Team nearly cried when he noticed the top of a blonde head of hair peeking out from the crowd of exiting passengers. But, as it was, Pharm was to his left and Dean was trailing behind them as they searched the crowd for Win. He had come to terms with his feelings a long time ago, and his friends had helped him feel brave enough to show those feelings around others but he was not about to let Pharm catch him crying over a boy. He would never live that down.
"Hia!" He shouted out before registering that Win would definitely not be able to hear him or even see him.
"Do you see him?" Pharm asked, voice mirroring Team's excited tone. The black-haired swimmer pointed at the blonde head now coming further into view. Suddenly, Team's heart was in his throat, so much that he felt like he was choking on it. His hands felt clammy and he busied them by wiping them on his jeans.
"Well?" His friend prompted.
"Well what?" Team asked, eyes laser focused on the parting crowd, where Win now stood. He hadn't noticed them yet.
Pharm groaned with a smile on his lips and shoved Team forward, "go get him!"
Team awkwardly stumbled forward. It had been three months since they had last seen each other. To him, three months seemed like too long to be apart, but from all the long-distance relationship forums he had been browsing he knew he ought to feel lucky to spend that little time apart - no matter how much it had been ripping Team apart inside to be away from Win. He knew Win felt the same way too. Knew how much Win suffered whenever he had to be away from the people he loved, especially family.
He looked behind himself at Pharm, who shooed at him. When he turned back, he could clearly see Win standing between two rows of benches. Team could see his whole body, from his head to his toes, and the burning, tight feeling in his throat flared up again. Sparks ran up his spine, and he felt frozen in place. So close to the one thing that cured his nightmares and helped him sleep at night. The one thing that made him feel that tingly, magical feeling of love for the first time. The absolutely annoyingly handsome thing that could make him light up red like a Christmas tree with the right few words.
Win.
When their eyes met, Team could feel himself melt on the spot. The butterflies flitted to life in his stomach and when Win left his suitcase behind and rushed towards him, he was running before he even realized.
When his boyfriend's long arms wrapped him up again, he let out a shuddered breath into his neck, and he felt Win's shuddered breath on his. Team's arms came up and tightly locked around his shoulders while Win's were firmly planted around his waist and not intent on moving. The blonde barely pulled himself out of his boyfriend's neck to say, "I missed you baby."
Team sighed and squeezed him tight, the joy now forming a smile on his face, "I missed you too hia."
Eventually, though, Win pulled away and Team wondered if he knew how beautiful he was. His brown eyes were full of raw adoration that Team only ever saw directed his way. Suddenly, Win's hand was on his face, and the touch sent further shocks down his spine. He was wiping away some of the liquid joy that had gathered in Team's eyes.
"Don't cry," he whispered into the small space between them, the little bubble that for now was just for the two of them.
"I'm not," Team grumbled, a pout forming on his lips as he pushed Win's hand away, threading their fingers together along the way and left them hanging connected between them, wiping at his eyes with his other hand, "I was just happy to see you."
Win squeezed his hand, "I'm happy to see you too."
God, Win missed that little pout.
Still linked together, Win and Team approach their friends. The blonde gives a much more manly but not any less emotional hug to his best friend. Then he turns to Pharm, leaning in for a tender hug, holding him gently like a porcelain doll and whispering something in his ear before he pulled away. Team rolled his eyes. He knows that Win is resolutely his and Pharm is resolutely Dean's - in fact, Team is very sure that the only reason Win acts so romantic with Pharm is to piss Dean off, so he's not upset. He's more upset about the nature of their relationship that ends with his closest friend and his boyfriend teaming up to tease him, more accurately.
But, it does give him something to complain about, and whining is a surefire way to get his boyfriend's attention, who hasn't looked at him in at least ten seconds.
So, he clears his throat over-exaggeratedly. Win turns to face him, an all too bright smile on his face that does nothing to mask his excitement at being home. And Team can't help smiling back. The blonde moves to his side and slides an arm around his waist.
