoseok looked around “can I help with those bags?”
Yoongi turned towards all the things he had got and honestly, he didn’t need help but letting go an opportunity like this would be stupid so he nodded innocently receiving a smile from Hoseok in return.
Once the boys were inside, Hoseok turned to ask Yoongi about more help that he could do but Yoongi just pointed at the small couch asking him to sit. Hoseok wanted to sit, but when he saw that Yoongi was cleaning the tables, he got up and gently took the cloth out of the latter’s hand.
“How about I clean these and you go start on your magic?”
Yoongi looked him blankly. Actually, he was in dilemma. Should he let his guest work or should he not let him work? Of course no! ..So he tugged the cloth out of Hoseok’s hand but the other held it tightly. There was a little tug of war before Hoseok used his other hand to gently make Yoongi’s hold on the cloth loose.
“Do you not think of me as a friend? Can a friend not help you?” he tried to convince the baker.
Yoongi opened his mouth but then shut it again like a fish and shook his head saying a ‘no’.
“So then? Why not you go ahead with your work and I quickly clean this up and then help you with other things?”
Yoongi looked at Hoseok with blush on his cheeks.
Thinking for a while,he looked towards the dance studio and then at Hobi.
“Oh I have an off today. It’s the day after the show so I have given my students a holiday today. I am free the whole day.” Hoseok scratched his head making Yoongi giggle silently and after a little shy stare off, the boys were back to work.
As the cleaning was done, Hoseok entered the cooking area. Yoongi was working on something and the glass that helped him look at Yoongi looked really misty so he went to clean that. After that he quietly stood beside the baker, at a respectable distance, of course, and tried to see what the baker was doing.
Yoongi was so lost in his work that he didn’t even notice someone beside him. With a small concentrated blep and skilled hands, he kept decorating his cake.
“That looks beautiful!”
The sudden compliment made Yoongi flinch and mess up a bit and when he turned to look at the cake, the blep got replaced by a pout and Hoseok honestly just wanted to cup those cute cheeks and kiss the pout away.
“I am sorry I did that!”
Yoongi looked at him sadly but shook his head refusing with what Hoseok just said. That made the latter panic further. It wasn’t even an hour and he had made the cute baker sad.
“Can I help you with it? I can try I swear…please I can-..”
Yoongi stopped him by placing his hand on the other’s chest and smiled to show that it was okay but Hoseok still kept looking at the cake.
A few minutes later, Yoongi held his hand and took him to other station and kept a bowl before him. He then moved to get some eggs and a whisk. All this while, Hoseok kept looking at the boy. Once Yoongi was done, he held the whisk in one hand and with the other held Hoseok’s hand. Then he slowly placed the handle of the whisk in the latter’s hand and pressed on it.
Hoseok understanding what he wanted, held the whisk, and then kept looking at Yoongi for further instructions. Yoongi blushed under the intense gaze but moved away and then showed him how to crack open an egg and separated the yolk in one bowl and the whites in another. He did the same thing six times before adding powdered sugar to the yolks and sliding the bowl to him. Hoseok smiled and started whisking while the other continued with his own work. And just like that they ended up making four cakes and two kinds of fruit breads. To end their cute little cooking session, Hoseok actually recorded Yoongi making chocolate cake and then promised that he would upload it on his Instagram and promote the bakery.
…..
“Soo …if you are done by your usual time tonight…. I would I mean…” Hobi started as he tried to untie his apron.
Yoongi smiled at him to continue.
“I mean... like there is this coffee shop down the street… and I was thinking if we could-”
All of a sudden, Yoongi left the kitchen.
Now that worried Hoseok again. Did he screw it all again? Why must he be such a fool!? When he looked again, Yoongi was there in front of him with a fancy blackboard and there on it was written “I could make coffee too”.
If words failed to get to him, Yoongi’s pout definitely did the work. Yoongi wanted him to come here for coffee instead of going somewhere else and this realization made Hoseok giggle.
“So you want to have coffee with me… here?”
Yoongi nodded cutely.
“But I will pay for it.”
Yoongi pouted and shook his head as a ‘no’.
“Well then, I am not coming here then.”
Yoongi pouted again and there was a stare off but alas! Yoongi’s powers failed before Hoseok’s cute heart smile and he nodded in defeat.
“So I meet you at 9 tonight?”
Yoongi nodded again with a bright gummy smile.
“Well in that case I should go and get ready for tonight and also” Hoseok took a deep breath before bringing his hands forward to say it out in signs “thank you for letting me help and record you baking today. I am really honoured.”
Okay not going to lie, that actually surprised Yoongi. How can Hoseok… wait was Hoseok mute too? But he can speak, Yoongi definitely heard him. Then was he deaf? No it can’t be. He literally saw him a million times with a headset on and dancing to himself. Then how?
“How do you?” Yoongi gestured to him.
“Oh I learnt it for a friend and well yeah.” Hoseok smiled making Yoongi sigh and laugh quietly.
“I guess I should go then.” he said but still standing in his place.
None of them moved or did anything and Hoseok finally got the queue to leave, but as he took a few steps towards the door, Yoongi held his wrist to stop him. The little baker then made him face himself and he moved closer till their chests almost touched. After a few seconds of silent staring, Yoongi got up on his tippy toes and kissed both of Hoseok’s cheeks.
“Thank you.” he then said in a gesture.
And well Hoseok was just too shocked and over the moon to say anything.
***
The next time Hoseok visited the café that day, he saw Yoongi pushing Tae out of it. The younger one was whining but after a little tussle, Tae was out and Yoongi closed the café door on his face. Seeing Hoseok at a distance, Tae jogged up to him.
“Now what did you do?” Hoseok asked immediately.
“I absolutely had nothing to do. Hyung is acting weird. First, he messaged me to come late in the morning and now he won’t even let me close the café with him. Aish this hyung is crazy.”
“Don’t say that.”
“Why are you holding flowers?” Taehyung looked at Hoseok with a puzzled expression and slowly the expression turned to one of amusement as the gears in his mind started working.
“YOU HAVE A DATE!!”
“Could you not shout?”
“HYUNG YOU HAVE A DATE AND YOONGI HYUNG DRESSED UP EXTRA WELL. YOU BOTH HAVE A DATE AT THE CAFÉ OH MY GOD!!!”
“Taehyung can you not shout?”
“MY SHIP IS SAILING.”
“I will drown you.”
Tae then stopped.
“This is what your boyfriend tells me too.”
“He is not my boyfriend-”
“YET!”
“Yet but yeah let’s be hopeful.”
“So hyung after the date-” and the Tae made kissing face earning a smack from Hoseok “Ouch! Anyways please get him home safely or just call me and I will pick him up.”
“I will get him home.”
“Your home or his home?” Tae laughed and jogged away before getting another smack on his head.
“Aish this boy really.”
……
When Hoseok finally did enter the café, it was nothing like the place he saw in the, morning. The lights were dimmer and the whole place smelled faintly of cinnamon and freshly made coffee and maybe even chocolate. Overall it was calm and peaceful and there was his date, setting up an already set up table.
“Yoongi?”
Yoongi immediately turned to him and smiled. Hoseok took his chance to rush to him and well he did want to lean in and kiss but the damn bouquet came in between.
“Oh! This is…this is for you.”
Yoongi smiled and smelled the flowers and then gave his beautiful gummy smile in response.
Holding Hoseok’s hand, he made him sit while gesturing to wait there as he kept the flowers on table next to them. When he did come back, he had a huge tray in his hand with two cups of coffee, some brownies with ice cream and some cinnamon rolls and waffles.
“You really didn’t have to do so much…oh my god! This brownie looks like a squirrel Yoongi!”
Yoongi nodded and said “I know!”
“It’s cute.”
“You look like a squirrel so…” the baker tried to say it all, a little hesitant at the end if the other got it or not.
“I do?”
“Yes!” he nodded and shyed away.
“Well then you look like a small fluffy kitten!”