Team tries to keep the corners of his mouth from pointing up so hard it hurts, and Pharm has an eyebrow raised at him.
By the time Win is in the passenger's seat of Team's car with his suitcase in the trunk, the younger has managed to get his face under control. They're on their way to Team's dorm and they both steal glances at each other the whole ride, not saying much. They arrive, unpack the car, and take the elevator up in silence. Win waves at the front desk attendant, and Team smiles in the crossfire, the information that Win is actually home sinking further into the cracks of Team's brain.
Team unlocks his dorm room and lets Win walk in first. He takes a glance around the room, a content smile on his face. When the dark-haired boy shuts the door, his boyfriend takes one look at him before flopping onto the bed, a crazed, exhausted noise leaving him.
Team moves his suitcase out of the way before he stands by the bed and just, observes Win.
His hair is grown out, making it clear he's not a natural blonde. Team can't tell if he's wearing different earrings, but they're still there. The top of the flame tattoo on his hip is peeking out. He opens his brown eyes and that same in-love expression is filling them. This is the same Win. And he's here. Home. For now, at least.
Win pats the space next to him with a limp wrist. The corners of Team's mouth turn up, and he plops down beside his boyfriend.
"I missed you," Win mumbles as he throws an arm around Team and snuggles into his chest.
His heart soars.

When they wake up the next morning, Team decides to put up with Win's morning breath in favor of catching up on all the kisses they had missed in three months.
Tomorrow they leave for a resort that Win had booked a room at. They'll be staying for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Win fortunately didn't need to pack, he would just be using the suitcase he brought from London, but Team - despite knowing for a few days now - hadn't yet packed his own bag.
Team gasped as Win suddenly broke the kiss and he got distracted by staring at the blonde's kiss-bitten lips before he realized his boyfriend was speaking.
"Let's pack your bag before you forget," he said. The younger stared up at him, thinking about how much he wanted to just keep kissing, but not being able to form the words through his fuzzy brain.
Win, seeming to know what his expression was saying, leaned closer and said, "we can keep kissing later," before popping one last kiss on his lips and rolling off of him.
Team groaned as cold seeped across his body from where Win's had been. He grasped at the sheets and pulled them overtop him.
Win walked over to his wardrobe, opening it before turning his head and narrowing his eyes at Team.
"Up," he demanded. Team let out a childish whine and flipped the covers back, forcing himself from the bed. He padded over to Win and started pulling clothes from the dresser.
Win pecked him on the side of the head when he got close, and Team dodged it, pretending not to like it.
—
They took a train to the resort the next morning, and Team felt Win petting his head and rubbing his arm the whole way there. Team was pretending to sleep, pretending to be mad at Win for having to wake up at all. Win knew he wasn't mad.
—
The resort was an immediate relaxer for them both as they approached the structure. There was tall plants, trees, and flowers everywhere. It felt like a hidden oasis and Team immediately felt a secure feeling wash over him. Hidden and private and away from judgmental eyes.
The rooms were all separate buildings no less beautiful or hidden. They almost got lost trying to find theirs, and they wouldn't need to find their way out until the end of their stay, so it was okay. Team couldn't see much of the structure from all the vines and trees covering it, but the inside was bigger than it seemed from the outside. There was a gigantic floor-to-ceiling window across the whole backside of the room. There was a kitchen against it to the right, in front was bar stools and a small dining area. To the left was a small living room area, and the left back corner was taken up by a separate room, presumably the bedroom.
Win stepped right into the center, spinning around and taking in the place, "wow," he said in awe.
Team didn't move from his spot and observed Win's bright eyes and relaxed smile.
"Hia, you didn't have to do all this," he commented. The blonde immediately turned and approached him.
"Baby don't worry about it please," he begged softly and Team sucked in a breath as his long arms wound around his waist.