The date went smoothly. They didn’t even know but they ended up being in the café for three hours…talking about everything and anything. Somewhere in between, Hoseok did ask why they were having ice cream in such cold weather and Yoongi shoved it off saying “if not in cold then what’s the point coward”
Talking to Yoongi was so easy and calming that Hoseok just had no problem. He really was panicking over nothing. Yoongi was so patient with him and even if he got many signs wrong, Yoongi ended up understanding and replying properly. If there was still something left unsaid, the menu board helped them writing it down. At the end of the date, they exchanged numbers and both of them locked the café after which Hoseok hailed a cab and got Yoongi home. At the doorstep Taehyung teased them a bit but Yoongi successfully pushed him inside the house and closed the door again.
“So today… thank you for today Yoongi-ah. I mean… its... thank you for letting me have a date with you. I never thought you would say yes.”
Well that made Yoongi tilt his head in confusion.
“No don’t take me wrong, it’s just that you are so beautiful and out of my league.”
Thanks to the stairs this time, Yoongi didn’t have to tippy toe to kiss Hoseok. He leaned in and kissed his cheek making the latter quiet.
“Yoongi-”
“Please don’t ever say that. You are amazing. I was actually thinking why it took so long for you to ask me.” Yoongi tried to best to gesture it out given how close they were.
“I’m sorry I guess...I just wanted to be ready and all before I actually met you.” making Yoongi smile in joy once more.
It was quiet for the next few minutes. Not the bad kind of quiet, just the kind of quiet that calms one down, a homely kind of warm quiet.
Until Hoseok broke it.
“So this date ends here, I guess. I was thinking if you are free next week. There is this movie and-”
Yoongi already started nodded excitedly before he could even finish.
“Oh okiieeeee. I will get the tickets.”
There it was again, the staring and adoring. Yoongi still held onto Hoseok’s hand and they still kept smiling at each other like crazy kids. Finally Hoseok moved to cup the other’s face.
“Thank you for giving me a chance.” and he kissed Yoongi’s forehead and nose. “Good night kitty!”
Yoongi kissed his cheek and wished him the same.
****
See it was exactly seven days to the next date and Hoseok had no business searching the ticket site at four in the morning for the best seats. Literally sleeping was not an option for him. He just got a confirmation from Yoongi last night and he searched all of Seoul’s movie theatres for the best seats and best area around. Like, ‘Hoseok chill’ , his mind said but his heart was on a mission- mission to woe Yoongi off his god damn tiny feet. Okay his feet weren’t tiny but the man was tiny. Tiny enough to come in Hoseok’s Balengcia bag he got as a birthday present. Whatever it was, Hoseok wasn’t stopping just at a movie date. How low would that be? He needed something more. He needed to make this date the best... and he was so on it.
****
Sundays are supposed to be Jimin days. So when Taehyung got a call right when he was eating Jimin’s face off, it made Jimin whine and push the other off him.
“The fuck is your phone ringing at six in the morning for? I told you to complete everything.”
“I swear I did my work damn it!”
“Pick it up right now and then come back here.” Jimin pointed at the bed.
Tae nodded frantically and then rushed to get the call.
“Hoseokie hyung? Now is not the time to call!”
“I am sorry you must be sleeping.”
“I wasn’t.”
“Then what’s the thing you were busy with?”
“Not important.”
“Jimin?”
“Screw you hyung!”
All Tae got in response was a chuckle.
“Make it quick hyung he is waiting.”
“Who is it?” Jimin asked from behind him.
“Hoseokie hyung.”
“Hmm.” Jimin nodded.
“Okay I actually needed help with my next date.”
“What is he saying?” Jimin nudged Tae.
“About the next date-”and before Tae could even complete the sentence, Jimin snatched the phone out of his and put it on speaker.
“HEY!” Tae shouted.
“Hyung tell me everything I will help.”
“Okay I trust you more than Tae anyway.”
“HEY YOU TOO!!”
“I was thinking of taking him to see fireworks after the movie and some restaurant for dinner.”
“Bleh... bleh …. blehhhhh idea.” Jimin said loudly.
“That was rude.” Hoseok whined.
“That was the truth.”
“Honestly, that was funny.” Tae giggled.
“Shut up!” the other two shouted in unison.
“So here is what we will do. You go take him to the movies. You then take him to the autumn fair. We will meet you there. And before that we need to collect all the things Yoongi hyung likes. I know the area well so I with Tae, will set up a cute date near the river side just a little away from the fair. We need to decide dress and gifts too. Hyung really like tangerines, gummy bears, chocolates, ice coffee, meat-”
“Stop please it looks like you are in love with him.” Tae said.
“I just know him well. Plus he is so cute and talkative with all that pout.” Jimin spoke dreamily.
“Damn tell me about it. That pout and cheeks and that constant glow in his eyes.” Hoseok joined in.
“Stop you both.” Tae glared at Jimin who bleeped at him in return.
“Let us promote the cute Yoongi agenda in peace.” Jimin countered.
“Idiots.” Tae pouted.
“Hater!” Jimin shouted.
But at the end they all agreed with Jimin’s plan and now they just had to make cat shaped chocolates for the date on Saturday and very obviously Yoongi cute agenda hater was not allowed to make anything. Thanks to Jimin’s courtesy.
****
On the BIG DATE DAY, Hoseok dressed just as Jimin had asked him to do. He didn’t even try a new hairstyle. He did everything as Jimin had instructed.
On the other hand, Yoongi was forced to the salon one day before the date to get his hair dyed. Like Yoongi was completely against it but Jimin ignored him like he ignored Tae after Tae ditches him in among us. Having his black hair now turned to ash blond with half wavy locks with black undercut, he looked so so different. What would Hoseok think if he saw this? Would he like it?
“He will like it.”
Yoongi looked at Jimin with wide eyes.
“I can literally hear your thoughts hyungie.”
Yoongi made a disgusted face to show how he hated Jimin and his senses.
“You look beautiful hyung trust me. If anything, Hoseok hyung, might actually forget to even talk to you and keep staring at you with his mouth all gaping as if he saw an angel or something.”
Yoongi rolled his eyes at that cause honestly was very exaggerated, also very over the top drama filled Mimi thing to say.
“C’mon now let’s buy you some coat cause I really don’t want you to wear that 1987 jacket and no before you tell me its only two years old, no! it is older than Tae and I.”
Well.. it true. But that made Yoongi smack Jimin’s shoulder anyway.
******
The next time Yoongi met Hoseok, as much he would hate to admit it, Hoseok indeed looked at him like a gaping fish. For a moment Yoongi got scared that maybe just maybe Hoseok didn’t like his new look but when he looked away in slight sadness Hoseok pulled him by his waist and hugged him tightly. If this wasn’t enough, he also ended up kissing the top of Yoongi’s hair.
“My god! No really you look so-”
Yoongi looked at him to continue.
“You look beautiful baby. I mean you just… I don’t know whose idea this was but you look so-”
“Tasty?” Tae interrupted.
“Ethereal.” Hoseok corrected him.
“Oh my god Hoseokie hyung learnt a new word.”
“Can you stop now?” Yoongi rolled his eyes at his younger brother.
“Okay sorry sorry let’s get out now cause Jimin is waiting too.”
Knowing the plan, Hoseok quickly let Yoongi into the cab and then to the theatre leaving Tae to go plan with Jimin. While watching the movie Yoongi ended up leaning his head on the other’s shoulder as they intertwined their hands on the arm rest. As cute as it was, Hoseok literally couldn’t eat a single popcorn with his left hand. Truly devastating but cute at the same time. The soft hair kept tickling Hoseok’s cheek every time Yoongi laughed and it was so endearing that Hoseok want to eat popcorn was replaced by his want to kiss those pink lips.
Yoongi was just perfect in every sense. Hoseok really got lucky and if everything went well, he couod finally let his noona meet his boyfriend.
****
After the movie date, Hoseok took Yoongi to the next stop and much to his surprise, Yoongi not once asked or stopped him. All he did was kept holding his hand and smiling like a baby who had just won the largest teddy bear. Whatever it may be, they both were happy and that’s what mattered.
…..