"Okay," he conceded, sliding his hands up Win's chest to hook around his neck. An eyebrow quirked at the movement. Team leaned into Win's shoulder, hugging him close with his arms.
"Let's put our stuff away," Win suggested.
"M'kay," Team said back, reluctantly retreating to grab his suitcase and wheel it into the back room alongside Win.
When he opened the door, there was another floor-to-ceiling window across the wall, across from it was a large bed and not much else besides it. Win smirked and Team shoved his shoulder into him.
"What?!" He exclaimed.
"Behave yourself," Team warned with a finger right in his face. Win put his hand to his forehead in a mock salute.
"Yes sir!" Team shook his head and smiled.
After putting their clothes away, Win insisted they take a shower. They undressed and cleaned each other with soft touches and gentle hands. It was intimate and they were content to just stay close like that for a while, soaking up what they missed over the last few months. They stayed under the spray for far too long, ending up with reddened skin and smiles.
When they lay in bed that night, Team stared out the window in front of them and felt like everything had fallen into place. The anticipation, stress, and worry about Win's arrival had worked up knots in his shoulders that seemed to be gone now.
They were out in the middle of nowhere, together, and no one was around to see or judge what they did. He smiled and shifted to lay on top of Win, cuddling his face into the space between his neck and his shoulder. Win let out a surprised noise, but hummed in content as Team settled down, running a hand up his back.
—
The next morning was Christmas Eve. Win led Team to a beachside restaurant and Team stared at Win as the light reflected off the sand and cast beautifully across his face.
They got changed afterwards and swam in the ocean, chased each other down the beach, played volleyball (Win, truthfully, didn't stand a chance against Team), and stayed out until the sun was dipping below the horizon, lounging in a beach chair together.
Team was cuddled into Win's chest, his legs draped across Win's, a thumb stroking gently at his waist, and it took Team back.
Eventually, the blonde started complaining about his cold feet, and after poking fun at him for the phrasing, Team got off him.
A pair of socks later, they were eating a microwaved dinner and had no qualms about it. After that, they ended up on the balcony, sitting opposite each other, taking in the lights and quiet cacophony of the resort as time ticks closer and closer to midnight.
Team is about to invade Win's chair again when he speaks.
"I have a surprise for you."
Team responds with an eye roll, "hia, I said no presents. I didn't get you anything."
"Not a present, a surprise," he smirks before rising from his chair. Team slumps in his chair, because he really doesn't have anything for him and he hates always being the one who doesn't reciprocate.
Win comes back with a small bag and sits back down, holding it between his hands like an old lady would hold her purse. Team raises a brow.
"Come here," Win prompts. Team scoots his chair towards him.
"Closer," Win repeats, and Team obeys, coming so close that all he can focus on are Win's warm brown eyes sparkling in the light. Between their bodies, Win reaches into the bag, and pulls out a few leaves of greenery that Team immediately recognizes from TV.
"That's not what mistletoe looks like," Team states.
"Yes it is?" Win says, a tilt to his head that indicates he thinks Team is joking.
"Hia, that's not mistletoe. Hold on, stay here," Team says before leaving the balcony.
Win's heart sinks and he is left wondering - did he really fuck up again? The first time was a genuine mistake but this time he tried his best, and now he's hot all over with embarrassment.
Team comes back with his hands behind his back and Win stands up to apologize, stopping when Team pulls out a head of broccoli with a red ribbon around it.
Win is stunned and wonders why he ever doubted his lovely baby.
Team steps closer, "Merry Christmas hia," he holds the broccoli up, "kiss me?"
Win tackles him to the wall of the house and Team immediately breaks away from his lips, "Hia! Watch out! You're gonna break something!"
"I'll break you," Win says, and swallows any reply in his next kiss. In the background, a chime sounds, indicating it is officially Christmas Day.
The next day, they decide to stay in bed and not move even if a natural disaster were to threaten them.