At the fair, the boys spent their time eating and clicking pics. They even tried some games but when it came to shooting, Yoongi fell back from the impact. Tiny boy indeed. For the next two chances, Hoseok made sure to hold Yoongi’s hand properly by hugging him from behind. But sadly they missed both their chances.
What Hoseok blamed on luck was actually Yoongi’s’ fault cause when the other hugged him, he couldn’t stop looking up at him. While Hoseok’s focus was on the balloons, Yoongi had his eyes set on the other’s face. It was honestly so close that he could even smell his perfume…a little vanilla. Sweet calming vanilla.
Their journey didn’t end there though. The couple took to the rides and the Ferris wheel and mirror maze, giggling and clicking many pictures and sharing kisses here and there. Hoseok even managed to win Yoongi his favorite Kumamon toy. The toy might have been a little big for Yoongi though cause he definitely tripped in excitement and would have hurt himself had Hoseok not been then holding his hand constantly. For Yoongi this was it, when Hoseok called for a cab he really thought that they were going home but to his surprise they were heading towards the Han river.
Confused he looked at the other.
“There is a little something I want to show you.”
“What?” he gestured with those big puppy eyes.
“Why don’t we wait for that hmm? Just a little bit more and oh! Look here we are.”
……
When Yoongi finally got out of the cab, he was met with the most ordinary looking site. Literally why were they here. It was just some people eating hot fish bread and looking at the river and the lights. While he was still looking at the view, Hoseok crept behind him and covered his eyes with one hand while using the other to hold the former’s hand.
“Just come with me okay...”
Yoongi trusted him too much and he nodded before Hoseok took him to the said place. Upon reaching there, Hoseok slowly removed his hand from Yoongi’s eyes.
“Here.”
And damn... what a sight. It was so beautiful. A little secluded area with a little greenery and that too by the bank. The trees and bushes had fairy lights of all colors on them but they still looked soothing. The way to the place had small lanterns on the sides. Under the lights, was a white cloth acting as a cover and there was placed a small table with champagne and chocolates with comfortable pillows to sit on either sides. As Yoongi kept looking more and more, he finally stopped at two figures standing at a distance waving at them. Wait... wait! That was Jimin and Tae.
Yoongi turned towards Hoseok to ask the same.
“Yeah, they kind off helped me with it”.
The next time Yoongi looked at the boys, they were much nearer. The couple waited for Jimin and Taehyung to finally reach them.
“So hyungs how was the date so far?”
Hoseok and Yoongi looked at each other and then remembered about everything and their small peck on the Ferris wheel and looked away, face all red.
“Tae, I guess it went reallllly well. I mean look at them already. Anyways hyungs, we will be nearby just in case you both need any help. And please enjoy this little present from Hoseok hyungie. It was all his idea.”
Hoseok was shocked when Jimin said that and tried to say something but Jimin just shook his head and smiled.
“You know hyung he also made you chocolates. See it’s on the small table there.”
Well that made Yoongi look at Hoseok with extra starry eyes and the other could do nothing much except scratch his head and look away to avoid further blush damage.
“Well I guess we should go now Jimin-ah. Hyung remember to call us if you need anything okay?” Tae said as he placed his hand on Jimin’s back.
Both the hyungs nodded and that was the queue for the younger ones to leave. On the way back, Tae looked at Jimin and smirked.
“What?”
“I think Hoseok hyung will ask Yoongi hyung about being his boyfriend first.” Tae said.
“Pffft what a joke... you and Hoseokie hyung are same. If anything Yoongi hyung will ask first.”
“Excuse me!”
“Excused.” Jimin smirked.
“Fine wanna bet?”
“Fine baby. I am gonna win anyway.”
“We will see. So if I win, I want to see your new dance ’Filter’s’ choreography…alone…on me.”
“No!! that is a surprise for you.”
“I want to see it!”
“Fine! And if I win, I want you to show me the painting you made of me last month.”
“No!”
“Yes!”
“You are naked in it.”
“I don’t care!!”
“FINE! DEAL!” they both shouted together.
……
Having Yoongi slightly dizzy from the champagne was way different from having him dizzy on japchae and chocolates. Yoongi drunk on food is playful and kept talking in gestures and pointing at random stars and buildings in the skyline.
Yoongi drunk on champagne was more of a quiet and cozy Yoongi. The boys didn’t even realize when they had their pillows stuck together or when Yoongi had his head on Hoseok’s chest or when they went from talking to just being there, breathing in each other’s scent. They kept looking at each other without saying anything but at the same time saying so much. Gentle smiles were being passed while hands kept running through other’s hair. After years and years of staring, Yoongi took the initiative and inched his face closer to Hoseok’s. Very slowly the other leaned in too. They kept going until they could feel each other’s breaths on their faces and Hoseok finally pressed their lips together. Unlike the Ferris wheel peck, he went ahead to kiss the soft rosy lips which he had dreamt of kissing since day one. Yoongi really had the softest of lips and on top of that layered with an amazing gloss on them.
While Hoseok turned to kiss him better, Yoongi moved his hand from the other’s chest to his hair, carding his hands through the black locks. As the kiss got more intense, Hoseok’s hold on Yoongi’s waist got tighter while the latter pulled on his hair with equal power. Every time one of them tried to break the kiss, the other would pull them in to continue. Had it not been for the cold, they both would have made out till the sun was up in the sky next morning. As they finally separated, Hoseok held Yoongi close to him for a while before deciding to walk towards the river.
Under the night sky and shiny skyline, they took their time looking at the stars and the boats that were still in the river. A little walk here and there. A little more talks and giggles here and there. Just a little more of everything and Hoseok decided that it was finally time to ask the big question.
Halting at their date spot again, Hoseok sat down with Yoongi on his lap. He kissed him softly once before moving back to ask.
“Yoongi I wanted to ask you something.”
Yoongi nodded for him to continue.
“I actually... I like you a lot and I used to keep looking at you and I don’t even know how many videos I have of you playing the little baker and honesty I just-”
Yoongi put a finger on his lips to shut him up. He then moved back and pulled a paper out of his pocket and gave it to Hoseok. When Hoseok opened the paper, it was actually the bill to their first date. Confused he looked at Yoongi.
“What is this? Do I have to pay first? I can, you know.”
Yoongi facepalmed himself. He then brought the paper closer to Hoseok asking him to read it properly and who was Hoseok to deny. Bringing the paper closer, he read the contents.
“can my boyfriend have all this with me again?”
“Yoongi I-...” oh.
“Yoongi!” oH.
“YOONGI! You want me to have this again?!” OH.
“Oh wait…” it finally hit him.
“YOONGI YOU CALLED ME YOU BOYFRIEND?!”
Yoongi laughed at how the other went from confused to blank to happy to blank and then ultimately insane.
“I was gonna ask and you already made me your boyfriend. What if I had said no?”
Yoongi smirked and then turned the paper over and there it was.
“if not, then pay me money for all the videos you made of me”
And that cracked them up. It was so funny for Hoseok because he really would have to pay a lot of money to Yoongi because he just has so many videos of him cooking and creating magic in his kitchen. Hoseok would become bankrupt happily if the case were any different but right now, he had a boyfriend and he didn’t have to pay anyone.

It was December and the boys were all getting ready to go home. Hoseok was packing the last of his stuff before going to Yoongi’s place from where they would leave for Hoseok’s parents house. Taehyung decided to take Jimin with him, to Busan first for Christmas and then to Daegu for his birthday. Hoseok made sure to pack his video making equipments cause what if his mom and Yoongi team up for a special cooking video.
Oh yeah! The new couple actually came up with this new idea of making videos of Yoongi cooking and posting it online and also on the café’s blog. In short time, the channel had gained good number of subscribers because it was little cooking and more of Hoseok and Yoongi flirting and fighting with occasional funny appearances from Tae and Jimin. It was so cool and amazing. If not the cooking videos, Hoseok posted his dance routines online and Jimin featured in some of them. Overall the boys were enjoying themselves… especially Hoseok and Yoongi. And even more now, cause Hoseok was finally taking his boyfriend home with the hope of coming back with a fiancé and ring on his finger.
